I bought a FAKE Dimebag Darrell guitar. Here are my first thoughts on it.

- Dimebag Darrell used a similar custom made guitar in a Damageplan music video. For some reason, the latest focus of the fake guitars coming from China has been Dime guitars. They have made fake Washburns, Deans and other models including the Culprit. This is a review on one of thise fakes.
I'm definitely interested in seeing the upgrades take place and update videos man!
Dude I wanna see more of this! For around 300- 400 I wouldn't care if the electronics and trem are trash. If the Guitar is decently assembled has no dead frets and plays fine I gladly change to some duncans proper wiring and slap on a real floyd.
I feel like if you had extra parts to upgrade it as long as it’s aesthetically pleasing what can really be that bad about it
I have a Carlino Dean MLF I sent to Kamn(whom recently passed). He paved over the neck pickup with the real deal cracked mirror. This was in 2010 or so, and it still kicks all sorts of ass.
you got the guitar...body and neck...you scored...
Now you need the Paul Stanley mirrored guitar.
I'd gut every piece of hardware, wire and frets. And cross my fingers the neck is good and adjustable.

Dude that guitar does look badass , please make another video after you upgrade the pickups and let us know how it sounds and please tell us how it feels

Fine with me. Dean has been slacking in quality lately so what theyre making isnt much better unless you buy US made.

Some of these are copies of really hard to find signature pieces and limited edditions. I like to think of them like museum replicas. Nah it ain't Michaelangelo's original David but the pee pee just as smol.
I've got a Dime razzorback and absolutely love it. I got it cheap for the same price you paid for this one. My question is. When you slam the whammy with bombs and squeals - does it stay in tune? Because the original razorback does
I mean its pretty obvious because I see that rose is awful 😖 but what was it like out the box with no setup?
I will find out if it stays in tune in the next video. I never actually tried to set it up before I took it apart because it was pretty bad. Super high action which I was able to adjust pretty nicely.

Definitely wall hanger at best but....still fun. I ordered the Ace Frehley model which is one I always wanted but could never, ever afford. At least I have something to remind me of my youth.

Grover aren't any good anymore either. I had a hundred plus dollar pair of Grover tuning keys on a custom BC Rich warlock bass, within a year of light used one of them snaped like a potato chip. The $20 ones you get on Amazon or actually more durable. Wouldn't be surprised if they're made in the same factory.
Hopefully I dont have any issues as I havent yet. These ones felt fake to me but who cares, the while guitar is a fake lol
Yeah I made the same mistake LOL. Just wait until the plexiglass top separates from the body, it's game over after that. ( Hopefully yours won't do that but they seem to use some kind of really cheap glue in china.
Sooo why not just take it to a tech or luthier to glue it back?

The main differences with mine are that the color is off and it's super super thick other than that for the price it wasn't bad I wish I just ordered a husk and did the in sanding myself or told them to send it to a certain size But at the end of the day they are definitely not offs more so something to just hanging on your wall
I've looked for this guitar and all I see are the ones with the Washburn asymmetrical headstock. Can you tell me where you got this one or provide a link? I can't find one with the Dean matching finish headstock anywhere.
Maybe its just the angle of the pictures?
I bought slime copy and its Modeled after a washburn so it has the diamond value end off center head stock in body these this one looks like it's copythat after a dean with the squared off heel joint in the normal value

Sucky Floyd Rose is what it is definitely needs upgrade. Pick ups are obviously off and doubt they are very good bought fakes before with bad pick ups. You didn't get hurt too badly it looks like but definitely would change the pick ups and the bridge besides that you didn't get burnt that bad i would probably only gave two hundred dollars for it.

Looks cool as fuck. The necks kind of suck though. Too round. Literally all u need is just a new tremelo and pickups and good to go. Sick!!

You said the stock pickups sound like shit. TBF a good guitar player can make the cheapest guitar sound amazing. I'm taking your comments with a grain of salt until I can get my hands on the one I ordered.
While that has some truth, you definitely want hot pickups to get the metal sound. When I say these sound bad, its because everything I have has either Duncans or Bill Lawrence pickups in it.

For the bridge, Gotoh GE1996T. As good as, if not better, than an original Floyd Rose, and much less $$$.

i know of a guy that did i think it was a blackjack he did the cracked mirror dimbag rig project did one a TRIBUTE. washburn FROM WHAT I understand Dime was in pantera when he had washburn do the cracked mirror its the onlky one i know of it was hgis persanel guitar they did not do a prod run due to they werev worried about lawsuits iuf the epoxy came off there was as good chancev to be cut by tghe mirror so Dimes is it
I know he had one while he was in Damageplan, he used it in one of their music videos. Also, the Dimebag Rig Project is good stuff. I have ordered s few things from that guy and every time it has been solid.
The Duncan neck pickup is the alnico 2 pro but the Dean Seymour Duncan pickups are made of parchment that makes them sound better like vintage paf guitars.
Many of these cheaper guitars start to fall apart after some time...the glues and fretboard will have issues, I had the electronics start failing after a couple years on similar stuff. It's like building a really nice "looking" house from a distance, but it's just a Hollywood set and foundation is crap, lol.
To be honest dimebag is one of the greatest guitar players ever.......... But he played Dean and Washburn. Dean's are Garbage, and Washburn used to be good but now they're made in China, the couple newer ones I've seen had some mistakes that shouldn't of made it past quality control. Honestly maybe with the exception of pickups I would expect the workmanship to be a little better on your guitar
Dean definitely has slacked on quality control in recent years. I cant remember if I mention it in this video, but I paid $1350 for a new Slime Stealth and it shows up with finish cracks near the neck joint. I contacted the store I got it from, they said theyd send another. Upon their inspection, all their stealths and slime MLs had cracks. On the Dean pages, there are lots of people dealing with the same thing. I have an actual 1979 patent pending V, and no finish cracks and its 44 years old. The original Deans are great and I see why Dime liked them. You're definitely paying for the name with these newer ones and not the quality sadly.
@@Latushka lol, when I was growing up Dean is what they sold in the Sears catalog, that and Oscar Schmidt, which I believe is owned by Washburn or connected some how.

Man ! With the prices Dean guitars are being blown out at there's no reason to buy a fake.
I paid $125 more than you and got the real thing with a Dean hard case.
I have over a dozen Deans, and Dean doesnt make a mirrored guitar. So why not?

Appearance wise theyre pretty close. The body is noticeably thicker than the other dozen or so MLs/332s I have. It looks the part in all other departments Id say
