To anyone else who is complaining about Eldad's attitude: THINK before you type. Eldad is not pushy or aggressive. He's just firm with his directives. He needs to be in situations like this. It's very important to have a plan, but one can't really be formed until they get to the scene and see what they're working with (buildings, fences, roads, etc.). So his mind is working a mile a minute trying to figure out the best outcome for everyone. One wrong move could get a rescuer bit or injured, or send a scared dog running into traffic and get it killed. It's easy to judge from the safety of your computer. Sorry, but it really upsets me to hear people complaining about a guy who has devoted his life to helping innocent animals and putting himself on the line every day. Geez. smh.
He and his team are doing such wonderful work. They must feel really good to know they've changed a life for the better. Who wouldn't?

How does a beautiful dog like that end up homeless?
So many people abandon their dogs. There are millions of homeless dogs in the US alone. People do it because they can't afford them anymore, they move, they have a baby and no longer have time for the dog, they won't housetrain them properly so their home is being destroyed (and they blame the dog), or they just don't want them anymore. Most people will take their dog to a shelter in that situation, but some people are heartless.
There are also situations where the dog runs away, either because they're being abused/neglected or weren't kept securely (in either case it's the owner's fault, even if it was an accident, it's 100% preventable) and usually in those cases, the dog isn't microchipped so even if they're found by someone, they can't be returned.

I have two beautiful dogs I got from my local humane society, one was an owner surrender, he's a beautiful St Bernard mix the other was a stray, adopted and returned broken heart Sharp-pei mix. She is so wonderful. I just find it so strange that anyone could abandon their pet.

Great job, as always. German shepherds can be pretty dangerous compared to most of the other dogs you rescue, but you handled it really well. I was afraid the dog was going to run into the road in the beginning. The security guards were extremely helpful. I wonder how tall that one guy was.

I wonder in cases like this, when a dog has a choke chain but no microchip, if Hope For Paws puts out notices in newspapers and social media? But those cost money and obviously Hope For Paws funds are meant to perform rescues. Of course, who knows what the living situation was for the dog. @@fuzionxm4514 What set YOU off? They didn't kidnap him. He's been "living" in that area for awhile, obviously a stray, and needed RESCUED. Had they not stepped in and got him, he probably wouldn't have survived for long.

It's very hard to watch when the dogs are really stressed and scared, how they struggle, the terror in their eyes. I just have to keep remembering that, even though the dog doesn't realize it yet, this is the best day of his whole life! After about an hour, the dog will be happier, safer, and more comfortable than he's ever been, and it will only get better from there! I want to tell them, you silly dog, why are you fighting against winning the lottery? This is Eldad! He might as well be St Peter there to let you into heaven, you lucky dog!

It still amazes me how much easy these dogs manage to calm down, even the most fiersome breeds like Pit Bull & German Shepperd.

German Shepherds and Pit Bulls are not fearsome. They big soft teddy bears. That’s why they calm down quickly and don’t bite. Their reputations are unjust.
@@feiery It takes considerable, continuous abuse to turn pitties or shepherds into "vicious" dogs. A problem one does have to look out for is that they're strong enough that if not properly socialized their play behavior can be dangerous and they can hurt someone (thinking small kids and the like) who isn't prepared for it without meaning to.
