GW University protesters stand firm on day 9 of pro-Palestinian solidarity encampment

As the pro-Palestinian protest at George Washington University's campus reaches its ninth day Friday, the atmosphere remains charged with emotion and activism.
On Thursday, the D.C. area witnessed two contrasting demonstrations, highlighting the divergent perspectives on the war in Gaza. Tensions further escalated sometime Thursday afternoon when an incident occurred involving the removal of a GW flag, which was replaced with a Palestinian flag, according to the university.
School officials said another flag was raised under an American flag on a nearby pole. GW officials said GWPD removed the Palestinian flags overnight Friday.
