This is nice! This makes me wonder what the other elements of the ride would’ve been like for this song (Radio Host and Countdown) if it wasn’t scrapped.
There are actually a few scrapped lines leftover in the files from steven. Two are cut off an indistinguishable. The other is a line of Steven saying “the best is yet to come!” So I wonder if those would’ve been used here
Yeah it’s not technically scrapped, it’s a fail safe track that plays when a major issue occurs with the audio system as to not ruin the experience, a backup of sorts. When did you first ride it? Was it around the ride’s opening in 1999?

@@Theme_parchive well this ride was responsible for my love of music, so it definitely has a place in my heart, and while I'm stuck in the UK this channel can put me back on the ride in a way ha :) And no probs re: LMA - would love to get hold of those files one day. Spent a lot of time at the show and had a good few friends that worked there
@@garry12gg oh yeah! The soundtrack was a backup in case the main one didn’t trigger. It doesn’t do this anymore though so if it doesn’t trigger right all you hear is wind and screams.

I don’t know honestly. As far as I can tell this was scrapped pretty early on. It doesn’t even sync with the ride’s launch very well

I never even thought about that, maybe during the countdown. That sound from the beginning would've been heard when Steven Tyler said "3!"

@@user-qv8mz9sr5t ah so must’ve been late 1999 or early 2000. The countdown was always there it just had trouble triggering for the first few months.

I rode this today and the audio was off sync. The tunnel warp effect played mid ride instead of at the final brake run and I didn't hear this?
