I’m glad that we had the Indy 500 in 2020 despite COVID and the race moving to the month of August instead of the month of May, even though it felt different without fans.
Also I’m glad that INDYCAR does not do GWC like NASCAR does, even though it sucks that it ended under caution and I was glad that Spencer Pigot was okay from that hard crash.

Takuma Sato's second Indy 500 win which he really deserved! It was the second Indy 500 win for car #30 after Arie Luyendyk in 1990. It was the first Indy 500 to take place outside the month of the May. It was the first year since 1945 where the Indy 500 didn't take place in the month of May. It was Bobby Rahal's second Indy 500 win as an owner after 2004 and third overall. Patricio O'Ward was rookie of the year with a 6th place finish as he was the only rookie out of the five to complete the full 500 miles and the third Mexican to win rookie of the year at the "500" after Josele Garza and Bernard Jourdain. He was also fast during Carb Day practice. It was the second Indy 500 on NBC after the year before.
sato has never deserved a win. he wrecked anyone and everyone as much as he could in indy. the only races he finished were the ones he couldn't find a good enough spot to pile up 10 cars.

Didn't Bobby Rahal win on a Saturday in JUNE in 1986?
This was such a weird day, but not in a good way. I was so depressed in May on the day I should’ve been leaving to go out to Indiana. It was so sad to watch this on tv and not in person. Please don’t ever do that to me again. I felt like I literally lost someone close to me.
I was there in the stand for 2001, 2002, 2009, and I had to miss 2021. I feel like it is the greatest disappointment in my life and I can never miss another one ESPECIALLY if Castroneves is running. I watched him win his 4th in a puddle of tears in my living room. I will never forget that feeling.

This was overall just a bad look for the Indy 500 and racing in general. Politics prevailed and it was a slap in the face to race fans as if to say “we don’t need you here”

So ending the race under yellow is ridiculous, but having a red flag late in the race to have a sprint at the finish is also ridiculous for others...
