Thank you so much for watching! :D I'll try to do a Hole mod Guide when I received my durock v2 screw in stabs :D or you can also watch hamaji neo's hole mod :D
If I purchase a GMMK Pro off of the Glorious website and choose to customize it and upgrade to the polycarb plate, choose my switches and keys etc. Will they install the plate for me or will it be separate and have to install it myself once I get my order?
I just built my GMMK pro yesterday, I did the same thing but bought switches elsewhere. You have to swap out the poly plate but it's not that difficult. I just watched a tutorial and followed along, maybe 15-20 minutes :)
@@PenguinsFlyFar hello :) excuse me if I write something wrong as I am a newbie hehe. I just got my board in a couple days ago and I bought Holy Pandas. My key caps set hasn’t arrived yet, but with the extra I have, it seems when I pull out the key cap the switch comes out too. But regular pulling on the switch itself doesn’t seem like it’ll come out easily. I think what helped is loosening the screws that hold the plate and pcb together like someone had suggested! 👍🏻
@@clarissa_24 oh good to hear there's a sort of workaround. Will get the polycarbonate plate and try not tightening the screws too much. Thanks for the suggestion!
And everyone has been saying the polycarbonate plate sounds thockier than other plates but here i find in to be the other way round. Is it just me or do you find it to be like that too? Anyway great sounding board!
@Okan Akgönül Some says pc plate doesnt sound good for GMMK Pro. but for me i prefer it . it is cleaner and way better "FOR ME". :D alum sounds louder but idk i just really prefer the PC plate for my GMMK Pro. i will also try to remove foams soon :D anyways yes go for Polycarb :D u wont regret
Nah its just the board, for some reason for me the gmmk pro sounds less satisfying and has less flex with POM plate, if you look at other boards with gasket mounted keebs (which the gmmk pro is) there is noticeable flex like on the keycult or savage65, hope this helped! (Im just talking about pom plate, but in my opinion aluminum sounds crisp and poppy to me)
Interesting... 1. I would have thought that would sound the other way round... and 2. The Poly sounds a lot nicer, which I didn't expect at all!
after installing it.. does it feel more flexi then aluminium? not to mention u removed the pc plate foam.
I am so horrified of installing that plate I just bought a full kit and am sitting on it just watching videos thanks for posting this fr
idk, seems the aluminum sounds better to me. Aluminum is the stock plate of gmmk pro?
Yes stock is aluminum
ngl I liked the aluminum plate more. Nice video and keep up the good work! Btw r u gonna make a holee mod tutorial or do u have one u recommend?

i have both plates i cannot figure out witch sounds better i feel like the aluminum sounds better i have the poly plate i right now

you'll have to do it your own

witch one did you wind up sticking with
Its way more quiet with the poly plate, now i want to see how the brass sounds in comparison?!
where did you get that screw driver from im having trouble taking off the aluminum plate because i cant take off the circular holed screws
I’m getting issues where the polycarbonate plate gets my pcb to bend upward
Hello, I haven't experience it . Did you remove the Plate foam?
This is an issue with the pc plate itself. It’s not cut precisely. Many ppl on reddit reported it
PC sounds so good hmm i wish they had PC plates for GK61

@@Alcordor that's for GH60, wont work for GK61 as GK61 needs plate mount stabs, that plate only supports PCB mount.
Does the polycarbonate plate pop out any switches or keycaps? I have heard this problem a couple times before, please let me know.
So far my switches are not staying in☹️
@@clarissa_24 Hi! What switches are you using? Was considering swapping to a polycarb plate but I'm very hesitant specifically because of this issue.

I tried removing the foam plate but my all my switches wouldnt stick so I had to put it back in
And then everyone checked their discord.
Hahaha sorry about that XD
hi what do u think about akko cs switches ocean blue ???
Buddy, can i ask what size the screw is? I got the pc plate but i hasn't come with any extra screws 😔
more muted and less thocky on the pc plate which is pleasantly surprising.
With the gmmk pro pc ia the most muted and brass is the best sound. Have all three and pc is the worst.

For the thock i suggest the alum but for a cleaner sound profile i prefer this polycarbonate :D For me i think it always depends on the board xD

keycaps?
Which plate is best for FPS games aluminum or PC? Also this was my first built and my PC plate was a little bent will that damage my board over time?
Graham cracker plate for sure

does polycarbonate plate bend pcb?
Where did you get the Pom plate?
It's a polycarbonate plate. The Pom is the durock pom switches.
may narinig ako na kulisap sa video 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
Just an advice don't use cordless screwdrivers.
Why not?
