Mine has to run DCC Sound locomotives AND DC trains. So what did I do? I decided to use an ANE Model LD101 controller so that all I have to do is press a button on the handset.
I really like the simplicity of the layout. Just one question: How are the L-girders that hold up the Edgeworth-sign attached to the legs ? Do you have a treaded pipe in the leg in which you screw a bolt through the girder?
+Phil Parker I noticed there on the sign that theres lighting installed. I've seen a few layouts at shows that have these fitted and I'm tempted to make on myself. Some of the places where I go to these shows the lighting isn't that good. Are there any articles print/online that would give me some advice on making one of these?
We've republished all the Edgeworth articles in a single book a zine which includes the lighting and I'm going to cover the new layouts setup in a couple of months.

What product did you use on the legs for the bolt to go through and align the legs
Sehr schöne Reportage

Brass self tapping screws. Not sophisticated but they work! Trick is to re-use the holes each time.

I have spent months researching diy railroad layouts and found a fantastic website at Jareks Hobby Club (google it if you're interested)
