That's exactly what I said about Shenmue back then but apparently the reviewer also missed this gem since he compared Yakuza to gta meet Streets of Rage instead Shenmue that it's actually a spiritual successor to.
I've also lived in Japan before for about 3-4 years and I can vouch for the game's authenticity. The original reason I bought the game for my PS3 was for the virtual tourism but I keep playing the game for all the depth and versatility it has to offer.
Hopefully they give Yakuza 2 the Kiwami treatment next, it was the best story of the series, Ryuji Goda was the best villain, love to see it brought to the refined combat system, since the PS2 originals still had some kinks to work out.
I think if you gave it a chance you may change your mind. Regardless if you are going to post the same random comment then I do not get what you are trying to achieve?
This is the best game this month followed by gravity rush 2 and then resi 7 for me. Think of it as decently sized hub worlds that make up a multiple block by multi block radius, I believe this game has 2. Within that you can get random encounters, tons and tons of side content and I mean tons, shops and stuff like arcades and batting cages, etc etc. Main storylines on the other hand bring you into instanced locations. This game has a lot of content and the content is good and it's all optional. Get the game. As far as driving is concerned, no, not that I know of. Yakuza 5 had some soft instanced street races and some small mini game revolving being a cab driver but I'm not aware if this one has that. It does have a shit ton of other stuff though, but driving isn't needed in this game, trust me this is the game to get this month.
Was it?What did you enjoy most? The floaty combat? The severly reduced side content? The story that continued Haruka´s character assassination for the sake of a bit more drama?Or was it the utter exclusion of all the characters people came to love over the series livetime? Im serious here,if you actually played 6 I would love to hear what you think that holds up about it because personally I cant really understand why the Yakuza team though that was a satisfactory farewell for the two main protagonists of the series.
yakuza game is old way gaming lot of stuff to do take you like weeks not these fucking new shit game like ff15 ,watchdog 2, the new game way now are you buy today you complete tomorrow or unfinished game like hitman and ff15 wish more game was like yakuza
Man youve really gotta make sure you de-ess your commentary before you upload your videos. Anytime I watch a video on speakers or headphones your t's and s's etc. are ear piercing and gives me a horrible headache lol. It is SO whistley and screechy anytime you say a word with those letters.
anyone sleeping on yakuza series period are missing gems in the making.
TheWiseLion I decided to buy it, today. This series has always intrigued me. However, never enough to buy enough til now.
1Dub79 you have to play all of them, they do not dissapoint.

My favorite game of the series. I'm actually playing it now on PS2 emulator because I don't have a PS2 anymore.
