The Delight II was my first pod harness. Almost 2 years old now, it's held up well in our harsh desert mountain environment. I have severe back problems, and the Delight II was the was the only pod I could tolerate; I sat in at least 6 others before settling on it. Love the plethora of pockets. I pack it with the instrument cargo full of stuff and it has never been crushed. I can fit my Nova 115 liter pack, hiking poles, and Sombrero bag in the back; my Saucisse bag and a small water bottle goes under the seat. I've flown almost 4 hours and no back pain! Tip for getting into the pod - slightly extend your left leg first, then it is easier to hook the heel of the right boot. ( I have the same HanWag boots) Interesting fact, the Delight was the harness Gavin McClurg used on his Alaska Range traverse. He removed the foam to make room for gear.

Absolutely love my Delight 2 pod!! Great for winter flying. The speed bag has a rubber lining that cuts out all the air. Huge pockets in the speed bag. You can even change out the speed bag or remove it all together. Lots of starge. You can remove the back pad and make it more compact. Love this harness

the pod seems to be quite close of your eyes , in comparison with the lightness 2 , the equipment sticked on pod should be more obvious to read and checked on the second one.

And yet is a huge improvement over the Delight 1, where the chest strap goes exactly over the instruments and is impossible to see the vario.

Luis Socorro I waited for the Delight II, worth the wait. I'm 61, and can't see close without reading glasses, but I have no trouble with the instruments. I don't keep the shoulder straps very tight, this let's me lean back a bit more than the position Greg was in.

im flying a sky reverse 2 at the moment thats falling apart and its soon time to upgrade. I am looking at the delight 2 as a possible upgrade as i want to have the advantages of a pod harness. Only thing is i still really like flying a normal harness, for simple acro like stalls, sats and looping its nice to have a normal harness. I was wondering if you guys know if this harness is any good without the speedbag? I dont want to commit to buying it if the harness sucks without speedbag.

I'd suggest you look at the flybubble.com/supair-evo-lite which you can attach a pod to but is designed to be flown in normal position as well. Most of the pods are designed only for reclined position, so even when you remove the pod you need a stirrup, which is not the flying position you're looking for with acro tendencies ;-)
