This game got me to watch Starship troopers again and I noticed these flying bugs that would chop soldiers in half. Then they added these to the game. I knew it was such a cool idea that it would get added sooner or later.
getting one shot by falling corpse of the flying bugs is also in starship troopers.
If they swoop you on low health they usually pop your head off too.
Watched it for the first time a week before this game was released. Its crazy how similar they are.
It triggers me so much that Jack constantly running by the Samples
He's such a pro gamer that he's already playing like he's max level.
(If you've maxed your upgrades, picking up samples is a complete waste of time. You can stockpile some for the future, but there is a maximum cap on how many you can hold.)
He also still hasn't learned to reload his guns and use a stim before picking up supplies, so he's wasting a ton of ammo/stims xD

Also trying to kill the spewers with his AR when he he has the autocanon.
The flyers should be able to snatch up Helldivers and drop them from a lethal altitude. It would make them more menacing.
Their dead bodies one shot, even through shields. Always smart to strafe left or right if one is coming at you while you're shooting it. Not much you can do about the ones your teammates kill that land on you though 😂
@@Vooz_WoW I think it would be hilarious if a flyer grabbed me out of nowhere and I watched helplessly as my fellow Helldivers attempt to shoot at the beast only for me to die by their friendly fire :D

Maybe a larger version, but the smaller shriekers are fine as is.
The ending of that was one of the most entertaining things I've seen in a while.. Literally yelled yes from my couch when tomo dived in
I love how cinematic the departure was with the drop ship coming in and killing the BT…
I love the fact that they've had all this planned since the release, keeping it fresh and challenging for everyone. Great management.

Watching Jack waste all his primary weapon ammo on the heavies, seeing his rounds bounce off AND getting a ricochet icon pop up constantly lol

Yea he's using his primary and completely forgetting he literally has an Auto Cannon on his back
Jack, you can reload the autocannon without losing any ammo, it just drops 5 rounds into the mag.
Every time you fire five rounds or more, reload.
@Taolan8472 basically, yeah, that way you don't have to wait for the animation to rechamber a round.

A little tip: If you go prone, the flying bugs can't hit you.
right here, the lords work.
Yeah but their corpses still can and they one-shot you. When you go prone and shoot at the bugs flying towards you, they're perfectly aimed at where you are. Also, every other bug type will gladly take the opportunity to chomp on you while you're on the floor.
@@Freelocybin yeah he just said if you go prone they can't hit you, he didn't say that you'll become invulnerable or that you should shoot them while they are dive bombing you nor that you should stand still when other bugs are eating you alive 😂
the trick is to run in zigzags so you avoid their linear attack patterns

I want to see a gamplay mode in Helldivers where you can play for the enemy faction as a special type of enemy that keeps evolving while unlocking special perks like controlling minions and have similar mechanics to the game but from the other perspective. I think this type of PvP gameplay could work brilliantly in this game with the proper framework.
I agree, I can easily imagine a game mode where you control the special units (charger, bile spewed, etc.) where you can spawn with the ai and fight against hell divers with eventually being to spawn in as a bile Titan, with the equivalent for automatrons. The challenge would be finding how to balance a game mode like that and figuring out how to make it fit in with the rest of the game
Pro tip: You can destroy the Shrieker's nest just by shooting anything explosive, EATs, Autocannons, even the slug shotgun works too. And the same goes for the Spore tree thingy and the Broadcast tower as well
I popped a clip of autocannon rounds into one of them and they just looked like they were pinging off it, then the mech driver rocketed them. Must try again when I've more time/space - might be that dome on top is armoured and you have to hit them from underneath?
I think it’s just about the angle you hit it at so they don’t glance off. I don’t recall aiming specifically for the underside. It does take quite a few shots, more than the spore spewers. I think it was like 5-7 per tree thing.

I laughed. I cried. I swore. Epic vid, lads.
The flying bugs aren't too bad to deal with once you know how to do so. Yes, you can get in close to drop a hellbomb on them, 5x impact grenades each tower, or get close enough to drop a sufficient airstrike, but you don't need to deal with the headache of such. Just stand 130ish+ meters away and shoot 2x rockets at each nest tower (EAT, Mech rocket, recoilless rifle), or 10x autocannon shots at each and you'll kill them outside their spawning range. No nest towers, no flying horrors - easy day. The towers have roughly 2000 HP or so each and some moderate armor to them.
Bro, watching you play gives me anxiety 😅 while you were running from a horde and had Hunters on your back istead of shooting at them with your primary or with your pistol, you kept your autocannon in hand and just tossed a couple of grenades, but then when you were comfortably shooting at Nursing Spewers and Hive Guards from afar, you kept the damn autocannon on your back and proceeded to empty nearly all your ammo reverves on your pistol to do absolutley nothing 😂 WHY?!

At the start of video I saw some flying insects in the background. Came across them three X now. First 2 times didn’t know how to kill their nest. 3rd time Hellbomb the crap outta these annoying little F’ers. I might actually prefer the Stalkers now 😅

If u kill a Shriker while diving you , he will kill you just like in that Starship Trooper scene with the flying bug killin the general .
Also if u wanna kill the Shriker nest u can use: 2 Rockets on each shroom - 8 Autocannon shots on each shroom - 500kg if they are grouped close - eagle strike - or exosuit etc. You can 2 tap a charger with Mech melee if u stun him first ( EMS mortar / orbital )

Gears active reload is a great mechanic that would fit nicely in this game! So satisfying when you got it nailed! Messing it up then getting swarmed in horde mode was so fun! Camping the top stair of that one house in Gears 2. Great times

“That looked like Cloverfield” got that movie had such an impact on us 2000s nerds. I really wish they’d make a proper sequel. My first Bile Titan fight was with one SPEAR picked up from a dead SEAF soldier on the field. I hit it broadside and the rest of my team was ready for it but it was chasing me and I said it felt like fighting Godzilla, but Cloverfield is a way more accurate description.
The laser weapons are very effective against them. Very tough, but not very often see them

Mix of good feelings:
That old single player with lots of missions with an intense coop.
The friendly fire is a mess and actually make you think about decisions. Without it, the game would be no good.
At first, I complained about it, then I realized how good this feature is to the game.
This game is amazing
Some primaries badly need buffs like the DMR my worst purchase I was actually really excited about that thing should be able to punch some holes in some chargers imo or something feel like I’m shooting a water gun when I’m hitting something that’s not a basic mob
I feel that the Arc rifle is the best for dealing with the shriekers
We are gonna need a fuck ton of Bug Spray now 😄

There's a bug for ps5 where your loadout, emote and voice switches to default that's happening to tens of thousands players. This has been going on for 2-3 weeks now and I'm surprised how long it's taking them to fix this issue.....
