Image look bit softer than red! Make a comparison with red! I feel very happy new portable cine cameras coming i have only sèen red from many years!😀😀😀
Why? They are completely different cameras. Change that to the Mavo, C200, and ursa Mini, maybe through a red in there. All you’re going to hear is “all look great, one is a baby cinema camera which has a way smaller sensor and shit battery, one is a photo camera, another is a cinema camera.
Beautiful footage! About as good as it gets! With such options and flexibility the MAVO LF I believe it will become the camera of choice for many filmmakers over the next year.
For any independent filmmaker, unless you have very deep pockets, it makes zero sense to invest on a RED. Especially here in Europe, where Kinefinity has technical assistance. Even if you have deep pockets, it makes more sense to go for Kinefinity and invest the rest of the money you'd blow on the RED ecosystem and get a new PC or some state of the art glass. I mean, you can buy these cameras in complete, just-charge-the-battery-and-put-a-lens-on packages. The MAVO LF Pro-Package is a little over €18k, and the MAVO s35 Pro-Package is a little over €13k. For everything these cameras offer, this is some of the biggest bang for your buck on the market, at the moment - if not really the biggest.
Thanks for this. I’m really interested in dynamic range test. More how it compares to a “higher-end” camera like a RED Gemini in highlight roll off. Or even against the queen of highlight detail retention. No need to name her. It would be nice to have an idea where it lands in a real world, challenging shooting environment test.
How is the DR compared with Gemini or Alexa Mini? It looks great but they should make a carbon fiver or metal model, touch screen monitor compatibility, optimise handle size.
Blackmagic 6k is $2500 with almost all the features of your LF. Your body is roughly $14000 alone so we’re talking about $20,000-25,000 all in. Is the $20,000 difference in price worth it? Sigma is releasing a full frame 12bit raw external recording camera that will fit in your pocket. Just some things to think about.
Thanks for an awesome explanation video. Any word wether or not the Kine RAW will be fully compatible with Premiere Pro like RED CODE? And also, when you output to an external monitor will you be able to see all in the display like timecode, format, white balance etc, and if you Magnify to look for focus will that be seen on the external monitor as well. The focus part for example does not work on my Sony FS5 Mark II. And I do agree with som previous comments, som parts look very fuzzy, like the guy lighting up a smoke for instance, how come? Last question; any autofocus on this camera? Hope hope hope hope...fingers crossed. Thanks again!
