Instead of Wonder Woman, it should have been Batman who was not controlled by Braniac, have him not trust the squad at first and try and defeat the league by himself, however he soon realises he can't do it alone and reluctantly trusts the squad and teaches them his contingency plans in order to stand a chance against the league, maybe have then bond and have Batman convince the squad that they should instead try to save the league instead of kill them

Wonder Woman doesn’t really have any weaknesses though. Say what you will about plot armor, but the squad had gadgets to take out the JL. That wouldn’t have worked with Wonder Woman.

b. preform a fear takedown than beat Shark into fin soup
c. disrupt all their guns and walk right in front of them and let the squad do the rest

The worst about it is not even the game being bad, its how it broke your trust, if you go back and rewatch your videos, there was excitement in your voice even when things were not looking good you put your hope in them just to get demolished.

It'll be like the Arkham Games except Jason can shoot and kick ass and he has to be stealthy about it cause the JL can insta kill him.

Deathstroke hired for a bounty we all know that mf is on par with Batman in skills and he's got weapons in comics that can kill literal gods.

Batman in Arkham City: Shrugged off Mad Hatter's mind control. Defeated Ras Al Ghul while hallucinating. Batman in Arkham Origin: Shrugged off Mad Hatter's mind control. Batman in Arkham Knight: Shrugged off Mad Hatter's mind control. Shrugged off Scarecrow's new more potent fear toxin 4 times, with the last time in a concentrated liquid dose injected into the blood directly instead of the usual aerosol form. Defeated a mental battle with Joker in his inner mind world when Joker had fully taken control over his body.

@@KelvinArkgf Not exactly a hardcore fan, but lorewise it is not consistent at all. Batman had been shown to be the only one to escape many times when the entire Justice League got done in. Either that or he had some contingency plan in the event when even he was taken or fallen. It's difficult to believe Batman just did nothing and allowed Brainiac to waltz in and mind control everyone without so much of a fight or contingency plan given how paranoid and careful Batman is, especially when it is proven lorewise Batman had prepared multiple contingency plans to take down his fellow Justice League members should they go rogue. Batman also trained himself to be at the peak of human physical and mental condition, which includes resisting mind control.
Storywise having Batman as the survivor is better as well. The only normal human of the Justice League escaping the mind control and then having no choice but to work with the ragtag group of villains to stop Brainiac. It showcases the human potential and perseverance against overwhelming odds, and make for a better story with better drama, given Batman's hatred for criminals and his history between Harley Quinn and Deadshot, and had to be forced to work together with them for the greater good. Sure Wonder Woman survived the brain control but in the end throughout the whole game, she did nothing of value. All she did was come in, talk lots of idealistic rubbish and did lots of posturing and then she's dead. What's the point of even making her survive if she's of no use to the story whatsoever?

This boss could have been like the Scarecrow trips from Asylum but instead of a linear path, it's on a massive amalgamation of past locations and instead of floating in the center of it all, Batman is legit hunting you across it. I had nightmares about that happening to me with Doctor Crane when I was young.

The only good this this game did is it made people re-experience Batman Arkham games. Also the fact that King shark was able to just use the ring made it quite clear that the developers know jack shit about the JLU and their abilities. Tbh my problem isn't that the JL got put 6ft under, it's how it was done. Guns should be the last of their worries yet that's what they get packed by, instead it couldv'e been done in a way where similar to how a lot of these guys are taken down in the comics suits and gadgets specifically designed to fuck them over are used by the squad on some PS4 Sspidey vs Dock Ock you feel me. If this would've been used instead of the ol cliche of "We got yellow lanterns and gold kryptonite bullets even though that shit should be light work for em" on top of having actual emotional moments (because ngl none of the cutscenes i'm seeing feel like they have émotions in them) then the game would've been at least a bit more appreciated. It's a damm shame because it ain't the developpers fault from what i'm seeing, just the studio not seeming to give a damm about the game
I also think they should've made the game more personal. King Shark should've gotten the chance to fight Aquaman, Harley should've had a more meaningful execution of Batman's death, Deadshot shouldn't even have been a playable character and Boomerang should've had more of an impact in Flash's death

What makes it worse is that if you play Arkham origins, Waller recruits Deathstroke to the suicide squad but he isn't in the game. Which means we could've had a cool hand to hand combat fight animations against batman again but instead we got a washed up open world version of overwatch in the DC universe.

I genuinely can’t believe this has happened, especially going back and watching cutscenes from Arkham Knight. It’s INSANE how far Rocksteady fell.

Literally, they have Batman disable their tech, which makes them unique, but he didn't bother making their guns explode? Or freezing them? Electrocuting them? Etc. Hell, the man has explosive batarangs in Knight he could've used. And somehow, the toxin didn't even kill them the same toxin that he took 3 direct doses into the bloodstream and survived with his will power. On Superman tho you need to read him more cause bros Goated

Here's what Rocksteady should've added; They should've add the part where Brainiac decided to clone the Justice League to make the Suicide squad and Waller "think" that they've been turned evil because of Brainiac.
Also if they could've let us play as superheroes and have better stories or cutscenes, then this would've been the best GOTY.

I was fooled into pre-ordering the deluxe after I played the alpha, they sprinkled just enough Arkham hype into the first section of the game to have me intrigued
I absolutely love Arkham batman and it's just a shame to see them assassinate the verse they built their names on.
Arkham batman made rocksteady a respectable company, and they even killed robin ffs OFFSCREEN
The guy who trained under batman throughout the games to take his place if anything were to happen to him

Firstly, I'm glad to hear that you're not as much of a Superman hater now as you were back then. He's a genuinely good character when portrayed accurately.
Secondly, it's also unbelievable to me that Brainiac, with his 12th level intellect, underestimated and continuously allowed the Squad to live. Even though he had every advantage & multiple chances to kill them.

Batman didn't deserve the disrespect.
The new folks and writers that are working at Rocksteady are trying to dismantle everything that came before them and trying to show if off in the most subtle way possible with that speech Harley gave to Batman before she shot him just to drive the point home. Don't know what they were thinking, even before the passing of Kevin Conroy, but how could they have not been warned that it would not be received well by fans.
To be honest, even if Kevin was still alive I think this would’ve been disrespectful. Not to him, but the character and universe of Arkham Batman, this was THE Batman to me. The one that convinced me Batman wasn’t as boring as I thought beforehand. I don’t understand how all things considered they figured this would go over well.

this is the same batman who's literally, fought 20 plus rouges and won, found 200 plus riddler trophies, solved countless riddles made by a super genius, saved catwoman, defended the entire gcpd and fire force, fought the league of assassins, libertated THE WHOLE of gotham from an ENTIRE ex military trained army who knows batman's moves and skill set with them being probably the most (except for tyga in city) well trained and best put together enemies batman has faced in the arkham games, defeated jason who led said army and ALSO knows batman's every move, no diffed deathstroke and fought THOUSANDS of thugs in the process (in arkham knight alone!!!) all while being shot in the liver AND poisoned/drugged HEAVILY by fear gas basically bringing out the joker's blood in batman which means he was basically going insane while doing all of this, batman did this IN THE SPAN OF 12 HOURS... and bro loses to jokers girl who he's no diffed before easily, a guy with a boomerang, a guy who's got good aim with guns which batmans beaten the better version of and the shark versions of killer croc but just 10x weaker. i give up
Batman should not have died. The big reason is that he is the only one that make winter contingency plans to take out the other Justice League is they went rogue. They are designed to not kill but knock them out so he can knock them out. The ironic thing is that in the comics Batman created a Ultron-like android by the appropriately named Failsafe. Failsafe was designed to kill Batman if he ever went rogue. Failsafe was not only designed by Batman but even could take out the Justice League if the they interfered (Failsafe stabbed Superman with Kyptonite blades - without even looking at him! Failsafe was a beast). I think Failsafe should been in this as a lone hunter that will agree yo work with the four lunatics ... If they lead him to Batman. This game is Truly a disgrace to the entirety of the Arkham series, and Kevin Conroy’s legacy as a whole. I’m not just saying this because of the fact that Batman dies, but due to how he dies. They literally gun him down, and he tries to fight them while they’re armed. Arkham Batman is smarter than running right into armed thugs (because that’s all that the suicide squad are) and he would either use stealth or disable their weapons first. In Arkham City he literally says in the second mission “Attacking armed thugs head-on is suicide. I need to disappear, pick them off silently one by one.” Overall, For this being Kevin Conroy’s last performance as Arkham Batman, they really screwed him over.
Well it fits. Gotham Knights had good story and bad gameplay, and SSKTJL has a bad story, and good gameplay (for half the characters)

Also, while I understand how everyone feels about the death of Batman in this game, it’s the suicide squad. This game is about what I expected it to be with the looter shooter aspect of it. Granted they could’ve done some things better (like not make the gameplay so repetitive and the traversal so complex) but they got the core of suicide squad down in general imo. They really just some criminals with guns and high tech weaponry tasked by someone to kill a target (or in this case targets)….with a shark in this version of the team. Also, you’d be surprised how many times Superman can be stopped with regular kryptonite bullets lol. I also feel like the plot armor given was reasonable in a gameplay aspect because if the actions that would be smart were taken, the game wouldn’t happen, such as it is with most comics stories a lot of the time. I still feel the game isn’t the best it could be tho so a 5-6/10 is fair (6.5 at best)

I recently found out that theres an audio log to explain why deadshot sudden goes from white to black. Apparently the black Deadshot is the cannon deadshot and some guy went around using his name and Batman arrested him thinking he was the real Deadshot.
Which makes zero sense because the white Deadshot had a daughter named Zoe, too

Seeing Batman's death in this game broke my heart. I played through the Arkham Games ever since I was little, and to see him tarnished like this.
I was in full denial the first day I saw it. I was hoping that it was a fakeout and maybe the ending would tell something but no. Batman died in a game that's not even his, and not only that, his legacy too. If Tim died off-screen, if the Batfamily died off-screen, who'll complete Batman's mission?

Hear me out. Robin's mask is removed from the floor, and the cutscene plays out as normal, except the SS actually has a good attention span, and Batman can finish his contingency monologues about each JL member.
At the end of the cutscene, Batman intoxicates the Squad with toxin again, and after, they quickly come to conclusion they cannot beat him as he has the advantage, so then you escape the fear toxin like batcave, with proper batman jumpscares.
After getting out of the batcave, luckily still with their lives, the Squad takes note of Batman's mentioning of the Bat Family, and tries to find them. The Squad eventually finds the Bat Family, already in Metropolis planning on a way to takedown Batman now that he's mind controlled. The Squad asks the Bat Family for their aid in taking down Batman.
After some gameplay sections, you get a proper Batman boss battle, using all your gadgets and skills, alongside aid from Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl/Oracle.
i don’t understand how they can do that to him when he literally had taken out harley multiple times, beat the other deadshot and can definitely beat the one now, and has fought bigger. they disrespect him by a bullet to the head??? it’s worse when twitter is hyping this up. where’s jason at so he can come and kick their ass smh

How I would have wished the bossbattle for batman to go would have been like... the squad being randomly picked off one by one, an AI batman running around, much the same way in the other Arkham games, hiding in vents, able to blow through walls, programmed to stay out of sight and ambush. Give players the ability to free their team mates from being trapped, and make players have to work together to corner Bats into a position with no way of escape, no means of ambush, and force him to fight but give him a small but regenerative health bar so he can't survive in a direct conflict for long but has enough health to dart out of view and can survive a few stray shots.
*Also* don't even announce the fight with a cutscene. Just make the players walk through a few different arenas until he finally strikes.
