yo I’ve seen alot of versions of the song by other known really talented singers and they struggled but charice version tops them all. I mean the song is at a higher level already and she absolutely killed it, she took it to a much higher level.

In Philippines, most of them practice their hidden talent in singing subconsciously. What i mean by subconsciously is by playing and hearing music as if it's your own. To put it in example, pick your favorite song and forcefully try to forget the original voice of the song. From there, as you hear the melody, you can make up your own tune. Sing along and walah! It's like a cover but with different properties of execution. If you wonder how to acquire the same reach of Charice, first prepare your throat to bleed and second sing high notes a trillion times.

When she was introduced by Oprah she is a prodigy in that sense. Her mom is a singer and that was her formal training of some sort. When she gets to be famous she goes to a renowned vocal trainer who trains Ariana Grande and other famous singers. And she was complimented of her range. She was asked to bow and other movements while doing vocal exercises never falters while pitch goes higher and higher. Just a fun to watch as it was posted here in You Tube. Rehearsals were amazing too the staffs can’t but applaud her and she was around 15 then.
Too bad she threw it all away.. I miss CHARICE... she could have been in Hollywood by now if I only...

I highly recommend also Charice Pempengco "NOTE TO GOD" Live in Oprah Winfrey Show in America wayback I think 2007 when she was invited to performed in Oprah if I'm not mistaken. The song has a deep and move message especially in this tough times. She used to be a Filipina lady before but she converted herself to a Lesbian long time ago I think. I'm sure a lot of Filipino subscribers and others can relate and will like it and the song has a very deep message especially when she sang it Live in Oprah. I watched Celine sing this live and she was very nasal to the point the words were distorted but Charisse have clarity in her voice even at low and high notes. Prefer Charice's version over Celine. But the
Recorded studio version of Celine was as good as this version of Charice. Just my 2 cents.
I prefer Celine Dion’s version. Charice Pempengco did well in her own interpretation especially on low tunes and I also love her for it but I am obviously biased towards Celine Dion. Celine Dion might go nasal on high notes sometimes but that makes it unique for Celine.

Some wise reviewer stated while writing about Tarja’s ‘Colours in the Dark’ that you should never go full diva. You don’t even know how happy I was to see Charice not going full diva in the first choruses and, instead, showing extreme amount of voice control - I think this is what proves she’s extremely talented (is because this is something you never lose).
On this note: thank you for speaking of her transition in such tactful way. I know some people who actually had what they represented obscured by the focus on who they were (in a wrong way). Really happy to see you factoring this but only to give more context...
I am happy to see this reaction. Charice is one of the most talented singers I've ever seen live. There are many more outstanding performances worth checking out, and I am glad you will be reviewing Jake as well. That is David Foster on piano, I believe he was the original producer of this song so he does know it quite well indeed.
I recommend checking out Charice performing Bodyguard Medley at Mandalay Bay, made famous by Whitney and written by David Foster, or Charice singing a duet with Celine at Madison Square Garden. Thanks for your reactions Sam, good stuff.
