Yes coyotes are always looking for a meal just like every damn animal on earth including you. If you didn’t have a benefit of having a KFC on every corner, and had to scavenge food every day, you would be raiding chicken farms and eating pets as well. Coyotes don’t have the luxury of being fed Kibbles and Bits, like your poodle, so they have to eat what is accessible. They are hungry like any other animal. @leif viking would love to know where you got that statistic because that is not what the government says unless you're in another country other than the USA.
@leif viking not a surprise on the Rottweiler After the Pitbull started being bred improperly, getting bad press & being outlawed, unethical breeders started doing the same with Rottweilers. Mixing Rottweilers with English Pitbull you can hide the Pitbull blood in the Rotts easier than any other breed. This situation however is decimating other breeds that look a bit pittish. Many shelters don't know the difference There's a big difference. . Also when you think pitbulls are the number one low-to-moderate income guard dog of any dog & they were easily obtained by criminal elements who didn't care if their child was laying right there when they were conducting criminal business you have the ingredients for a serious problem. Because of the tension in the home the dog is tense. When you have a dog that's the number one owned dog in the country it's just like why Jack Russells are the number one dog for facial wounds in children because everybody was buying them for their Kid. Same as the chihuahuas were the number one dead dog if you give it to your kid as a pet because they were too Tiny & children didn't know how to play with them & they killed them playing with them. So statistics are always skewed as they don't tell you how many are out there in in the homes if 60% of home have Pitts as guard dogs & they usually own more than 1 so that jumps up the area stats. If more than 80% of the dogs in an area are Pitts then I would expect at least a majority of incidents sho other breed In the 60's & 70's German Shepherds & Dobermans were sold as the number one guard dogs they were oversold and over breed. They became dangerous. Happens all the time. Certain breeds gain a mystiwue especially after what the Germans did to the Shepherds and Dobermans.before they weren't really considered that type of dog. Really German Shepherds were more like your Border Collie but they were the German Border Collie. Also unless DNA was done Pit bulls can be be blamed with attacks when it is not a Pitbull that has done the damage. It's been a misdiagnosis of Bulldog looking enough type breeds, different types of bull looking dogs some people are getting confused. We even had the code enforcement guy think that a neighbor's Labrador was a pitbull and it was a purebred lab with papers going back 40+years. Now we have a friend who's lab is a mix between a coyote and a lab and the weird part is she looks like she's Pitbull but they had her DNA done because they know they were lied to by the the people she's from & she's coyote/lab! They were very lucky. They got to keep her because she was non-aggressive Etc. I live in an area where you must be extremely careful. We walk with defensive weapons & you're not on a leisurely stroll. There is a wide range of dogs kept here between full-blooded wolves to the tiniest of yappy chihuahuas. Dogs dumped & starving around every street, coyotes hunting the dumped & starving cats. Disneyland only 2 hours away, City dwellers come to the mountains to play they bring along their disposable pets to stay. That's kind of our little manttra here. I guess they think they can dump in the National Forest, somehow they'll get fed. don't know what the statistics really ate but it's usually 9 out of 10 will end up dead. I don't think the dumped cared if the survive. There's nothing to eat here. Altitude is too high there's no lizards frogs nothing. The moles the squirrels everything are too smart even for the coyotes. Coyotes live off of the trash the idiots leave in front of their weekend rentals instead of taking it down to the trash locations like they're supposed to. This also helps some of the dumped animals to survive until they are picked up or found dead, of course hunted down and eaten by the coyotes. The coyotes live off of pets accidentally got out left in their yard too late at night on a leash in the dark or abandoned and dumped. We all know if the cat gets out it's gone in 3 days. We have a lot of problems with the what we call down the hill owners who don't care who they rent to just as long as they're getting some money ( usually Undeclared cash income). Many of the houses aren't even up to code because they were built a hundred years ago. The whole valley is a tourist area and receives tourism all year round. Because it is one of the few places you can play in the snow in Southern California and if you can't afford to go to Vegas well maybe go boating on our Lake it's not private like the one down the road. Unfortunately that leads to a lot of people with low income coming up here. The county ships them up here by bus because the city is so full of welfare recipients the state told them they wouldn't give any more people in the city welfare so they ship them up here so they could get the welfare money. Unfortunately there's not enough jobs up here most people who do live up here full-time and want to work, work two or three jobs. Those who don't rely upon the drug trade or illegal sales theft burglary Etc. The low income heartbreakers they guard their homes with animals they should not have. They don't take care of them feed them Etc.. The worst one I ever saw and which I did rescue the cats out of it and the county had to take the dogs I wish I could have but County already been called was a bunch of welfare moms gotten together rented a big house. I guess they quit paying the rent I don't know. One weekend the little black cat that one of the little boys we had befriended & he dearly-loved was standing in the middle of the street crying. my friend and I went up to the house with the cat in tow looked thru a gap in the gate & the fence and were shocked. The house had been emptied. There were belongings out in the yard they didn't take. Children, cars, extra moms gone. Three beautiful Rottweiler dogs were chained to the trees. They'd been sitting there awhile and nobody realized because these mothers had been very vocal about nobody should be in their business. Everybody had ignored them and we didn't know they had abandoned the animals for several days. There was no water, this was summer there was no food. Bags of food had been thrown in front of each dog & the dogs ate their food until there was nothing left. The cats had no food & were eating dog poop, that's how hungry they were. None of this could be seen from the street as the fence was illegally six foot high. After this code enforcement came through & made everyone drop all their front fences to 4ft allowing them (& us neighbors) to see what was happening in the front yard of every property. It has made it a bit safer to walk in the neighborhood as at least you know what's coming up ahead of you and when I can see that then I know which side of the street to go to or what posture or stance I need to take in case there is a dog that's loose where I just turn around and walk back down and never get to that part of the street if I see that someone is not controlling their animal properly. I just always hoped those Rottweilers found a good safe home. I've never trusted them being adopted straight from the pound. They just don't know what a person is like that's adopting out of there. These kinds of dogs are used extensively with the gangs & we have such a high problem with drug manufacture, processing & distribution in the county I live in. As well as gang violence. We know there is a dog fighting training problem in our valleys. It has never been caught because they move the training & venue area consistently around the valley which you can tell when it comes into your part of the valley. For the next month you'll hear all of this barking. Then it'll disappear. Then it'll be across the valley & people will say wow I heard all this barking. You know what it is. It's either training or they're having fights. Since basements are practically impossible in this area it has to be that its properties either specifically built for it or have been converted into the ability to do it and you're certainly not going to put it down where the normal average person lives so it's got to be people with a good deal of money. Now there is a lot of money in drug sales so maybe that's who's doing it but we know too many sports stars, Hollywood, & music gangsta rap wannabes basically just a little too often & are never seen enjoying the outdoors. That it's being done is known, getting the non resident sheriff's to care difficult. We also know not to basically leave our pets especially larger dogs unmonitored in the yard for even five minutes. We know there's a pro-dog stealing ring in the area. They watch your dogs & some dogs have been stolen on the only day they've been left alone in their whole life only for 3 hours while his pal was being buried. Never understand why the wife didn't take dog to the funeral. It helps the pet adjust to the fact their special person isn't coming home. He didn't run away he was in a yard that had 8 foot fencing & a locked gate. He was elderly large dog, would've been used for baiting. Someone cut the lock & took the dog. We had one that was stolen out of the yard of a court appointed rehabber who had adopted the dog. It had gone through the dogfighting court system this wasn't one of the dogs it didn't belong in the fighting system it was a pet of the people who had been doing the dog fighting. They wanted it back. The court said no. Pretty sure instead they kidnapped it out of the woman's yard when she took 5min to answer phone, came back dog was gone. Tethered & a chihuahua no way to get out himself. As far as pitbulls my attitude was changed by the show Pitbulls & Parolees (RUclips Animal Planet). In the end they're just a Dog needing love & care. Our creation our responsibility. But since we approved euthanasia for humans dogs are even easier.
Coyotes get a bad rap. They are afraid of us and just want to be left alone. And want food too just like us. They are survivors and should be respected....and I’m a fan of these guys as well. I’m a monthly giver.
Agreed. The only issue is that they eat the pets in our neighborhood, but that's only because there's some mentally ill guy encouraging them to do this
Coyotes get a bad rap because they'll literally go right up on your porch and snatch your cat or small dog for a snack. They carry rabies and other diseases your dog can contract. Think your dog's too big to be bothered by a coyote? Get a pair, or a small pack of them and they'll do their best to lure your dog away and have the others ambush it while the dog's giving chase to the 'baiter'. Up here in BC they've been targeting small children in the urban areas of the city, a few times now kids have been bitten by them in parks and around playgrounds. I've no use for coyotes in urban areas, they lose their fear of people and that's when the real problems start. Out in the country where they belong? Fine. They can stay there, but in the middle of a city like this one is, particularly obvious by the fact it was watching the dog and likely harassing it before the rescuers showed up, I've got no respect for them.
@@LukaTisus well spoken... Lost 2 cats to the yotes. Urban area, and now it's man vs beast. Man brought them in to manage deer herds. Now, deer herds down and pets are disappearing. Time to manage coyotes.
When it's 100 degrees and you are trying your best not to have a rescue get screwed up, that's what happens. Notice how when he said to her look on your LEFT, there's a coyote...and she looks on the RIGHT! So he's doing his best to help this dog, and he needs help, but good help. Wish you would volunteer and lighten his load! .....yeah... I kindda thought that!

@leif viking You must be a PETA supporter. They love killing dogs.😂
“Who comes to a rescue without a Lucky Leash?” Lol
The dogs should stay together ....they are soul mates now ..💚💚💚💚💚
Coyotes get a bad rap.
@@borntobe4419 I think the best management for coyotes is semidomestication.
Thank you so much foir donating!
lol I honestly was expecting to see a hybrid coyote with a pit bulls head
Breaking Toast SAME!
Right
That breed exists lol do some digging
@@OxyManeNR gonna have to definitely dig for that one lol. Seriously
That pit is nice
It would be wonderful if Brandi and Miller could be adopted together, it was really love at first sight! :)
She is absolutely beautiful and watching her and Miller play together was just adorable.
In 14 yrs of RUclips viewing, I've never been brought to tears (of joy) as often as Hope for Paws videos. God Bless everyone.
Me too......
it makes me so happy to see animals so happy it puts me in happy tears
Those two dogs seem perfect together almost like they knew each other forever!!!! So sweet hope you kept them together!!
To be honest, I feel more for Jackie than the dog.
"No Jackie, don't run! Jackie stay! Jackie close the gate! Jaaaackiiieeee!!!"
He's so bossy its not even funny
😂😂😂😂💩💩💩💩💩
When it's 100 degrees and you are trying your best not to have a rescue get screwed up, that's what happens. Notice how when he said to her look on your LEFT, there's a coyote...and she looks on the RIGHT! So he's doing his best to help this dog, and he needs help, but good help. Wish you would volunteer and lighten his load! .....yeah... I kindda thought that!
When you care and time matters you have to give orders, get things done.
@Annette Königsheim I think he does a good Job
The dogs response to the other dog at the end of the video made me wonder if they were related. It’s highly unusual for such an instant attraction. Another excellent video. Bless you guys.
You clearly no nothing about dogs, this happens all the time with none aggressive dogs.
Can’t get over how beautiful her eyes are.....
No ones talking about how that coyote was just vibing
Dayyton and wtf does vibing mean??
Coyote was just laying there enjoying his day
Till two fruit loops come up hyper, noisy, and excited.
@Keepitreal Ali I thought the exact same thing. She needed no help from vets, from the video, and was immediately fostered. No help to find the original owners?
@@elipsorange We don´t know if they tried to find the owner. I mean there not filming everything i guess.
A week ago a rooster cuddling with a woman, now two dogs literally wrapping their paws around each other... So much love here :)

These people are nothing more than glorified dog catchers. They are a joke.
@@christystafford1890 a) Similar roles from different paradigms can't be directly correlated like that and b) Dog Catchers have a perfectly respectable and important job.
I admire the people who rescue this little Angel's..

Also that smile Brandi had at 8:03 was just precious 😍
“Wanna sit down for a sec?”
Brandi: **plops down like a sack of potatoes** 😂
