I really enjoyed seeing your studio, how you organized everything, your notebook collection (I have thosetoo!!), your raised plants (which I have as well, from seeds even) and of course your beautiful voice. A great place to move to is ARIZONA! MuralJoe lives in Flagstaff! My wife and I live in Tucson (I'm just beginning) and I'm sure there are lots of other people, who are artists, and places and the weather is great!

Hey Lena! First off, I spy the Mercy pic on your wall! Second, I would love to see a video from you about how you go about doing prints! I see you have a Canon Printer. I currently have a Canon PIXMA, but I don't know all that much about making prints from home or the best papers for fine art prints. It'd be interesting to see what you think!

I have two of those Ikea carts, in that colour. I think every artist I subscribe to on RUclips has at least one of that cart and, for some reason, in that colour!

For me the most interesting is the light you use during the painting. I have free time in the nights and it's hard to mix colors without godd lamps. What kind of light do you prefer ( I meen the power and color, number of light points etc...)
I am very interested in how you manage to paint and dry paintings in the same room as you sleep. Do Gamblin products not produce that horrible harmful smell that some oil colors and especially all mediums that I know do? I absolutely love your space by the way, a very bright and minimalistic room :) I hope you do a tour on the new one once you're ready :)
Where did you get your easel? I'm currently just using a cheap table-top one, but I want to invest in a full sized one soon. Do you have any recommendations?

have you ever thought of putting some of your desighns on a tshirt, it would be another way to market your art having people walking around with it. Your a great artist.

I have definitely thought about it, my only concern is ethics, I wouldn't want the shirts to come from a 3rd world country where human beings are exploited which is where tooooo much of clothing comes from, and I don't have the time to make them myself, so I'll be looking into other options for that! :]
+Lena Danya try desighn by humans thats where i get my t shirts, they give good royalties and i think the shirts are ethically made. B ut just to be sure check on there website, they talk about. I would love to support you wearing your desighn. Its tough to follow your dreams and prosper espically when you want to do things ethically and right. The way the world works right now, the ones who make the big bucks are the ones that support the materialism that has no substance.

could you do a video explaining in depth which liquid you use for cleaning brushes and which one you use during painting? i'm always a bit confused when i see all the bottles
I wouldn't use liquin for cleaning brushes, it's meant to be as a medium and I instead use galkyd in place of it nowadays. The only things I use for cleaning brushes are gamsol (solvent/paint thinner) and safflower oil, I have a video about brush cleaning here: ruclips.net/video/TBxT5yGBAzA/видео.html :]
I'm also making a video explaining how to layer an oil painting which will be out soon, so that'll have some examples of how to use galkyd
You should repot that African violet :). It's nice and big . #giveplantsachance . You should pinch back the basil so it will grow more :)
How do you make your prints? Also how do you not get paint on the carpet? When I paint some always ends on the floor.
I already have the ikea cart and it'd he same color! Its meant to be a drink tray thing buy I put it in my bathroom to hold makeup and meds and stuufzzz

the yellow can be fixed if you change the bulb
What do you use your gesso for? I like using it for texture on canvas.

do u have any kind of ventilation? be careful those thinners and mediums are toxic. I only use linseed oil even for cleaning my brushes.

any idea what camera lena uses to film?
Hey Lena I would like to know how much would it be for you to do my nephews portrait and I would like to know how much do charge.
do you really need all of those oils to clean and varnisch etc? because i've been painting with acrylics and i recently bought oil paint and i don't really know what you need to paint with oil.
Don't worry about varnish yet. You'll need a solvent/odorless mineral spirit. Mona Lisa OMS, w&n sansodor and gamsol are all good options. You'll also need a medium, I recommend an alkyd medium like galkyd or liquin because they're fast drying and easy to use. If you want to lengthen drying time you could get linseed or stand oil, and mix with solvent to make your medium. Honestly for starting out I would just get an alkyd and a solvent. You can mix those or use the alkyd on its own, and the solvent in the first layer. Solvent also is for cleaning your brush in between colors, and removing paint before using a brush cleaner which you will also need (I recommend the masters brush cleaner). Go ahead and watch lenas recent video on layering for help with mediums. All in all get yourself a solvent, an alkyd medium, and a brush cleaner to start out with.
