This is just my theory, but the password Prospero could also be a reference to Edgar Allan Poe's "The Masque of the Red Death". In that story, Prospero is a prince who isolates himself and his friends in his mansion as a plague known as The Red Death rages outside their door. At first they're content to party and distract themselves from the horrors outside, but inevitably they cannot escape the death creeping ever closer. In Phil's case, it could be his mind subconsciously linking his predicament to that of Prospero. A rich guy stuck inside due to the fear of the death lurking outside his door deluding himself. Filling his day with various distractions to fool himself into thinking he's safe. It also gives the red tint shown during the hallucinations a new meaning. A sign of his own personal "Red Death" seeping into his place of sanctuary.

The fact that Phil stores the poop bucket in the same place as his food is already disturbing enough, but there may be a more disturbing implication that he didn't wipe once throughout the whole thing. I mean, I don't see a pile of toilet-rolls anywhere in his room, nor do I see it as an item on 'the shopping list,' which is his bare minimum needs.
This game is beautiful and sad because as a person who has abusive father who yells and can get violent for small reason and sometimes my mother never helps and I can always stay in my room and my father hates it. This one time my father beat my bother My bother was only 12 and this one time he beat me with a belt. I still remember that pain and sometimes i want to kill myself and my father and he beats me and my siblings in a violent way and yells in a violent way. Thanks to my father i have a sensitive mind , angry issues and i hallucinate a lot but my father changed and im happy because this game i can related.
