- While doing research I came across a medication available in Canada and some other areas that are 0xycodone with Naloxone in it. WHAT? Naloxone is what is in Narcan that reverses an overd0se... why would they possibly mix these 2 meds together.

It's been around for ages. I have been legally legitimate in it low dose since 2017 in Australia. Honestly don't know why America does not have it.

The oxycodone component is an opioid and is responsible for the pain-relieving effects. Naloxone opposes the effects of opioids but is poorly absorbed into the body when given orally, meaning almost all the dose stays within the gastrointestinal tract and reduces the local side effects from the oxycodone, namely constipation as the naloxone binds to the opioid receptors in the gut, preventing the opioid from attaching. This does not affect its analgesic efficacy compared to Oxycontin. Constipation was significantly relieved in a 2008 study
Actually, as someone with Chronic pain, Cystic fibrosis this helps my pain a heap, and prevents my bowel blockages that come with Cystic fibrosis. I'm prescribed it legally with my pain management team and doctors. I've had a double lung and liver transplant from Cystic fibrosis. I'm in Australia... Not everyone on opioids is addicted. I'm really surprised America does not have it with the epidemic you guys have had.
i said that too for years. i was on my meds. but few years later i i got addictied i been on percs for 10 years. my last 3 years i got worst i started taking more. then boom. i got addictied. u can only control it for a bit before it take over. best of luck to u if u can keep it controlled. i need my meds for two back surgeries i had but u do build a torlance after a while no matter who you are
Same here they are awsome as fuc i get high as fuc snorting but i got them for chromic pain so i been on it 4 years i feel better on this then normal oxy i couldnt shit and fell asleap everywhere
@Kobe_Power Still on my same dose and still in control fine. Doctors are happy with me. My story is completely different though to the average person with pain from an accident or something.
I have that same issue, also in Australia lol. I’m on Physeptone (Methadone) for pain and the stigma attached to this medication because of its use with opioid dependence makes me avoid telling other people that I’m on it for legitimate reasons. Even doctors will hear it and immediately assume I’m on a program. I have to explain all the time that no, they don’t give people on the program tablet version of methadone for obvious reasons (let alone 150 tablets at once which is my monthly dose). My pain specialist actually says that Methadone is a fantastic pain killer but a lot of doctors are terrified of it.

god this just brought back a memory from like 10 years ago when i was in active opioid addiction. i didnt have a BM for like a week and a half and when i finally was trying to get sober my god it was painful af and i thought i was going to go out like elvis did. it hurt so fucking bad. i was literally fighting for my life on that toilet.

This combination opioids and Naloxone is commercialized in different combinations since at least the seventies. The reason Naloxone is contained in the pill is to repress abuse. No snorting, no excessive dosage.

It actually does effect the brain. I’ve just switched from oxy 40mg fast release to targin 30/15 and I was up all night? I didn’t go into a REM sleep and I had crazy dreams, and my eyes felt like I was on speed. So big difference.
That would drive me crazier.

This is why cause its reverse the opioid effect and it can prevent an overdose and help against other side effects of the opioid like constipation like in suboxone..

As someone who drinks allot i found a strip of these and mixed with booze they give you some form of affect nothing like oxy on its own
Im not suggesting anyone does it its an extremely stupid thing to do i was just going through a rough spot and took them thinking they were the same as regular oxy
It gave me a Very strange disassociateve feeling similar to lower to medium amounts of ketamine I got very restless and certain points throughout the night quite paranoids
Is it possible to separate oxycodone and naloxone through water extraction ?? Legitimate question and that would go to show whether they are safer or not

Its in Australia now. My Dr just faxed a request for Targin 20 to my pharmacy. It is great, and Druggos are still trying to work out how to abuse it.

I was on Opioids a few years back and the constipation became so bad I ended up with an anal fissure that required surgery and i still suffer from that tear on and off because it weakened my anal wall and comes back once in a while. I cannot push when I need to go I have to let whatever comes out come out, so I don't always have a full BM because any pushing causes damage. I have this for life now according to the doctor. All because of the dam constipation from these drugs! Btw the pain of having this anal issue is beyond words!!!!!
Once the ratio is right it's good to go. Plus it stops constipation. They got it locked bruva. All about the money. Plus it will be easy to extract the naloxone from the oxycodone it will be just a matter of time.
YEa your right that money talks. They will always have a new med or new way to use the old meds to reformulate it and make money.

Getting impacted due to constipation is a horrible experience. I actually had to go to the hospital back when I was at my worst. When they finished with me I probably passed 30 pounds or more of hard hard stools. When I was on Methadone I didn't want a repeat of that ever again so I drank a LOT of bottled water, took fiber pills, took daily stool softeners, and drank prune juice at least once a week...not my favorite btw, lol.
hahahah omg that sounds brutal. I can't imagine how much came out of you at the hospital. I remember making myself get dopesick just to be able to poop and get everything out it was terrible.
It's mainly to prevent crushing. Most of the narcan can't be absorbed by digestion but opiods can be absorbed by digestion so the body will only be affected by opiods through oral route. However if you tried to crush it and snort or inject it the narcan will be fully active and neutralize the opiod.

I don't believe tablets was naloxone in them work the same as normal Oxycodone

during opioid induced episodes you can't pee for hours and its gets unbearable to stand
@@Soberdogs yep totally agree. I have a prolapsed disc and fibromyalgia. On opioids I stand for 10 mins getting drops out. Hurts to stand too long. So I just sit down on my phone and wait for it to come out 😂
