She's the best phillipines international singer back in a days love her voice she also sang Listen one of the show and she sang beautifully. Thanks for the reaction God bless 💖💖💖
Remember she is only 4'6-8" tall. Do you recognize the piano player? David Foster, they call him the hit man. He wrote this little diddie. Charice was the Filipino that broke the barrier down between the Philippines and U.S. She was championed by David Foster, Oprah, and Celine. She was a powerhouse, I love watching her sing.
Honestly for me (and many others) besides Celines cover of this song, THIS cover is the gold standard. She is 19 here, so wow! I saw this performance when PBS aired it originally and I stood up in my living room and gave her a standing Ovation. The audience reaction says it all! Music ultimately is about making the listener feel , and every single time no matter how many times I see this performance (which is probably 100s at this point 😂) it gives me Goosebumps to almost tears. David Foster produced this for Celine Dion (original writer and singer was Eric Carmen) He hand picked Charice to deliver it when he reprised it. I'm not sure how much you're into classical music but there's an interesting story with this song that happened with the original writer Eric Carmen, because he sampled some from Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto in C minor (worth a read).
This is what she gave up for a life of freedom. I feel sorry but jake zyrus is happier now than being Charice. I wish she still sings like this crazy good but not anymore. It's so nice to revisit her great vocals. I'm always looking forward to your analysis.
Damn, bro. I thought there was nothing on how Charice sang the song that you would react. But you still heard the very small details and techniques. Awesome.
Kareena K that’s what I am trying to arrive at that happiness isn’t the goal - coz if it is - why there’s a lot of people ended broken in pursuit of happiness - There is a morale law that defines every aspect of life - go outside that realm - happiness becomes an empty pursuit coz it leaves you empty!!!!
Charice P. is famous in the philippines and US and the best singers of the world but now 2018 her voice change and prefer in male vocal and I respect her .
Just subscribed... She's the reason why I have been watching all these reaction videos. I find her voice so clear, well modulated and with soul. More power to your channel! Cheers!
Adonai/ Rapah if it's not in the same range and style, then it's not the same. She can't belt it those high notes with all the male hormones in her system.
I like the way you reacted and your analysis Sir....more reaction of charice please.....especially one moment in time on ASAP show in yhe Philippines...thank you...more power to you...we learn a lot from you about singing though I dont have a good voice...im enjoying ....thats the best thing y im listening...
great ear you gave wonderful analysis, your wow said everything. And she was 18 the video was in 2010 amazing voice I miss Charice this video of her is fantastic.
I like to add to this analysis that at 3:22 just after that incredible high long note, the run was equally awesome and not to be missed. I am totally blown away by that solid, air filled deep throat and diaphragm run that completed the high note! In the same manner Charice carried her voice throughout her singing in a totally satisfying and out of this world fashion.
Dissected analysis, great and interesting! Charice was indeed a heavenly talent. Someone can analyze and learn about it but no one can acquire that gift if not born with it. Unfortunately that voice doesn’t exist anymore. Dig a bit more you will know why. But at the same time, you cannot understand “why” other than just “respect her”. I think reading more into her life events from childhood to now, the story was even more amazing than the vocal techniques. Btw, she was 18 at the time of this performance.
I like how he reacted, with all the detailed points. He takes time to react unlike others who will just say she's good and that's it., press the subscribe button.
She was 15 at the video but it was removed by RUclips, that’s why it says 4 years ago. Great review by the way! It would be good if you could compare Charice with Melanie Amaro (the winner of X-Factor) since they both sing the same songs and have similar voice. Thanks
Another great reaction Coach. When you said the piano sounded nice I was happy to hear you say that because that was none other than Mr David Foster. He is very well known for producing albums for Josh Groban and Celine Dion not to mention many more. I hope you will do some more reaction videos of Charice because she's a very talented young lady. By the way you have a beautiful voice I would love to hear you sing. So my request for your next video would be you singing anything you wanted for your fans we really would love it and appreciate it. God bless you my friend
Her best best performance in my opinion is the bodyguard medley, I Have Nothing/I Will Always Love You, she was even younger something around 13 years old
She is one of the best young singer in Phillipines back in a days love her voice. Celine Dion is her idol beautiful reaction bro love it. Hey could you please react to Bella Paige of Voice Australia 2018 she sings that song as well. God bless 💖💖💖💖
You should watch her in Star King that's a TV show in Korea.. she appeared on that show when she was still quite young.. That was before she was invited by Ellen de Generes and Oprah...
perroelectrocutado valencia yes, people keep saying she is all different ages in this video. It wasn't 2012 when it happened, I think 2010 or 2011 ( she was 17/18 years)
"All by Myself" is a song by American artist Eric Carmen released in 1975. The verse is based on the second movement (Adagio sostenuto) of Sergei Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Opus 18. Charice was 17 in this video. If you watch her performance just minutes before this song, she sang to love you more. David Foster mentioned how old she was. The Standing Ovation diva and the Pride of the Philippines and all of Asia💕
Great analysis. To really hear Charice, one has to close eyes.. disconnect from the image of a small girl singing. You'll really hear the power and depth of her voice. But then, that's for normal listeners like us. You obviously have way better powers of observation and appreciation. We already miss this version of Charice, it's not coming back. So we now have Mori and others to carry on where she left off
Just subscribed. I love the way you react and gave attention to the details. Hope you can also give your reactions to Charice's performance on "Bodyguard Medley". I just want to know your reactions. Thanks.♥️😍

She's the best phillipines international singer back in a days love her voice she also sang Listen one of the show and she sang beautifully. Thanks for the reaction God bless 💖💖💖
The best rendition of this song, for me Charice is my best singer in the Philippines.
No other Filipino singer could achieve what she has achieved.
Philippines is land of promising, more exciting lovely God gifted singers.
lol who the fuck is this guy ^^

😊 thank you for info
She was 16 at that time, not 19.
Actually, she was 18 in this video!
LOL 19?
Actually, He was 18 that time. That was October 15, 2010. And he was born May 10,1992. So he was 18 at that time not 16 or 19
This is what she gave up for a life of freedom. I feel sorry but jake zyrus is happier now than being Charice. I wish she still sings like this crazy good but not anymore. It's so nice to revisit her great vocals. I'm always looking forward to your analysis.
