    Just purchased this harness from Flybubble. Thanks to Nancy for helping me with the fitting with my broken collarbone! Can’t wait to try it out in a couple of weeks!

    Nice Review! Thank´s a lot. I just wanted to order an other light weight pod harness but after your review(s) I order the Delight. I´m a bit sensitive in turbulances with my connect race , that was the reason why decided to change it. Hope the Delight is a bit more muted.. :)

    I have been flying this harness for 9 months, it's excellent in almost every regard. One complaint I do have is the reserve compartment is very compact. My Ozone angel 140 only just fits. Also, the white string for the pod closure straps is wearing rather quickly. But apart from those minor niggles, the harness is extremely comfortable and does seem to remove some of the "excess noise" as suggested in the review. I agree with everything said here.

    Why oh why would somebody neg this video!?! Great review and professionally captured and edited. I fly a Delight 2 which is a cracking POD Harness. So easy top get in and out (I even fly it on Dunes!) nice and stable, comfortable and extremely well made. I have 80 hours on mine and it still looks new. With this in mind I am not sure where the trade up value is based on what I have seen so far? Also, not sure about those buckles. I had them on my Kortel Karamsutra 2 and they where a bit of pain when grit gets in them and they add weight. The lightweight buckles on the Delight 2 are perfect. As you say, the Delight POD harnesses are great if you want a stable harness which is not talkative so you can relax and enjoy the flight which means you ultimately stay in the air for longer.

      Nick, I sold my 1st very beat up D2 for $300 ( new it was $850) One thing about the old buckles that worries me is it would be nearly impossible to get out of them in a water crash, or if you wanted to undo them prior to a high wind landing to avoid being trapped and dragged.

      We think the Delight 3 is a significant improvement on the Delight 2--which is already a great harness--especially in terms of back support/comfort and safety/protection. Both are great choices for pilots looking for a more stable, comfortable pod harness. The removable mini-seatplate is a great idea, and works well in these two harnesses. The D2 was a very significant improvement on the original Delight 1 which--to be honest--we were never really that happy with, mainly due to instability issues but also not-so-great comfort. As for the buckles, we're happy with both the pass-though buckles on the D2 and the click buckles on the D3; each have their pros and cons, and the difference in weight really doesn't make that much difference on this class/weight of harness! I personally slightly prefer the click buckles for convenience, especially since I am very often testing and comparing kit, so changing frequently - sometimes several or more times per session!

    Great edit as usual Greg! About the harness, I'm between this one and the GTO light as my next one. Currently flying a very comfortable and easy to get in Delight1 I bought second hand, no biggies after getting used to it, the one thing I can't stand is the strap going exactly over the instruments, I can't read my vario and the metal buckles keeps touching the screen of my Oudie.

      given your experience, you could enjoy either GTO light or D3, although D3 will be a more familiar feel. Both have that chest strap over instruments, although it's less of a problem on D3 and better fixed by using an add-on panel. Probably worth waiting for the Lightness3 review later in the year (come on, Advance!)

    Hi! Great review thanks. I currently fly the Sigma10 + Delight 2 combo, does the D3 feel more stable compared to the D2?

      Different but quite similar, I would say.

    How does the lightness 3 compare to the delight 3???
    I hate the idea of slide buckles on the Lightness…. But it’s the number one selling harness?

    Hi! What about the packing volume? Does it fit in a Lightpack 2 90L with a regular ,small sized wing and open face helmet? Cheers, AirGabor

    • @greghamerton4422
      @greghamerton4422 5 лет назад

      pack volume not nearly as good as Lightness 3. I'll have to wait for Carlo to respond fully to your question, as I don't use a Lightpack (Carlo does). If you unzip the back pocket and are careful with the way you pack, maybe, but I wouldn't count on it. I struggled with my Kolibri backpack (generous 80L).

    Nice! My 1st Delight 2 was a Medium with a Medium pod, and after a year I realized I was always cramped. I have quite a bit of kifosis. My 2nd Delight 2 is a Large with a medium pod, it fits better. How similar are the sizes? I have no shop nearby, so I have to mail order. Also wondering about the cargo volume, does it have a similar capacity, and did they keep the under seat compartment. Did they keep the wonderful, large, zippered side pockets?

    • @greghamerton4422
      @greghamerton4422 5 лет назад +1

      I'll double check for you but I think the sizes are similar. Cargo volume is same or larger. Under seat compartment is still there, easier to access. Yes, zippered side pockets. It's a great harness!

    HUGE problem with the Delight 3! Mine just arrived, ditto another friend. We have Delight 2, Large. We take the reserves out of our D2 ( 38m Gin) but they fit VERY tight in the D3 reserve compartment!!! FAIL. The D3 reserve compartment is tiny, and I'm not switching to a smaller reserve. Also, the reserve handle is stitched onto a tiny proprietary reserve bag, too small for my Gin. I had to cut the handle off their proprietary tiny, BLACK impossible to find after deployment bag, and sew a small loop onto the handle so I could make-ahead it onto my Gin bag. I'm VERY dissatisfied, the D2 is great, but this D3 is not only a PITA, there are safety issues.
