Majesty is my most wanted guitar even that I'm more about some arrow or ML type shapes. But no other guitar can beat Majesty in terms of playabilty. No locking nut, no knobs right under your hands, so you hit them all the time. Easy fret access and neck through which is most playable neck. Stainless steel is also a cool feature. And as addition - variety of tone, guitar is good for everything. Hope one day more signature guitars will be like JP models
@ Musician's Friend can you ask Mr.Petrucci to elaborate more on the Dreamcatcher and Rainmaker pickups? What new characteristics they have? What makes them different from the previous ones (Sonic Ecstasy)?

As a Majesty owner I think it's time to improve also the power system of the Majesty: it's disappointing that a masterpiece of guitar like the Majesty can only work using disposable alkaline batteries. It will be great if EBMM thinks about a rechargeable battery pack like other guitar brands.
Rechargeable batteries fuck out after a while. One day that battery would die, it would be out of production, you now have unusable features on an expensive guitar. 9 Volts will always be around, they’re cheap, and they work. You could always buy rechargeable versions of those anyway.
Warkick and Fishman offers - lithium battery pack usb rechargeable, while EBMM only alkaline due to prevent preamp damages. No upgrades since 2014 and I think there is not the will to do something about that. I really like my majesty, it is one of the best guitar I've ever played but I hate use disposable battery, it is something that is forcing me to use other guitars and this is a mistake
SmokinFudo I will say this about myself when I find a guitar that is right for me I tend not to care what I have to do to achieve its ultimate potential for tone. It has wound up that its been active pickups for me for the last 35 years. I used Duncan livewires for 17 years, I currently use Fishman Fluence Classic humbuckers since their release. Batteries are an inconvenience but its powers what I consider a must have to achieve the tones I want to express. I'm 60 yrs old. I played 3 main guitars over the last 35 years. The Majesty is a bucket list guitar for me.
SmokinFudo I think his point is that eventually a lithium batter will hold a charge for less and less time until it goes bad. At that point, you’d better hope the battery itself doesn’t become obsolete and that you have replacement options for it. 9v batteries will perpetually be made and are cheap.
