Ah yes, the last good race at Texas before it was ruined by excessive PJ1.
This is such a ridiculous argument, pj1 had nothing to do with it. It was never even applied to the bottom grove, how could that be a factor? I'll just copy paste an old comment:
It was a combination of two things, and neither were PJ1:
-No aeroscreen
-Running it at night time
Notice how they all get closer as the track cools down. I'm sure we'd see something similar to this if they changed the start time back. Or maybe not, the weight of the aeroscreen might be too much for us to ever see good oval racing again.
Notice how ALL oval racing in this series started to suck after they added the aeroscreen.
@@MrJohansen They can only run the bottom groove because there is no PJ1 down there. It completely killed the top groove. The Firestone tires will not hook up on the PJ1 prepped surface.
@@MrJohansen The cars start spinning out when these cars go onto the PJ1. They are too afraid to go up there. It makes it harder to get clean air.
@@MrJohansen the PJ1 at Texas is the problem, according to Rahal firestone told him the tires can lose as much as 20%of their grip when they try to run on the PJ1.
What, everyone in inside LINE every time in 2019, the pj1 isnt the issue , is the track config and aero package
Best AOWR race on a superspeedway outside of the Indy 500 IMO.
Idk if id call reconfog texas a super speedway
Aowr? What does that mean?

Thanks to both of you guys for the quick replys!
34:08 is the race start
I used to love Texas but ever since they put the pj1 down they ruined it. Even the nascar race here isn’t good anymore.
Current Texas layout with no PJ1: good
They should've grinded down the top lane, like they did with Bristol in 2012
@@evannuh-koo-la4054 Here's what I think they should have did. Make the turns progressively banked. The banking I would have wanted for both turns is 20-24 degrees
Now that NAPCAR is going back to Gateway, I'm sure they will destroy it with PJ1 as well. All in the name of eliminating Indycar competition.
@@evannuh-koo-la4054 I vote IndyCar in Bristol, TN

Notice how ALL oval racing in this series started to suck after they added the aeroscreen. That's not a coincidence. Even drivers like Conor daly have mentioned how much more frontheavy the cars are now.
NASCAR/Indycar should have a race doubleheader weekend

Wow nice catch
Thanks again @NTT INDYCAR SERIES 😎
Despite the current layout at Texas sucks but I did enjoy the battle at the end between Josef Newgarden and Alexander Rossi.
Thanks for the view indycar series, enjoyable. 👍 🇬🇧
Herta just sent it on the inside. Yeah, it did wreck both himself and Dixon, but that was something worth trying.
The move

This race don’t got nothing on Texas 2016
The IRL races from 2000 to 2005 were the best at Texas.

Yes, but they won't put me in the car 👍👍👍
Racing incident?!?!?!?! He ran Dixon over... Call it a rookie mistake if ya want but there is no sense in that...
Low key like watching Indycar more than NASCAR due to a lot less commentators with heavy southern accents
What's wrong with Southern accents? Guessing you don't like women commentators either..
