Funny enough this was what I was readying to type before scrolling down lol. I mean if I recall correctly Rambly does make a joke about getting plastic surgery or something for why he may not remember Ed but puberty may be all that happened (especially if our unseen protagonist is now sporting facial hair).
A theory I developed lately: The Importance of the Critter Cuff and Taking Everything Into Account. UniqueGeese said the game has lore, so we have to take everything we're given into account, right? Everything we're shown, everything we're told, and context. For instance, what's with the Critter Cuff beeping and getting Lloyd off our back? I think Rambley saved us, since Ed didn't do anything in the moment, and it didn't just happen on it's own. So that got me thinking: "What in the chapter explains this?". First off: the Rambley AI sees through the cameras, and probably can't just see through the screens. It felt important at the beginning, when he "gets a good look at you": the monitor's camera turns on, also all the cameras follow you despite there being no one left and they're usually near a screen. Second: Critter Cuff functions. Rambley said that it works as a pedometer, heart monitor, and mood ring. Now, it would make sense if this data goes to Rambley, given that he controls almost everything else. So, think about it like this; the cuff is probably tracked. It would make sense for a theme park to track guests while they're in the park, and if it's tracked then that explains how Rambley knows where you are, even when there's no cams(Namely the hallway full of TVs before the train ride). SO(finally), you go into the backstage where Lloyd is, Rambley knows what's back there, and that it's dangerous, and warns you to be careful because your cuff can't resuscitate you(yet, possible life system later on?). Rambley can't see backstage because no cams, but he'd know you were stopped at the exit and the main character's heart rate was probably through the roof, so it's safe for him to assume you were being attacked and play the beeping through the cuff to disorient Lloyd, like a dog whistle. See what I mean? Even something as odd as that was just explained with a few lines of dialogue and some context... in a multi paragraph long theory, sorry about the length, this was as short as I could make it. Thanks for reading all the way through!
I had nearly the same thought. The second possibility is that it was triggered when Lloyd disrupted the scanning process. Making the cuff go into a failsafe mode.
This was my exact theory, that Rambley was monitoring the Critter Cuff since he couldn’t see us through the backstage cameras. Glad to see I’m not the only one who thought that.
@@johnfrostman9389 That's totally a possibility, though an oddly specific failsafe. It felt like a purposefully implemented feature in case Lloyd were to try and attack a guest. We know the mascots were mistreated here and there, so it's likely they were aggressive before. Though I think it makes more sense that something or someone would still have to activate it.
@@AlphaPizzadog That's interesting... I never saw any cameras backstage during my playthrough. I don't really think this disproves my theory though. It still makes a lot of sense for critter cuff info to go to Rambley, and since there are cameras backstage, that would make it more likely that Rambley activated the beeping, since he was watching. Don't know why he apparently lied about there not being any cams backstage. Maybe he thought it would be better if he wasn't expected to intervene? He is an AI, so his thought process is much different than a human, and there's probably some context where lying there makes the most sense.
The photo of Lloyd handing Rambley the deed actually reminds me of something Disney related. In Disney World, the “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” ride used to be one called “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride.” In Wild Ride’s last stretch of running, there was a painting hidden within the ride of Mr. Toad handing the ride’s deed off to the Owl. Not only that, but Lloyd is depicted as on the same side Mr Toad stood in the painting, and Rambley the owl respectively. It’s such a fun homage! Or, at least, what I’d assume it to be.
Yes! I learned about this too when doing my research on Disney and Indigo Park! UniqueGeese hid so many cool details that pay homage to Disney, I'd love to learn about them all!
I agree that Rambley doesn't seem to be a villain. Personally I think it's too early to label anyone as a villain or hero since we only have chapter one to work with BUT I do think that the creatures we see are mutated animals that got tired of being mistreated. I also am terrified of the underwater horror so I'll probably be watching the eventual playthrough of the next chapter in broad daylight to feel better 😅
@MoFace The story is designed to give you an existential crisis by questioning what exactly is it that makes us human and when does it stop? Choices to make you question your own humanity will also come up, so you will leave the game in a state of self reflection and deep thought over the true definition of "human". Also you can disable the monsters attacking you, but you can't escape the depths of the oceans...😈
I’ve had the theory that maybe Salem is the “bad guy” in the cartoon universe of these characters, but she isn’t actually the villain, but instead the underdog hero of the story. It could be that Salem has been trying to stop the mistreatment of the other animals and is gone somewhere. I don’t know if we can consider the animatic version of Rambley’s Review to be canon or not, but if we can, it should be noted that when Rambley talks about his friends being reunited again, Salem still shows up, with a question mark. But after the railroad ride, Rambley says “now you know all about my friends! And Lloyd”. So if Salem and Rambley *are* friends, why did the ride break when he got to her stop? Maybe Salem is gone somewhere, maybe Rambley even thinks she’s dead and has no programming to even deal with grief like that, or.. maybe his script to her area was removed/tampered with so that it’s corrupted in an attempt to make him forget about her. She was never very marketable by the looks of things, they only sold keychains of her but nothing more towards the end of the park’s life. In my eyes, she seems like a swiper the fox type from Dora. Her bio makes her out to be a prankster, but nothing evil. It would be easy to shift the blame on her, because when something stinks, everyone looks at the skunk. It’s like Rambley said at the very end of the chapter.. you never know what lies beneath the surface.
My theory (shared it elsewhere already) is that the blood on animals isn't from mishandling nor from recent kill... ...It's from chimera process coming undone since these living mascots likely require "maintenance" in form of some bio-patches to prevent rejection between donor organs and original body. Resulting in bleeding on side (new skin) or in throat (seems like Mollie was vomiting blood rather than having eaten something)
I was assuming that at least part of it was that they'd recently killed not a person, but small animals, they have to be eating something, and the park would likely be out of food by now, so unless someone's feeding them they've probably been scavenging and/or hunting in the overgrown park.
@@catmask1123 MoFace says that someone seems to be watching the mascots. If they're being watched over, it's possible that they're also being fed. The watcher could be someone who cared for the mascots and isn't willing to kill them, but knows they can't be allowed to get out, so as a compromise keeps them contained. As to what this person would be feeding them, one option manifests in my mind that I might not need to explain.
@@MoFaceahhh. This reminds me of what was it.... some story that had something similar, using a process called vivisection to forcibly give animals humanlike traits, and the ability to speak, but only as long as their base instincts were suppressed or something
So UniqueGeese actually has made character about sheets for the five mascots, and in Lloyds' it tells how he left the park to Rambley so that he could pursue his acting career, and how he has started to become more stuck up and annoying, which is why they don't get along as well as they used to.
Ooo do you know which platform I could find the character sheet on?! I found the introduction one that censors his location and some concept drawings by the 2d artist, but I haven't seen this one yet!
@@MoFaceif you go to his page he has a video that is called Meet the cast, there he gives a bit more information on the characters, their personalities, and a bit of other trivia. The deed thing was a comment from him on one of his lives, but I don’t remember which.
I was really excited when you mentioned that the Mollie we saw might not be part of who Rambley considers his actual friends, because the thought that there are multiple versions of one mascot has been living rent free in my head and I haven't heard literally anyone else consider it XD
23:29 he explains after mollies death that he didn’t know how much despair the park has fallen into because he was confined to the entrance for so long
From his dialogue he does seem to know that something is wrong with the mascots though, so I think he might have been present or aware of whatever incident closed down the park and it potentially involving the mascots in some way.
the thing is the Critter Cuff only did the sound when the main character uses it on the door, so i think it was more of an accident type thing cause when Loyd tries to attack us before the boxes fall on him, the critter cuff does nothing, so my guess is that its wile its in use and when Loyd pulled our arm the cuff glitched and the sound kept going bothering him, that would explain why it didnt do anything with Molly as the glitch didnt happen wile we were chased by Molly
If it's caused in part by our arm being pulled it could even be some form of alert. It is a heart monitor, if Ed's heart is beating fast because he's scared, then the cuff is jostled, producing an erratic reading, the cuff may give off an auto alert, misinterpreting the data as a heart problem or other form of medical emergency.
The only real issue with the theory of Issac Indigo having a brother who took over is that the Indigo Park characters are 100 years old, if the railroad ride is to be believed. Unless this brother took steps to make himself immortal or is cryogenically frozen, he probably isn’t around anymore.
I personally wouldn't take Finley saying that to Rambley too seriously, especially with their dialogue being based on the cartoons that likely predated the park itself
I mean this is the park that's all about "the exciting potential of Tomorrow-- where dreams come true." But seriously, you make a great point! It could be a grandson, another random successor, and I know some people have even speculated that Ed himself is the successor, which I doubt but would be surprised if that's true.
There is a character we don't see any mascot for, or art, or any real mention beyond one, one that is in the park and in the ad Rambley shows, the Lemonade stand is named after that character. I also think she's unimportant but it is interesting. What is important, if you're standing in the plaza with the Rambley fountain, look back towards Rambley Railroad and the other collapsed end of the entry tunnel, there in the darkness to the left, between the entrance and the "Mane Stage" is a dark building, a building that looks like (from lack of distinctiveness) appears to be a administrative office building. Going by symmetry, a similar/similar sized building (perhaps a Hotel) that's completely collapsed would then be the source of the concrete debris, if it was actually bigger, or it literally exploded, that would explain how the debris could be spread so far from where the building presumably was, and we'll probably see more debris in Finley's area from this building if my spacial recognition of where Finley's attraction is relative to the Entrance.
Love the attention to those details within the game and hopefully we'll get to check the possible hotel out in the next chapter! I'm curious to see if the park looks any different now that they've secured funding to really invest a lot more time and resources into it.
I'm just hoping that there's no reveal of deliberate malice and evil experiments at the park. In seemingly every other mascot horror - FNAF, Garten Of Banban, Poppy Playtime - the problems all start because of murders, immoral experiments, evil magic, and general human evil. I think it would be a nice change of pace if in Indigo Park that wasn't the case. No murder or hidden experiments, just someone trying to make a great theme park only for something to go wrong. No malice, just an accident.
Personally I think there is intentiolnal malice, but not unethical experiments The company(or Isaac himself) didnt want to pay his staff, so he made living mascots he wouldnt need to pay, and the employees reasonably got mad and abused them
@@_StarlightRose_ I guess that would be a slight difference. I'm just tired of the trend I mentioned in my first comment: bright, happy, family friendly place is mask for/cursed by/site of EvilTM.
@@bentarbbronze6048 nah I get it there Im just saying this feels like a typical corporate greed scenario, not them experimenting on children Seems something happened with Finley and another guest to cause the park to shut down, but if he drowned someone, it's not his fault they ignored the rule not to touch the glass That's like, the literal only rule with aquariums
I think Rambley as an ai was installed after the last time Ed had visited the park tbh. I also think Lloyd is Rambley's Oswald. You'll notice Lloyd's face is painted where Rambley's is currently in the coronation video. I think Rambley is confused by Lloyd's popularity because he doesn't know he's not the park's original mascot.
I like to think that Rambley made sure the Critter Cuff went off when it did because "Ugh. Lloyd." 😅 Thanks for pointing out Molly's dialogue, I had a similar thought regarding her hearing it from Ed on a previous visit. Though the phrase is generic enough that it's likely something Molly heard all the time.
You hit on quite a few theories I’ve been thinking about like there being a physical mascot Rambly and mascots not being limited to just one. I do love your idea on their being other helper AI based on the other characters. And you do bring up a good question about whether there are other parks other than this one.
Excellent theories! So far, it's got me feeling like if Rambley's not a villain, maybe he might still have some ulterior motive? But he makes it so easy to trust him that I'm still torn on the matter!
EEEEEEEE, I've been stoked to see your video on this game. It's honestly really refreshing to see a theory video that doesn't paint Rambley as a villain-to-be. Amazing video as usual! I can't wait for chapter 2 to come out and get our questions answered!
Thank you so much and thanks again for your comment in the community tab! I placed it at 25:22 when talking about the Critter Cuff not working on Mollie in case you missed it! :D
I have a theory that the reason Molly said he hurt Loid(if we take that as a true fact) is the fact that rambley was starting to get replaced and pushed into the shadow, hence why he doesn’t like loid because he was becoming the official mascot, making rambley feel like he is getting replaced.
other way around loid is in background of the original owner vid loid also only one with retro plush meaning he's probs the oldest and ramblys railroad was likely well loids limos before the rebrand so i feel something happened if they wanted to move away from loid as the main face
@@babypower14 I mean that would make sense but why would rambley start hating loid when the picture shows they were actually friends? Maybe when loid was put as a background character after awhile indigo park staff were trying to put rambley as the background character again and due to this rambley felt like they wanted to just out right get rid of him for loid.
@@cyndaquil1433 there pictures and the character clearly have personality the artist are showing one story the character have another we probs will discover down the road
@@cyndaquil1433 If you wanna get technical: the picture is just the public explanation of the Rebrand. What really happened was more than likely just everything being rebranded, having Lloyd's Limos replaced with Rambley's Railroad, changing the gold statues and all that. More like a hostile takeover, since given Mollie's voice lines, the owners wouldn't have cared about how Lloyd would feel having his park basically stolen in a hostile takeover. Of course, Rambley would've had about as much choice as Lloyd in the matter but regardless, the arrogance stays, Lloyd even proclaims: "I'm the REAL star!" as Rambley skips past his section of the Railroad, clinging to the past and still acting the star of the show. I feel like their beef is just Rambley being tired of hearing him boast about something that's not even true anymore. Or maybe one owes the other 5 bucks, who knows?
Something to note about the theory that Lloyd was the original mascot is that it doesn't make sense because Mason also stated that Rambley was the star of the Indigo cartoons, also titled Rambley and Pals, which are seemingly predating the park itself, and that he says "when the park was actually opened, Rambley was a virtual assistant"(some people say hes just saying open, but I hear past tense) I do agree that the park's downfall and living mascots were caused by, if not Isaac himself then a successor not wanting to pay the staff members(typical corporate greed situation)
Mollie is definitely the biggest indicator we've got for story right now. Firstly, she has a lot of those chase and kill lines, and while nearly every line on the ride is on her list (including that being the source of 'It barely hurts at all' despite how ominous it otherwise sounds), that just serves to make the others stand out. But while some are clearly from workers or guests, one that interests me the most is a line I find listed nowhere, and not in the compilation videos, that she occasionally says during her chase - 'You remember me, right?'. I can't tell if this is her breaking her repetition role, or if it is just another thing she's heard that could've been from anyone, perhaps Rambley at one point trying to get through to her or some other trespasser visiting the park for a similar reason as Ed who tried to talk to her. And, as well, there is the obvious parallel with Rambley's Rush - going along the main route, you encounter Mollie who is turned evil and are forced to defeat her, but a second Mollie is hidden away elsewhere. I assume this means there are either multiple mascot bodies with some way of backing up their personality, or that there are just multiple outright, though I doubt that itself would be done. Either way it hints that Mollie may well not be dead. The statue/animatronic's lines in the railroad are also interesting depending on how you take them. It could refer to someone else causing the critter cuff to play that sound for you, perhaps whoever's watching through the cameras, or it could be something different. 'Not Rambley doing this' seems to be the way to go. Notably, regarding Rambley's ignoring of the other mascots, the official animation for the ending song does show some of that. He seems to brush it off as fine regarding what seems to be a depiction of Ed warning him of Mollie watching him on the railroad and Ed recounting his experience with Lloyd, but when it comes to Mollie's death sequence, Rambley has entirely blocked it out and replaced the events. It's likely that, even if Mollie is recoverable, he didn't want to see that happen to her - or perhaps it's automatic censorship for the park, or something similar to that. Difficult to say.
I'm pretty sure UniqueGeese stated in a livestream that the stuff we see happen in the animated version of the ending song isn't canon and is just a silly little headcanon version of the story RecD made up.
22:20 maybe finely could get wrapped up in seaweed or some other underwater foliage as well? Since chapter 2 way surpassed it's goal it wouldn't be surprising to potentially see another AI model although animation(including designing, storyboarding, and vfx) is expensive so maybe not who knows.
Ooo yeah I could definitely see that happening! I'd love to see more characters incorporated into the world of Indigo Park! I'd like to see a visit from Laura, checking in on Ed maybe and worried when he hasn't contacted her after awhile. So many possibilities!
I didn't mention that in this video but plan to do so in the next one. It has been mentioned a few times in the comments here, and I do agree since I doubt a theme park AI would need age progression capabilities for facial recognition. Part of what I like to do is just think through crazier scenarios for fun, so I might not always talk about the most obvious answer to things 💜
Really enjoyed this! Some of the fun, more free speculation really brought me back to the early days of fnaf. It was also very well put together, not every theorist can balance in game details and clues with meta knowledge and irl anecdotes this well. Left the video with a bigger appreciation of the Indigo Park lore, and I thank you for that.
Thank you so much! I think it’s easy to get carried away with all the fun things I want to talk about with everyone so I definitely cut this one short. But I’m considering a follow up video since there’s so many theories and ideas out there about the park! 💜
2:55: The picture of molly macaws head is missing, possibly foreshadowing her head being crushed by the door when she chases you (Hopefully I'm not accidentally copying someone else)
Two things I feel that fit together to create a theory is the Mollie talking statue and the Rambly costume. Since someone wouldn't program the Mollie statue with those lines I feel that, much like Mollie the character, it is only repeating back a line said in front of it. Which leads to the Rambly costume we know wasn't inventoried; I believe kid(s) had seen an employee in the Rambly costume hurt Lloyd in some way so when they see the costume again that is their first reaction and they just happened to be next to the Mollie statue. Especially with it being phrased as "Not Rambly! He hurt Lloyd, he hurt Lloyd!" It just seems like something a child would say. Though this doesn't solve the whole story I do feel it forms a piece of the larger puzzle that I don't see anyone picking up on.
I agree with this theory! I'm so glad there was someone in this theory who proved that Rambley was not a villain! I would be so sad if that happened, we don't know the details of what happened between Rambley and Lloyd yet, but to give you a little more personal guess, maybe it's true that the complete reason why rambley hates Lloyd isn't just because of jealousy, the picture seems to point to something more special and big between the two. Above all, in the introduction of the Lloyd character, he was introduced as having such an arrogant attitude that even a monarch can't beat. I think there must have been a reason why Lloyd, who loves the spotlight, gave rambley a purely mascot position, and he would have continued to be treated well at Edo Park after retiring from his mascot position. Also, we can tell from her story in the chase scene with molly that the staff were abusing mascot characters who became monsters. I don't know exactly if this is true, but if they were really abused, I think they would have treated Lloyd as differently as any mascot, and I think rambley would have seen or found out about this. So I think this could be the reason why rambly finds other friends when he talks about Lloyd's Retro doll. And most people think that as animatronics mollie says, rambley is the one who hurt Lloyd and rambley can be stained with evil, but we can be warned not to believe her in Molly's death scene. Maybe this is what we shouldn't believe. Whatever it is, they're definitely falling out😅 Thank you for the good video!
Something else to note is that according to Lloyd's bio, Mollie and Finley also have a problem with Lloyd(not sure about Salem), since it says "he is friends with Rambley _and the gang_ , but he's really starting to push it."
My theory for why the critter cuff went off is that, as it doubles as a heart monitor, perhaps when a guests heart rate gets to unsafe levels a high pitched alert goes off to get the attention of staff members to help the guest. Could also be a broken radio transmitter or similar, which would have done the same thing but via communicating with another device instead of just blaring an alarm. Just my thought
Definitely a possibility that makes a lot of sense! It could malfunction when we face Mollie since the tech is older and probably hasn’t had any software updates in years.
On the "Indigo Park Left To" note, you can see the "Main Points" below it, alongside a list of questions. I think it was just a script for Ed's newest video. But! This is still a good theory!
20:06 Has anyone mentioned this actual dialogue line?? It's said so weirdly that it feels intentional, but I still don't understand why the people talking sound so... weirdly robotic. Old Sport.
It's a reference to FNAF fan game (Dayshift at Freddy's, I think?). The game uses AI voice generators and that's just how the character speaks in the game. Mason specifically even asked the real voice actor who was speaking this line to SOUND like one of those bad AI voice generators. In short: it's aaaaall for the bit, lol. Though, it does seem like it is also presenting realivant lore.
A small idea I have for the Critter Cuff detracting Lloyd and not Molly is perhaps because Lloyd was much more prone to violent tendencies or outbursts. So the high pitched noise played to make him go away was probably implemented for Lloyd specifically due to his behavior. My evidence mostly relies on basically the whole encounter with him. When we first get there, he runs away, likely because we disturbed his sleep, a vulnerable position for an animal to be in (assuming they are anyway). He lurks around a bit, tries attacking the player once and the crates fall on him. Then attacks the player again by, most likely, sneaking up on them before the Critter Cuff deters him. I say that because before the second attempt, he was still lurking around, so he possibly was sneaking around the exit to hopefully success in unaliving the player. Meanwhile with Molly, she watches the player for almost the entirety of the game, sneaking around and hiding once she knows she’s being watched in return. Only at the end chase does she try to attack the player, but it was after a conceptually long period of time, more than enough to get on her nerves until she reached her breaking point. Not necessarily a great theory, more so just food for thought. ^^
Something I found interesting, the AI mascots and physical ones. We may two or more versions of the same character as you pointed out, I say or more because the existence of the Molly animatronic, which is likely not meant to say what is says, indicating that it either is connected to AI! Molly, or has it's own AI, making it a third Molly. And how would they not be separate if the physical mascots are flesh? They don't seem to me like they have any mechanical parts, so I don't think there would be a way to connect them to AIs, so I think it's safe to say that if there are AIs of characters that also have flesh mascots they are separate. Showing that there is at least AI! Lloyd, I doubt Lloyd is intended to call the shortened version of his name an insult and "common folk name" during Rambley's ride, so it doesn't seem like premade lines, combined with the fact that Lloyd and Rambley's relationship even can deteriorate to arguing when it doesn't seem like he's really interacts with the physical mascots, it seems the other mascots do have AI versions, which are likely separate from the physical ones, so while the creator has said Rambley won't turn evil, not only could we get an antagonist Rambley in the form of Mascot! Rambley, but... I think we may have already seen the AI versions of everyone except Salem in Rambley's Railroad. Of course, that would bring up the problem of why Rambley and the others aren't ignoring the script completely so they can greet each other, maybe the others are running at some form of limited capacity like you suggested? I'm probably reaching way past what can actually be gathered from the game at this point, but the only way I can explain them acting like they do in Rambley's railroad is that the ride has some form of fallback for one or more of the AIs being offline, if for example an offline AI's section just plays whatever they said when the ride last ran, Rambley would know his friends aren't actually there to talk to, so he wouldn't try, but he'd still go through the script to try entertaining Ed.
There's a theory on TvTropes's WMG page for _Indigo Park_ that Rambley is a brain-uploaded Isaac Indigo. It cites (among other things) that Rambley likes trains; building on the parallels to Walt Disney, Disney was a train buff himself. Perhaps Rambley doesn't even know what he is?
That would be so cool if that's the case! It would also parallel the whole Walt and the cryo freeze idea; preserving the creator in a different way to achieve immortality. Ah I love it!
I don't think Salem is the villain. So far, Mollie and Lloyd act exactly opposite their personalities, so it seems reasonable Salem does too, especially if Finley isn't "annoyingly shy" or sad. I think when we find Salem, she might be scared and desperate for a friend.
The Mollie animatronics says "IT hurts, Lloyd." Even UniqueGeese has confirmed this. I don't understand how people continue to get this wrong. The line is FROM Mollie TO Lloyd and implies that she is complaining to Lloyd about being in pain. Salem is clearly an AI, not another living mascot. Salem is also clearly the villain. Sometimes the obvious answer IS the correct answer. We generally refuse to accept this due to it NOT being true in most cases. But rather than assuming that, because the obvious answer being correct is the exception to the rule, it cannot be true, let's allow our conclusion to be tempered by the evidence. In this case, it is so obvious that the evidence is leading to Salem being the true villain behind this whole thing. Lloyd is a flashy, arrogant, pigheaded showboating butthead. THAT's why Rambley doesn't like him. I suspect none of the mascots like Lloyd. Salem is clearly the one who is controlling the cameras as the backstage cameras follow you despite Rambley stating he can't see you back there. Rambley was also locked out front the entire time the park was abandoned yet he is able to follow you around the park once you get inside. Salem has obviously been keeping Rambley at bay so that they could do whatever it is they did to the mascots that shut down the park. They "released" Mollie from her friendly personality in the arcade game as they had a clear hatred for happiness and joy. The Rambley costume was NOT retired. It was, in fact, never used as shown by the commentary from the two employees that was filed away in Rambley's database. The animals are what precipitated the retirement of the mascot costumes so no, there was never a time when the animals were around alongside the costumes. If you pay attention to the two employees dialogue, you would understand this. The Finley animatronic is not tangled in wire. That is rebar from the ceiling. It is so obvious that the ceiling has simply collapsed around the animatronic and the rebar got somehow wrapped around it. Do you honestly not understand just how long 8 years is? There is no reason to think they would have bothered to keep a guest's facial data on file for more than a season or two. If a guest doe not visit the park for many years, the data about them is more than likely to be purged from the database so as to prevent running out of storage space in the server. If the park was inspired by Disney parks then there are likely to be thousands of visitors to the park each year. Thus, the database would fill up rather quickly. Since computer storage can be expensive, the park operators would not be likely to expand it unnecessarily. That means any guest who has not visited in some maximum period of time would be purged from the database. Thus, Rambley would no longer remember Ed from when he was a child. Not to mention the fact that people tend to change facially after so many years. The fact that Rambley controls the doors is hardly something we have to figure out as it is obvious he has that level of control over the park. What possible reason could they have for making AI versions of the mascots? Rambley calling them mascots does not say anything about whether or not they are Rambley's "true friends". He is just going using shorthand for them when speaking on something he is clearly resistant to talking about. That tiny-ass generator ain't making a noticeable difference in the power level in the park. Additionally, the generator was clearly an afterthought addition added much more recently. The fact that it is only connected to the front gate shows that it has no bearing on the power level throughout the rest of the park. Further, the only reason Rambley has been stuck at the front gate (as I stated earlier) is most likely due the actions of Salem. They are likely the one who hurt Lloyd. That is likely what the Mollie animatronic is referring to. Further, the person who put in the generator to power the front gate is probably the one who corrupted Salem. The Rambley and friends show preceded the park so it is very likely that Salem was the villain there and when it came time to mess with the park, the human villain chose to make Salem the scapegoat for the damage to the park.
Thank you for sharing your perspective. It's clear we have different interpretations here. Diversity in viewpoints is what makes game theorizing interesting, but let's respect each other's insights without dismissing them as 'obvious'. After all, exploring different angles is how we uncover the deeper layers of games like this. The Salem AI is a theory I've seen on Reddit before and is a very plausible and fun idea, and I look forward to seeing if there are more clues to confirm this and other theories in Chapter 2.
Well, I actually have a theory on why Rambley hates Lloyd. My theory is pretty simple (and was mentioned in another RUclips comments section). My theory is that Lloyd actively helped closed down Ocean's Odyssey, via drugging Finnley into attacking someone, with a lot of potions under Salem's directions. Looking at Salem's design and Finnley's size at the end - I seriously doubt all the potion containers on Salem's belt alone COULD drug Finnley enough to create any reaction since they'd literally get watered down. However, if Salem made literally crates or tubs full of potion, all they'd have to do is get someone bigger then them to put it all in Finnley's tank. I think that Salem simply wouldn't be strong enough to move them themselves. Lloyd would be the character that's literally the only one left that's likely strong enough to do that and be able to escape the tank. Lloyd is literally a lion and would have the required muscles. Some IRL big cats can actually swim, so logically we can presume Lloyd could do a big-cat version of a doggy paddle minimum. Molly doesn't have hands or paws, so she can't transport transport large amounts of potion. Rambley is a raccoon, so he's likely too small in any form to be able to do that. This could be either because Salem used Lloyd's ego against him to transport the crates of potion, and/or this could be due to Lloyd's giant ego making him more likely to attempt sabotage to get more attention away from other characters Regardless of why that happened, we know the Rambley AI would know Lloyd did it - this would likely make this version of Rambley detest Lloyd and feel betrayed. This might even be why Rambley could have chosen to hurt whichever Lloyd did it. The only Rambley wouldn't give the information to the cops is that the security system might prevent this via coding.
Also keep in mind it's been8 years and while yes its possible the mascots attacked eachother, its possible the blood is of their own, from the mutation itself or whoever is watching over the mascots (possibly still abusing them) In the beginning of the game, its noted that indigo park has zero results online. I think whoever this could be actually worked a found a way to do this themselves Hrm loose ideas rn I have a lot more
what if lloyd was going to become the new mascot, but rambley didnt take to kindly to that? this is based on nothing and very unlikely, given the artwork of passing off the deed.
O boy another fnaf clone rip of. I guess bendy and poppy’s play time was not enough profitable rip of money. Still looks interesting even with it no being an original concept anymore.
Technically, mascot horror has been around a lot longer than FNAF, though it is primarily responsible for the surge in the subgenre. But I think games like these continue to exist because they continue to have an audience for them; fans of mascot horror like to see those subtle and bigger changes, and I think Indigo Park does a bit of both. I try to remember that there is no such thing as a true "original" idea since all ideas are influenced by inspiration. I'm curious to see what twists Chapter 2 and beyond might hold :)
One reason the Rambly doesn’t recognize Ed could simply be because Ed was a kid when he came to the park so he just looks a lot different now
Funny enough this was what I was readying to type before scrolling down lol. I mean if I recall correctly Rambly does make a joke about getting plastic surgery or something for why he may not remember Ed but puberty may be all that happened (especially if our unseen protagonist is now sporting facial hair).
Ye
It's definitely a possibility!
Another possibility is that because of his software not regularly being updated, the guest list's data was corrupted and he lost most of the files
or since he basically does urban exploring he might have an face injury
Making the cuff go into a failsafe mode.
there ARE actually cameras backstage though...
Yessss! Underwater horror freaks me out so much! I'll be playing with company! lol

@@RosesTeaAndASD 😮 I’m curious but also terrified now
@MoFace The story is designed to give you an existential crisis by questioning what exactly is it that makes us human and when does it stop?
Choices to make you question your own humanity will also come up, so you will leave the game in a state of self reflection and deep thought over the true definition of "human".
Also you can disable the monsters attacking you, but you can't escape the depths of the oceans...😈
@@RosesTeaAndASD Oh my god that sounds terrifying! 💜
I LOVE this theory! Such an interesting way of interpreting what we saw, and I could definitely see it!

@@azuma4945 yess! With as much as UniqueGeese knows about Disney parks and as large as they are, it just makes sense to have multiple mascots. 💜
@@MoFace I don’t think so
the thing is the Critter Cuff only did the sound when the main character uses it on the door, so i think it was more of an accident type thing cause when Loyd tries to attack us before the boxes fall on him, the critter cuff does nothing, so my guess is that its wile its in use and when Loyd pulled our arm the cuff glitched and the sound kept going bothering him, that would explain why it didnt do anything with Molly as the glitch didnt happen wile we were chased by Molly
Ooo that's a cool theory!
So far it looks like animal abuse from employees, there doesn't seem to be any human experiments
Personally I think there is intentiolnal malice, but not unethical experiments
The company(or Isaac himself) didnt want to pay his staff, so he made living mascots he wouldnt need to pay, and the employees reasonably got mad and abused them
@@_StarlightRose_ I guess that would be a slight difference. I'm just tired of the trend I mentioned in my first comment: bright, happy, family friendly place is mask for/cursed by/site of EvilTM.

That's like, the literal only rule with aquariums
I think Rambley as an ai was installed after the last time Ed had visited the park tbh. I also think Lloyd is Rambley's Oswald. You'll notice Lloyd's face is painted where Rambley's is currently in the coronation video. I think Rambley is confused by Lloyd's popularity because he doesn't know he's not the park's original mascot.
Okay well I am mad I haven't discovered your channel sooner. I could listen to these videos all day.

I like to think that Rambley made sure the Critter Cuff went off when it did because "Ugh. Lloyd." 😅
Thanks for pointing out Molly's dialogue, I had a similar thought regarding her hearing it from Ed on a previous visit.
He's the true star of the show, no matter what Lloyd says! 😂
EEEEEEEE, I've been stoked to see your video on this game. It's honestly really refreshing to see a theory video that doesn't paint Rambley as a villain-to-be. Amazing video as usual! I can't wait for chapter 2 to come out and get our questions answered!

@@CasperOveranalyzesi hope so! The developer said it could take about a year for chapter 2 to release, and I hope we’ll learn more then!
@@alexcole9325 if rambley owes Lloyd 5 bucks that would be a funny form of pettiness
Something to note about the theory that Lloyd was the original mascot is that it doesn't make sense because Mason also stated that Rambley was the star of the Indigo cartoons, also titled Rambley and Pals, which are seemingly predating the park itself, and that he says "when the park was actually opened, Rambley was a virtual assistant"(some people say hes just saying open, but I hear past tense)
I do agree that the park's downfall and living mascots were caused by, if not Isaac himself then a successor not wanting to pay the staff members(typical corporate greed situation)
I have a curious thought about this but I don't want to give it away just yet :) It's another one of those more outlandish ideas of mine lol

It seems like everyone forgets that people look different with age everytime they mention rambley not recognizing him
I didn't mention that in this video but plan to do so in the next one. It has been mentioned a few times in the comments here, and I do agree since I doubt a theme park AI would need age progression capabilities for facial recognition. Part of what I like to do is just think through crazier scenarios for fun, so I might not always talk about the most obvious answer to things 💜

2:55: The picture of molly macaws head is missing, possibly foreshadowing her head being crushed by the door when she chases you
(Hopefully I'm not accidentally copying someone else)
You're right about that! :) UniqueGeese confirmed it during his livestream reaction to Game Theory playing the game :)
@@MoFace Ah, I forgot to watch the livestream :)
That is a wonderful theory, and I agree it wouldn't make much sense for someone to program the animatronic to say that. 💜
The two definitely have a complex and interesting relationship!

It could malfunction when we face Mollie since the tech is older and probably hasn’t had any software updates in years.

i might be wrong but im pretty sure salem goes by they/them, actually.

I think the mini game with Molly was foreshadowing that she was the one who caused the shut down, and the the others followed suit
@@Shark-B1t3 i could see that :). It would be so amazing if chapter 2 released earlier than expected so we could learn more!
Also keep in mind it's been8 years and while yes its possible the mascots attacked eachother, its possible the blood is of their own, from the mutation itself or whoever is watching over the mascots (possibly still abusing them)
In the beginning of the game, its noted that indigo park has zero results online. I think whoever this could be actually worked a found a way to do this themselves
Hrm loose ideas rn I have a lot more
It doesnt hurt at all was from the railroad :)
what if lloyd was going to become the new mascot, but rambley didnt take to kindly to that? this is based on nothing and very unlikely, given the artwork of passing off the deed.
The way you word things makes rambly sound evil
Does it?
Such a sultry voice. Gawd Damn!
@@MoFace I can’t argue against this point. Touché well done.
@@MoFace you just gotta convince theft king it isnt a rip off
