I worked on Los Enchiladas. Got my first screen credit on that movie. I still have some newspaper clippings and paperwork from the production tucked away in a book somewhere. All these years later, it's still sad to think what could've been with Hedberg. He was an icon.
I was supposed to see him, I missed him once and when he was to come through again I passed due to financial issues that I could have worked out I'm sure. So never hold back on doing the things you really want to do, especially if that experience involves another human. Life is so fleeting and I regret thinking I could catch him down the road each time....until his road came to an end and I never got to personally enjoy him and thank him for making me laugh.
So true. I'm 60 yrs old, have little money but also have no regrets about the adventures I've had. Very blessed with wonderful memories and fortunately decent health.
Mitch once had a joke about dying on April Fools Day, the day I heard the news on the radio of his passing was on April 1st and while I was sad, it also kinda made me chuckle, I dig this dude and I wish he was still around

Annd, pretty generous to Jerry. Although, the narrator clearly says something like: although he never achieved the same type of success as Seinfeld, he didn't need to. Because he was Mitch Hedberg.
Jerry is a sit com story telling comic. Mitch was a comic genius, being able to make you think and once he says something you think how’d I not notice that. It was like he saw the world in a parallel dimension.
A buddy turned me onto him back in like '01 He told me to listen to his set twice . . I get that. The first time he was just so unique and not the usual rapid fire bits from other very popular comedians at the time. I wasn't really super into him. But I took his advice. The more I heard him the more I liked him. He simply grows on you, and sometimes you even 'get' the jokes a bit more when you hear them again. Cool guy, unique and creative.
His style is very unique and i can understand why people wouldnt be into him. I guess you could say people either love him or hate him... or they think he's OK.
Personally I think he was ahead of his time. Think of comedians like Jim Gaffigan, Tig Nattaro who have a distinct and unique flow, regardless of what you think of them. He would fit in perfectly today. His brand of comedy is so needed😉
I actually managed to see him at a club in N.C. just before he passed. He was amazing, too. I've been kind of not wanting to go & see any other people I love this hard, just in case I'm a jinx.
I have only just discovered Mitch Hedberg literally in the last couple of days and he is AWESOME I love his sense of humor. It's very sad he's gone. He was very unique and despite his stoner persona his mind was razor sharp. RIP Mitch you were cool.

What a stand-up guy, I remember reading the cover blurb of "Entertainment Weekly" (before I'd found out about his passing) calling it "The Death of Comedy's Kurt Cobain" I still think that's totally valid 12 years later... Rest in Peace bro
I remember seeing him live the year before a passed, I was in tears he was so funny I think that was the year he updated his ant 🐜 joke to “if I pull your legs off you’d look like tiny snowmen” I never heard him tell that part before and we rolled laughing when he did

His style was different. But once you come to terms with that, how can you not find him hilarious?! He was a good comic. Clever, obvious, subtle, overt, self-conscious, brave, scared, and genius!!

@@CountZakula PSSSST! Hot tip- Mitch can’t hear you, he’s dead.🤦♂️🤡

That is clever!

He gave us, "Ducks eat free at Subway" and revealed Bigfoot is a blurry monster. I love you, MItch!!
William Smith It’s not the photographer’s fault 😢. I miss him.
he may not have been the "next seinfeld", but he was the only mitch hedberg.
Yea.. Sienfeld's alright... but he ain't no Mitch Hedberg.
@@aylbdrmadison1051 sienfelds stand up was garbage
No comparison since Mitch was funny.
Thank god he didnt become another sell out comedian like Seinfield...
Mitch was sincerely nice. Seinfeld is hateful to anyone who is not from "the press".
I worked on Los Enchiladas. Got my first screen credit on that movie. I still have some newspaper clippings and paperwork from the production tucked away in a book somewhere. All these years later, it's still sad to think what could've been with Hedberg. He was an icon.
What a great memory to have dude!
I Want To SEE LOS ENCHILADAS ! ,,, how do i find it ??? PLEASE !
gypsy rain You can find it on RUclips itself. Goodluck.
i found it :) !
Cool memory but the tragedy is that he never made it to be an icon, he’s more cult icon i think.
Great comment.
So true. I'm 60 yrs old, have little money but also have no regrets about the adventures I've had. Very blessed with wonderful memories and fortunately decent health.
I used to love this guy. I still do but i used to too.
Mitch once had a joke about dying on April Fools Day, the day I heard the news on the radio of his passing was on April 1st and while I was sad, it also kinda made me chuckle, I dig this dude and I wish he was still around
Holy shit that's legendary
Fun, intelligent comedians are not hard to find. What's hard To find is likeable ones. And Mitch was very likeable. His comedy was great and he's til this day one of my all time favs. Forever will be missed.
I used to like Mitch Hedberg. I still do, but I used to.

...too.
i don't understand that joke, please explain it to me.
A rotisserie is just a really morbid Ferris wheel for chicken
Dizzy chicken makes my mouth water.

“Oh no here comes that frog! I better play dead” 😂 I miss his comedy so much. The world is a less pleasant place to be just by him no longer being in it
The good ones are never truly appreciated in their time.
Don't even act like I didn't get that donut. I got the documentation right here.
Love Mitch. Went to 2 shows and his tribute concert after his death with his wife and parents. Dave Attell yelled at me because he thought it was me who was heckling him... Dave, here's the deal... it was the drunk jackass next to me. I love you dude! IT WASNT ME!
I will always love Mitch...just who he was, his jokes, his innocence...How could you not love him. ? I've only seen him here on RUclips, but connected to him beyond his standup....Always missed in my heart....Hope to give him a big hug in the afterlife.....Mitch, there are a lot of people here, living, who love you...Thank you for making us laugh....MIss you...
He could have done so much, he was ahead of his time. Damn I love him.
Comparing Mitch to Seinfeld is an insult to Mitch!!!
I agree...Seinfeld sucks!
Annd, pretty generous to Jerry. Although, the narrator clearly says something like: although he never achieved the same type of success as Seinfeld, he didn't need to. Because he was Mitch Hedberg.
I never really thought of him as a Seinfeld. I always said he was the new Stephen Wright
Mitch Hedberg is funnier than Seinfeld by many orders of magnitude.
I watched Mitch Hedberg for years thought he was great thank you Mitch
i am so sorry he's gone. i only recently discovered this very talented & intellectual person. How i never heard of him boggles my mind. RIP Funny Dude
I can't believe people didn't see how funny Mitch was. He's one of the funniest comedians ever.
Still one of my favorites. A true legend.
it took a few years for his jokes to get me.
His style is very unique and i can understand why people wouldnt be into him. I guess you could say people either love him or hate him... or they think he's OK.
Agree. Underrated.
Personally I think he was ahead of his time. Think of comedians like Jim Gaffigan, Tig Nattaro who have a distinct and unique flow, regardless of what you think of them. He would fit in perfectly today. His brand of comedy is so needed😉
Mitch is forever a legend. Sad I only caught on a good 5 years after his death. Rest easy.
I actually managed to see him at a club in N.C. just before he passed. He was amazing, too.
I've been kind of not wanting to go & see any other people I love this hard, just in case I'm a jinx.
I tried to go to target, but I missed...
"My friend asked me if I wanted a frozen banana, I said no, but I want a regular banana later, so, yeahhh!" R.I.P.

I have only just discovered Mitch Hedberg literally in the last couple of days and he is AWESOME I love his sense of humor. It's very sad he's gone. He was very unique and despite his stoner persona his mind was razor sharp. RIP Mitch you were cool.
I just discovered this man today as I was watching Dimitri Martyn, after a video by Dimitri a recommendation from RUclips brought me to Mitch Hedberg, he was good, too bad and sad he had an addiction. RIP🙏 Mitch Hedberg!
What a stand-up guy, I remember reading the cover blurb of "Entertainment Weekly" (before I'd found out about his passing) calling it "The Death of Comedy's Kurt Cobain"
I still think that's totally valid 12 years later...
Rest in Peace bro
I remember seeing him live the year before a passed, I was in tears he was so funny I think that was the year he updated his ant 🐜 joke to “if I pull your legs off you’d look like tiny snowmen” I never heard him tell that part before and we rolled laughing when he did
I had to take a verbal physical. A bunch of yes or no questions. But they were strangely worded. Like, "Have you ever tried sugar, or PCP?"

I still don't get this one.

Discovering Mitch on RUclips at age 13 literally changed my life. When I found he was no longer with us that entire time I was devastated 💔

I use to think Koala Bears were cute too until my friend from Australia told me how dirty they really are and that they often smell like piss. lol
BodhiZaffa they are also Stoned all day long because of the Eucalyptus leaves they eat, and nearly every one of them have STD’s 👍🏻🇦🇺
Only some have chlamydia, Jase. Not almost every one.
And animal conservationists are working on eradicating the disease from koalas.
But sadly, it's their habitats being eroded by city expansions, that is the main thing killing them.
Smiley Face or nefarious Koala prostitutes? Who knows.
Mitch Hedberg and Bill Hicks both died way to young. Not enough comedians like them.

Very grateful to have seen Mitch perform live before he passed. I'll never forget how funny he was that night. Mitch had his notes all laid out in front of him and he just killed it. RIP to one of the greatest comics to ever live.
I used to fall asleep listening to his albums on repeat. He had such a mellow voice. RIP legend
marleysmellowfan I still do that to this day, hes hilarious.
same here!
His style was different. But once you come to terms with that, how can you not find him hilarious?! He was a good comic. Clever, obvious, subtle, overt, self-conscious, brave, scared, and genius!!

I have I miss him
This is sad he was a tiny part of the planet but will be missed.I like his style so much wish I could have been his friend..I've decided he is my friend I get to decide right

exactly. ahead of his time, i guess.

ROFL!!! I forgot about that one. ty
Cause we all know what D is.
Oh Mitch. You are a legend. Much respect and love. I hope that you are watching how many people are laughing at you now...Amazing...
Mitch had the clear comedic insight of Stephen Wright, the innocent charm of Emo Philips, and the charisma of Jim Morrison. Thanks to him I can never go to a Subway franchise without smiling.
