@red nomster, use the translations from all of the terminals in Halo 3. When the terminals appear after accessing them, they are originally in this ancient language and then translates to English.
That's crazy that you just so happened to get your degree in pretend archeology. That's why YOU saw this code. It was too much a coincidence 😁 love the videos

It reminds me of secrets and easter eggs in Shadow of the Colossus. The community believed and was so invested in something that wasn't there, so much so to the point where it became true.

@@sizlac21 But how funny would it be if the translation was “The Forerunners and Humans are the same species” and somebody solves it and then 343 has to patch it out of Infinite in a panic because they never knew what it was and didn’t realize it was some old lore shit that they already changed.
I really hope this text has deep meaning and it's not just some random image made by some game developer that is laughing at us right now. Keep it up, i cross my fingers for you! :)
I always thought it looked a little like Mayan. Many ancient Mayan city states appeared to have different symbols for the same thing. Suggesting different languages, but it turns out that ancient Mayan is uniform and different looking symbols was just different 'fonts' each city used. But all Mayan is kinda like simplified Chinese or Japanese, as long as the core pictograph is written, the word always means the same thing. One thing, becareful with brute force methods of decryption. You can get false patterns.
Hey Nomster, just wanted to throw in a couple of suggestions: 1) For the keyword, it might be worthwhile to try words like 'Reclaimer', 'Reclamation' etc. since the Forerunners likely left this for their successors. 'Mantle' might also be worth a shot, if you haven't tried it already. 2) Is the text in the Infinite iterations of the cipher the same as the original ones? If the answer's no, I think trying 'Endless' might be a way in there. 3) I saw the 'repeats' line in AZdecrypt and I immediately thought of frequency analysis, which might not be the best since the body of the actual text is so limited. Though, it might be worth looking into in any case, since even with a small sample size, the frequency of alphabet use should still somewhat reflect that of larger texts, just more roughly. Edit: There is NO WAY that this is just a reusage of assets, nor is it a coincidence. The Sandtrap temple is akin to the Delta Halo ruins: Ancient Forerunner structures (even ancient at the time of construction of the newer neoteric array) being moved for preservation, like a museum world. It bears mentioning that Zeta Halo was part of the original senescent array, before being conscripted into the neoteric array after heavy damage. In short, Zeta Halo is older than all the other Halo rings, with ONI even considering it the most mysterious. It's likely that there's a further connection between the text and the two locations we've seen it. Make no mistake, 343 is following up on what Bungie had intended, and expanding on this old, obscure story. It's highly likely that there exists a document that serves to mark out the road ahead for this storyline handed over to 343 from Bungie.
Great keywords! I've done frequency analysis, but it varies depending on if you use the correlation method or not. There's also like 70 symbols, so it's likely that there are many symbols representing the same letter, which makes it harder to assume. Perhaps there's no coincidence that there were 12 rings, 12 lines of text 🤔 And we could use your lore knowledge in the discord!
I don't think such document exists. I think Bungie originally intended forerunner to be ancient human. I think 343 is taking what Bungie left behind such as this tablet and reforging it for their own purpose and story.
@@foreverdm7000 almost? It's directly stated multiple times lmfao, the only bit of contradictory info we get is in 1/3rd of the terminals; written by the snake Frankie himself.
Given Bungie's obsession with the number 7, have you tried 7, Seven, or any other spelling? Another approach, most likely wrong but worth a shot. In Humans, we commonly use a base-10 system for our numbers because we have 10 fingers. Since Forerunners have 12 fingers, maybe their number system is base 12 as well? Just brainstorming lol Love the series, PLEASE update us with whatever you can!
I love this so much. These kinds of things take me back to something that made Halo so great-the fine, hidden, out of the way details that somehow mean so much
Never thought I'd be so invested in an easter egg before but here I am. keep up the good work man! These are some good quality videos be proud of that!
It’s likely that the original concept of the Banished and Endless started with their ideas of Sandtrap. Sandtrap’s texts likely say something to the effect of “the endless are entombed here for the safety of all within our responsibility. We sacrifice one to save a thousand, this is our sin,” so on and so on. It’s likely the same on Zeta Halo. The reason why they probably used the same text is to let anyone who’s been trying to solve this mystery and actually got close, know that they were damn near close to solving it.
I haven't heard any suggest this or noticed, but a lot of the symbols are identical and similar to the symbols found in the Marathon games that Bungie made before the Halo games. The Marathon games were actually the inspiration and where a lot of the source material for Halo came from. Someone should check into that and see if that helps translate any of it.
I’m completely blown away, this is incredible. I really hope that these symbols end up having an actual meaning or message rather than just being gibberish, but either way, you’re making the first real breakthrough into this stuff and it’s so cool to see the process.
Fantastic video. The Contact reference had me wondering whether placing the symbols in 3 dimensional space as if forming the inner surface of a Halo and then assessing their relation to one another in that format might reveal something.
These last two videos just earned you a sub, brother. Amazing stuff. I really hope 343i never straight up reveals the meaning or origin so videos like this continue to exist
Seeing how there's still some skins (legendary stances to be exact) locked behind "Campaign unlocks", eventhough I found everything in the campaign, I wouldn't be surprised if there's some kind of easter egg you'd have to complete for these to unlock, and this here being the root of said very easter egg.
Halo’s mysteries are one of my favorite things about the series. We’re the same as those in the halo universe searching for answers, trying to understand the forerunners and what they left behind. The only ones who know the answer is the devs aka the forerunners. It’s a neat parallel!
Common phrases and words to appear over and over in forerunner talk -mantle of responsibility, endless, flood, Halo, forerunner - Forrunner with double NN and multiple R
Nice video! As you scrolled in 3:18 and said about fresh eyes I was reading “Desig(n)ed (b)y” in the 2nd line and “Graf(ics)” and “Anima(tion)” in the 3rd. It might be a stretch (the letters in parentheses), but... Are you sure you are not looking at credits here?
I'd argue using words like 'reclaimer' and phrases of the forerunner language. Baring that I would equate it to the forerunner script we get in halo 3 itself, via the terminals. It's IMPLIED to be a 1:1 English Cypher however we don't know if the encoded text is a genuine symbol cypher, I suspect it's like Egyptian script one is the 'hireoyph' style while the others are Hiratic The issue there is if there's enough that lines up with these symbols
It looks like those dots above the symbols are lines in and of themselves. They even appear to be their own line because those dots don't appear in the regular line and are perfectly spaced. You might want to try something using them. I haven't finished the video yet so I haven't seen if you do but I'm sure the dots are a significant reason why this hasn't been solved because they appear random when theyre certainly not.
Lots of thoughts so I'm just gonna kind of list them: 1. I can't help but notice a pattern of 3s and 4s. In sand trap the image you found showed a 4 sided symbol, and the other one you showed now in halo infinite showed two 3 sided symbols connecting. Who is now developing these games? 343 industries. 343i named after 343 guilty spark aka "the monitor" "the oracle" etc. This cypher has to be connected symbolically in some way. 3 lines of cypher being displayed 4 times to create one endless pattern that can be replicated "infinitely". INFINITE 2. 343 is a palindrome, meaning it reads the same forwards as backwards. This "mirroring effect" is also seen in the cypher as you noted. Lines 1-3 make 4-6. 1-6 make 7-12. I also can't help but notice we are now playing "halo 6" the first 3 games were made by bungie the second by 343. This leads me to believe 343 chose its name as a company solely based on the lore it would tell through this cypher that was yet to be explained. 3. The game ends showing the logo Halo Infinite. Before it does this it is shown as Halo with 10 lines below it. The 10 vertical lines then fade into the word INFINITE spelled out in all caps. What does the number 10 mean, what are there 10 of? Does it follow a specific pattern before? The sum of 3 and 4 and 3 is 10. I know this is a lot of rambling and I apologize if nothing here just makes sense. Hopefully something useful was found.
So 343 was definitely intentional. One of the devs spoke about the fact that the script given to 343 Guilty Spark's voice actor had a typo, it said 344. So that dev had to go into the audio and copy the first 3 to replace the 3rd 4, which worked out making him sound more robotic. There was some math element to it, I forgot what specifically. But there was a big necessity to it being 343 since Halo 1.
Couple things to consider. We know what Forerunner writing and characters/numbers looked like due to the first few games. So in essence we can eliminate these markers as being Forerunner as they are both vastly different. Next if we consider the history of Zeta Halo we would also know that it once held the so called "Last Precursor" who controlled it along with Mendicant during the final years of the Forerunner War before both were destroyed. Considering these things along with the "Weapons" statements about a sorrow and warning from the messages trapped within the ancient structures of Zeta we could speculate these are Precursor and it would be a pretty strong hypothesis as no other group had a presence on Zeta to do so.
Might be a bit of stretch but on the map Behemoth near the sentinel spawns at either side of the base there seems to be decayed or faded markings above the sentinel beam spawn also if you stand still in the middle of the map (the subsurface bridge) long enough you can hear growling and whispering which is interesting considering the weapon said that the conduits were sentient when battling the Harbinger and that chief was given an unknown grav lift to a desert environment. And there's similar bridge like structures that lead to behemoth like the silent auditorium. I have a theory that with the transportation of chief by a mysterious entity, the deployment of Offensive Bias, the Forunner knack for burying things in deserts and the similar architecture in this instance are possibly related especially since the map description mentions it rising out of the sands after being buried for millennia
As best as you can tell the developers can see the fan base is interested, and they know people like you are out there putting this much effort in right? I have hope they’ll throw us a bone soon. I’m excited for you and it’s always great to hear from an expert in the field of imaginary archeology.
They took a few pieces of syntax, processed them using curve filters and heavy use of the posterize filter by the looks of it. and as you figured out they just flipped and realigned the same rows to give the ilusion of variation. id be more interested in the corruption at this point than the bits of alphabet
I just finished the previous vid. Fifteen minutes later this popped up. What a time, and I'm still on my toilet. BTW the soundtrack they made for whenever the Endless get mentioned reaaally fits.
15+ minutes on the toilet, it's like looking in a mirror And yes! Sometimes I feel like the song was what motivated me to dig into the mystery and actually think the text might show up, so mysterious
It's really good to see how many people want to Decipher wat the forerunners wrote in those tables. I Guess everyone is Contributing in investigating Zeta Halo. I'm doing my own researchers and investigations myself, searching different and interesting things in the ring, easter eggs and everything. I'm trying to find a way how to get the pose Acts of Genesis, since the internet says nobody got it, I'm working investigating how to get it and after got it I will post a video how to get it.
I like to think that bungie had no intent to do anything with this and it was just a cool design to add. But 343 decided to make lore around this. Idk they’re could clues in Halo 3 that was missed like description of the maps.
Makes me curious about Sandtrap and now the glyphs in Infinite. Did you notice how the ship hologram in Infinite is the same as the one in the Halo 3 map (Epitaph I think)? A different ship from the Keyship/Guardians maybe? Also, what if the "corrupted" glyphs are a result of Forerunners trying to protect the future from say...the Flood? Or maybe, like the Halo 3 Legendary Terminals, those corrupted spots are like the extra the Mendicant Bias/Didact pages?
Maybe 3d print out the text and make a Halo ring with each line? Also maybe some are buildings we're you find more clues? Rotate text to vertical at 5:13 and look like buildings? Dam I'm invested now
When I was really into cryptology, one thing I would do is use mathematical equations to scramble the code before using methods like mirroring and alternative characters. Even if someone had the Cypher, the equation prevented them from understanding what the code really said. That being said, anytime I look at this text, I get the feeling that there is something more to it than just scrambled wording. There's something we are missing. My first thoughts are on any numeric symbology from Halo. Be it how many rings there are or 343s name. Who knows. Only time will tell.
absolute shot in the dark here but given how well transforming the text worked, and how other forerunner text in things the past have been circular symbols and circularly arranged Eld text, I wonder if printing it out and looking at it as a ring/loop would provide any insight? All the other forerunner text I can remember is circular or in like the hexagon grids like from the halo 4 era waypoint stuff, It sticks out to me that this is a square line like strip format
I've printed the text out before trying to form a cube like in the movie contact. I've also tried the scytale method to no avail, which deals with cylindrical encoding. But good suggestions, I didn't think about lore being a possible reason to try a certain method 🤔
You can take the frequency of some symbols and if its English you can determine a statistically significant likelihood of certain vowels being certain characters. Also the lack of doubles next to each other might imply that ymbols are not individual letters but entire syllables or like Kanji. The complex symbols might by just hyroglyphics to supplement the text. They look like weapons or vehicles kinda so it could be lore text with hieroglyphics of weapons and vehicles interspersed.
Considering how this started with Bungie I hope I can help or at least point in the right direction. I’d look to Bungie’s older games, namely Pathways into Darkness as this just reminded me of that game.
I’m with you behind this one man being a kid that grew up on halo since he was ten I’m very intrigued by this mystery and I’m looking forward to you putting your degree to hood use and solving this ancient text muster for us all, as a kin playing the sand storm map I never thought nothing of the ancient text but I am completely mind blown here now, thank you for the great videos
Here's a thought. And it would just probably make you go more insane. What if it was meant to be decoded using in game methods... Forge. You could change settings to make the map itself change colors, and then angles would then allow people to make in game photos which they would then share on halo 3's file uploads... perhaps fiddling with all of the options, made the text appear.
Also, the strange artifacts (corruptions) of the text (the weird shapes) kind of look like what happens when you look at the binary of a zipped/encoded file in a text editor in a different encoding than what was used to encode the file. My suggestion is that instead of thinking about this as a substitution cipher, you might want to consider that this may be binary/win-1252/zip/lz2 compressed data. In which case you'd want to convert the letters to their binary counterpart codepoints before attempting to decipher/unzip the message. Just to give you a whole new rabbit hole.
with this new context i think the text is some kind of forerunner Rosetta stone meant to convey a message important to their culture in a way that future space faring species may someday understand possibly some kind of apology for the extinction of all life since in the forerunner culture life in all forms was considered sacred
@@RedNomster that's just the best outcome it could also be some sort of like legal document that basically states that the forerunners are the rightful holders of the mantle and as such are judge jury and executioner for all in the galaxy because ya know they were jerks like that
I am so happy they managed to bring back the mystery of Halo. I hope to see the precursors, Sentinal variants and AI's like offensive Bias. Would be cool to see an ancient human released from a cylixto guide humanity on reclaiming the forruner technology and unlocking the secrets or stories that were lost in time. Seeing how they utilised this text goes to show how they know the true Lore.
Unless I'm mistaken, or they are adding something new, by lore humans were already de evolved by the forerunners by the time humans would have been placed in cylixes, so opening a human cylix would release a being closer to a cro magnon man as opposed to a pre forerunner war human...
@@CommentedHere0 well, 343 will bend the story to make it whatever they want, but... seeing as how the librarian is married to the didact, and the didact (specifically the Ur Didact) was in charge of the forerunner forces during the battle of Charum Hakkor, specifically talked about how later lamented destroying humanity because of how well they fought... And since the Iso Didact (who had the full memory set of the Ur Didact )didnt exactly share the somewhat nihilistic nature of the Ur Didact, and likewise shared lament for that destruction, one would assume that the librarian would have shared if she had still evolved humans locked away somewhere in a cylix or a cryptum...
It's like we know many Spartans died on the ring but we ourselves are Spartans in our own way, some recon Spartans, some investigators, some just killers its like we are not in the ring physically well... Obviously because we're not there but I mean our Spartans but we are helping John to know the secrets of Zeta Halo. Just imagine that one day you enter in a dark cave and you hear the moaning of the flood and suddenly a spore jumps to you.
in halo infinite cortana reads part of the ancient text when you find a blue disk under a structure and says she will mark it for further investigation, but you proberly knew this already
Seems like the actual literal mantle given to them by the precursors. Try Sumerian. The blocky choppiness reminds me of it, and it is literally the Ur language that really good fiction grabs hold of for its most important moment, like the songs Duel of Fates and that Matrix III ending.
You are uncovering these mysteries AND my nostalgia, and in 15 years you're the best one doing so. Subscribed. I need to follow you in this rabbit hole
Liked, subscribed, and belled! Also gonna join the Discord. lol. I remember this being a thing such a long time ago and you seem amazingly close to cracking the code!
1. Did you try music/notes like the jumping thru the rings ? 2. Did you try comparing to the competition deciphering stuff that got you into the irl halo event?
I feel like the lines at 9:43-9:45 are more interesting than what you drew our attention to later. But I have no idea about Halo lore and could be noticing unimportant things.
“It must be done, we have no choice” Sounds like someone at a counsel speaking then the text deciphered looks like at some parts says “as they go leading in the universe. Showing its ants to what comes” idk just looking at the evidence that was presented and putting 2 and 2 together
If you stand around the room and don't initiate the next part of the mission there's a whole dialogue that takes place in the court. The Forerunner audio logs and the Legendary ending fill in all the blanks, I don't think this is related.
The letters are a red herring. Focus on the numbers. And you're probably going to need an ONI decrypter set to B2. Anyway, it reads "Remember to drink your Ovaltine."
Good idea? Though I'm not sure they had the idea of using the word endless desert 14 years ago when the text was made... And if it is there, it could be referring to sandtrap itself, which the description calls "An *endless* desert" :D
@@RedNomster wait, the forerunners are known to bury things in deserts, the endless are thought to be buried in a desert on zeta halo where cheif shows up at the end, and Sandbox's description states: "This endless wasteland still holds many secrets. Some of them are held more deeply than others." ... what if this isn't a forerunner language but actually the endless's language...
This is definitely your baby, and you should feel proud of how much of a connection you've made with your amazing observation skills. Cant wait to see what else you dig up. Also, Im not sure if this can give any help to you, but the deciphering system you had on your computer mentioned rings, and like it was trying to say universe at one point as well as storing and preserves. I think this is definitely talking about imprisoning the Endless on the halo rings and Bungie had this, to include their name, planned all along. Hence the description of sandtrap and the text being there. Crazy that it's been right in our face since Halo 3
That means a lot, thank you :) and I know! Just so many possibilities still. The problem with the text being less broken English than before is that so many possibilities look good but so do others haha
The lore and effort taken by studios to implement things like this are a great nod to the diehard fans of a series who want to leave no stone unturned.
This may be crazy but, when the halo 3 community realized the order of rings needed to jump through to unlock the skull IWHBYD... was not random, but on a musical scale, it was the last Notes to the halo song. This made me think, can the Hieroglyphs, be in any way translated to musical notes? Harmonics?
It has to be that symmetrical thing you showed. Horizontal mirroring and the first 3 lines have got to be the key. I would put money on the fact that the solution is a visual decipher. There has to be some way to place or align the images. Maybe try stacking images on top of each other.
Part of wants to say that bungie just contained this to halo, however I know a lot of older game developers used old ideas from back in the day for newer games, like system shock and Bio shock, and I feel like bungie did the same with halo and quite possibly marathon. as some things aren't as well flesh out but similar concepts exist between the two. Maybe double check with older games to see if a version of the text was in anything else. And not to mention the rocket launcher in marathon was also called the spnkr. So there could be hints.
Commenting for algorithm visibility, but also you're nuts and I love it. Keep it up (not that you needed any extra encouragement after all this time haha)
Hey there! Im currently watching the series and you're doing amazing work. The halo universe is such a rich, mystery filled one, and you're proving that. I noticed something though, that maybe you're already aware of, but the little tiny dots and lines that surround the actual letters and symbols look VERY similar to Morse Code. Maybe thats old news and youve looked into it and it means nothing, but if not, it may be looking into!
I've personally looked into Morse, braille, dot matrix, and a few others related to Halo that proved fruitless 🥺 thanks Solo, glad you're enjoying the ride!
@@RedNomster aw thats a shame. Id imagine maybe the dots around the symbols can provide a clue to the individual nots meaning. Either way, this mystery is extremely intruiging and youre doing amazing work!
Keep in mind a few things about who originally made this text. Bungie. Things like how they are obsessed with 7 and also things we know from Destiny. Remember how that one raid had the puzzle that required knowing binary? I can see a puzzle like this requiring knowing some sort of coding or at least coding rules. Who here can write a batch file? What else is bungie known for or what other puzzles have they made that we can look to for clues. Some say Destiny occurs in the same universe as Halo. What can we look to there for clues?
With the hiring of Mr Staten I'm pretty sure that he 'KNOWS' about these symbols/Language and is keeping quiet because he handed over the Mantle of Responsibility for Master Chiefs journey to 343i
Another word to look out for that I haven't seen anyone else mention: the name of the Endless' species, Xalanyn. And it looks like you are getting actual words like ring and universe from that decoding program, can't you figure out the glyphs that make up those words and work backwards to decipher everything?
I can, and that's the process! Unfortunately, the program by default will never find the word Xalanyn because so many other words create better English. And forcing the word Xalanyn assumes that any other instance where the letters that make "Xalanyn" appear are correct. Ideally, we can input words, and if the remaining text has something resembling English, it might be right. But the process of using multiple keywords creates a problem where some may be right and some wrong, and knowing which is which is very difficult to determine
@@RedNomster Makes sense. I'm certainly no expert, just throwing ideas out there. I do think that this is definitely more than just a random texture, so keep up the good work my friend

Just brainstorming lol
Love the series, PLEASE update us with whatever you can!
I love this so much. These kinds of things take me back to something that made Halo so great-the fine, hidden, out of the way details that somehow mean so much
Like the bungie employee in his underwear dancing in Halo 3 😂
@@JeskyKO this entire 3 part series that you're currently watching is about Halo Infinite reintroducing and adding to a secret halo mystery... 😂
Never thought I'd be so invested in an easter egg before but here I am. keep up the good work man! These are some good quality videos be proud of that!
🥺 that means a lot, thank you! Working hard on the next one!
This is why I love theory's of lore in video games.
I’m completely blown away, this is incredible. I really hope that these symbols end up having an actual meaning or message rather than just being gibberish, but either way, you’re making the first real breakthrough into this stuff and it’s so cool to see the process.
Awesome to hear 😁 I'm hoping these fresh eyes offer more insight though, already have good ideas appearing in my discord
Fantastic video. The Contact reference had me wondering whether placing the symbols in 3 dimensional space as if forming the inner surface of a Halo and then assessing their relation to one another in that format might reveal something.
Literally watched part 1 an hour ago, went to your profile, and saw this. Beautiful work
Thank you 😁 glad you enjoyed!
These last two videos just earned you a sub, brother. Amazing stuff. I really hope 343i never straight up reveals the meaning or origin so videos like this continue to exist
Awesome to hear 😎 and I have to agree!
Seeing how there's still some skins (legendary stances to be exact) locked behind "Campaign unlocks", eventhough I found everything in the campaign, I wouldn't be surprised if there's some kind of easter egg you'd have to complete for these to unlock, and this here being the root of said very easter egg.
its gonna translate, "We've been trying to get in contact with you about your spaceships extended warranty"
I haven't finished the video yet so I haven't seen if you do but I'm sure the dots are a significant reason why this hasn't been solved because they appear random when theyre certainly not.
i instantly begin to think of Morse Code?... Curious
On the Silent Auditorium, in the room where the monitor apologizes, on the back of those statues is one vertical line of code that matches.
I'll have to take a look during my next play-through!
Lots of thoughts so I'm just gonna kind of list them:
1. INFINITE
2. 343 is a palindrome, meaning it reads the same forwards as backwards.
@@IhsaanS 343 is 7x7x7
Didn't know about the map description, might have to look into multiplayer maps more now 🤔
Never thought the ravings of a madman would be so entertaining
As best as you can tell the developers can see the fan base is interested, and they know people like you are out there putting this much effort in right? I have hope they’ll throw us a bone soon. I’m excited for you and it’s always great to hear from an expert in the field of imaginary archeology.
😅 thanks Walter. I need the campaign dlc ASAP
They took a few pieces of syntax, processed them using curve filters and heavy use of the posterize filter by the looks of it. and as you figured out they just flipped and realigned the same rows to give the ilusion of variation. id be more interested in the corruption at this point than the bits of alphabet
343: "OMG WE FORGOT TO ADD MEANING TO THIS"
HALO INFINITE SUMMER EDITION: ALIEN EASTER EGG MEANING 9.99$
I just finished the previous vid. Fifteen minutes later this popped up. What a time, and I'm still on my toilet. BTW the soundtrack they made for whenever the Endless get mentioned reaaally fits.
15+ minutes on the toilet, it's like looking in a mirror
And yes! Sometimes I feel like the song was what motivated me to dig into the mystery and actually think the text might show up, so mysterious
@@RedNomster diarrhea really puts marks on the diary
Those are clear coordenates to something that's yet to come, maybe in the new dlc
Fascinating stuff, stuff like this is what makes our community so awesome.
This was like the Christmas gift that wasn't under the tree but turns up the next day with your favourite uncle
Im talking about the original halo 3, not 343's master chief collection
But its in the campaign
Funny the fact that I was literally watching the last video and when I came across this continuation of this research
The first text you showed in the conservatory has a guardian symbol. I noticed every tablet has a symbol on top
If you look at line 9, you can clearly read "Design" in the glyphs....
Keep up the good work king, just watching this makes my head spin trying to work it out even as you're explaining it
I figured there'd be a lot of rewinding involved with this video 😅 thanks for the motivation!
the fact that ring and arby popped up in the software makes me think that youre getting there

@@RedNomster absolute hero
This is the beating heart of what Halo is. Thanks friend.
Glad you enjoyed 🥲
Keep fighting. The deepest lores create the deepest intrigue, part of why halo is still alive.
with this new context i think the text is some kind of forerunner Rosetta stone meant to convey a message important to their culture in a way that future space faring species may someday understand possibly some kind of apology for the extinction of all life since in the forerunner culture life in all forms was considered sacred
That'd be a beautiful outcome in my opinion 👌
@@chong3632 Unless the librarian have a secret of this...

Great to hear
Bro is one of the coolest things I've ever seen
in halo infinite cortana reads part of the ancient text when you find a blue disk under a structure and says she will mark it for further investigation, but you proberly knew this already
Seems like the actual literal mantle given to them by the precursors.
Try Sumerian. The blocky choppiness reminds me of it, and it is literally the Ur language that really good fiction grabs hold of for its most important moment, like the songs Duel of Fates and that Matrix III ending.
I'm watching matrix 3 tonight 😎
You are uncovering these mysteries AND my nostalgia, and in 15 years you're the best one doing so.
Subscribed. I need to follow you in this rabbit hole
Welcome to the voyage brother :)
If this actually turns out to be something that'd be great. Specially if they tie it into the story in some cool way.
Liked, subscribed, and belled! Also gonna join the Discord. lol.
I remember this being a thing such a long time ago and you seem amazingly close to cracking the code!
Sheesh you're making me blush 😁 plenty to read in the discord already, lots of awesome theories being discussed all night
The whispers in the end feel like the words from grand edict in legendary ending.
I believe he's one of the voices, there are 2-3 other voices depending on which side of the pyramid you go to :)
The hidden file for guardian battle from halo appears in Infinite holy shit....
In the previous video when you first saw the text it was a symbol about that that look like the symbol for guardian
1. Did you try music/notes like the jumping thru the rings ? 2. Did you try comparing to the competition deciphering stuff that got you into the irl halo event?
I feel like the lines at 9:43-9:45 are more interesting than what you drew our attention to later. But I have no idea about Halo lore and could be noticing unimportant things.
it's 2am and i'm watching all of your halo mystery videos for the 5th time
Good man 😤
New video dropping today!
The fact that you have unearthed so much from so little shows there is more to learn
I sure hope so, otherwise this dev went through lots of work to fake this cipher xD
“It must be done, we have no choice”
Sounds like someone at a counsel speaking then the text deciphered looks like at some parts says “as they go leading in the universe.
It would be interesting to see if any of the patterns match the word ENDLESS
Just wait until u find out u have solved halos greatest mystery. Good work
The Endless might be from Joseph Staten's involvement, sprinkling old Halo lore into 343 canon.
It could be a type of Rosetta Stone put the matching symbols together on a spreadsheet separately from each other
The lore and effort taken by studios to implement things like this are a great nod to the diehard fans of a series who want to leave no stone unturned.
Great job on these 2 videos so far. Really popping off !
Love the effort your putting into this mystery, you will probably the one to decipher the text
In one of the audio logs the AI is interpreting some runes and it reads “enemy within”
Can these be related?
This may be crazy but, when the halo 3 community realized the order of rings needed to jump through to unlock the skull IWHBYD... was not random, but on a musical scale, it was the last Notes to the halo song.
This made me think, can the Hieroglyphs, be in any way translated to musical notes? Harmonics?
Wish I knew music! A couple people in the discord are looking at musical theories though
Based off of what you showed there at the end the text talks about the rings and preserving. My guess is the text is about the life shaper
It has to be that symmetrical thing you showed. Horizontal mirroring and the first 3 lines have got to be the key. I would put money on the fact that the solution is a visual decipher. There has to be some way to place or align the images. Maybe try stacking images on top of each other.
This is that part two I was looking forward to! Amazing content again my man!
Part 3 is out 😁
@@RedNomster Trust me, I saw it 👍🏼 absolutely love this
Part of wants to say that bungie just contained this to halo, however I know a lot of older game developers used old ideas from back in the day for newer games, like system shock and Bio shock, and I feel like bungie did the same with halo and quite possibly marathon. as some things aren't as well flesh out but similar concepts exist between the two.
You're a real one 😎
And thanks so much! Working hard on part 3
With the hiring of Mr Staten I'm pretty sure that he 'KNOWS' about these symbols/Language and is keeping quiet because he handed over the Mantle of Responsibility for Master Chiefs journey to 343i
I'm so invested in this now, can't wait for the next video!
Good to hear rector 😁 glad to know others feel the same!
Keywords you can try:
Forerunner

Endless
Flood
Ring
Silent Auditorium
Precursor

this dude deserves a minimum of 100k atleast in 2022
Another word to look out for that I haven't seen anyone else mention: the name of the Endless' species, Xalanyn.
I do think that this is definitely more than just a random texture, so keep up the good work my friend
while i love this series and want to see you continue this as it’s very interesting but you have such good analytical skills that i’d love to see you try at other game mysteries as well
That's awesome to hear, thank you! I quite enjoy making these, so I'll probably do that if people keep enjoying too
I have some interesting info that could be of use.. go to the Halo 5 all cutscenes w/ legendary ending video & skip to 43:00, pay attention to what Roland says & the symbols that pop up... looks similar to some in the texts to me...
