Hi Carl, great video! Thanks for sharing such useful information regarding the Kinefinity system. I've read that these cameras are in competition with the top cinema cameras i.e Red and Arri cameras. Therefore, will it be possible for you to do an in-depth comparison video with the Red and/or Alexa video camera to see what set's them apart? Many thanks!
Thank you for covering these cameras! I feel like my main hesitation with the kinefinity line is that not much is known about them. There were really only a few videos covering them but I still want to know more!
I hate you! Well... I envy you is more like it... 😂 Looking forward to see more LF content in your channel... I'm on the fence about trading my T4K for the LF... Not because I need it, but just because!
Hey guys, so excited by this. Could you please do any sample footage and sharpness/aberration, etc. tests with the Mavo Primes lenses?? I would be really interested in seeing how those lenses hold up! Do you have any experience with those personally yet? Thanks!
Thanks for this great info video on the Kinefinity ! Always wanted to know about a fully manual power supply and accessories for cinema quality cameras !
I havent used one, no. They do look interesting though. We have reached out to them but no response yet, shame. They are very different to the Kinefinity cameras though. They are more of a specialist camera wheras the Kine's are a complete modular production system. Carl
Thanks for the video!! Thumbs up kinefinity for making everything interchangeable with all the different sensor size cameras. - It's hard to find a lot of user feedback - Looking forward to some footage and pros and cons.
If you're looking for user feedback, there is a fantastic community group over on Facebook called "Kinefinity Cinema Cameas" which might be of use? Dan
This is just wonderful. I havent even bought any camera with my entire life. I shoot stuff on my phone.... Then this camera lol looks so expensive! But the guy says its more afforable. Omg everything was expensive... The price difference are expensive vs super expensive. Anyway great video!
Spoke to you all at BSC about these guys! Honestly blown away and me and the company are thinking of investing in one. One major question I forgot to ask is how good is the warranty and repairs on these guys? Being based in China and small in the western world is the service on these cameras good? Also which do you personally like the most :) - YBP
We handle all the support and warranty for our UK customers. So should anything happen, you only have to pick up the phone. We have engineers in house who can repair most possible faults, pretty much anything apart from the sensor. If you get in touch with our sales team on sales@proav.co.uk they can explain the details to you. As for which I like the most.. it’s hard to say! I have done the most filming with the Mavo, and just love the images. But the Mavo LF is really something special Carl
Wonderful walkthrough the systems of Kinefinity. Thank you! Question: Can any display be used of ones own choice? Looking at the ultra bright Feelworld FW279S 7 Inch 2200nit. And the Luts from the camera will come through the camera correct, not the actual Kinemon itself? Thanks again!
ProAV TV and can the Mavo LF output all overlays to an external monitor via hdmi or sdi? Like peaking, volume monitor, time code and such? For example sony mirrorless cameras cannot in 4K. Thanks again so much!
The MAVO primes are PL mount, so you'll need to use one of the PL adapters. In terms of reviews, they are still an unreleased product, but we should be taking a look at them once they are released. Dan
Yep, since this video was made, Kinefinity has released the Kineback Lite, which is essentially a low profile V-Lock plate: www.proav.co.uk/kinefinity-kineback-lite You of course have the option of using BP-U style batteries in the sidegrip also. Dan
I don't like how the sidegrip attaches. And I don't really get why doesn't E mount has no electronics (I see they could have left a bit less space between the sensor and the mounting point for the bayonet so it could fit). All other seems nicely made though
If you're referring to the Kineback-W, there is actually a lot going on other than the V-Lock plate, there are XLR ports, pre-amps, the DarkTower Card slot, SDI boards and a fan to keep it all cool. Kinefinity do make a Kineback Lite, which is just a V-Lock plate without all the extras, and that's a lot smaller: www.proav.co.uk/kinefinity-kineback-lite Dan

Certainly, for people who would love to own a RED but the cost is prohibitive, the Kinefinity is a much more sensible option for people.
Carl
Mavo LF body alone is $12K. It's not "poor man's Red". But BMPCC 4K is. Unfortunately it's not full frame.

Do the Mavo lenses fit directly to the cams or do we need to choose the type of mount when we purchase their lenses? Thanks!

I would be interested to hear about editing with KineRAW. I know REDRAW is much easier to edit with than other formats.
We'll be covering using KineRAW 2.0 once it has been released, so keep an eye out for that.

what song did you use in the first part. BTW nice video
Glad you enjoyed it, its 'Jungle' By Moon From Artlist.

Wow, Mavo on the Ronin-S must be nice.

Why is the battery plate nearly as big as the camera? I understand the battery itself being big but the plate seems to kill the size advantage here.

There is a door that closes when there is no ssd inserted.
