I went with my niece the 1st time she ever took her dogs to the ocean, when they were living in the South. At 1 point during the drive, which was 45 minutes, the dogs started to get antsy. She said "it's because this is the same route we take to get to the vet. They think we're going to the vet". 😆
Linda C - they are smart lil boogers!! Our dogs start freaking out the second we get them in the car. Bella used to be good but as we stopped taking her places, except for to the vet with her brothers and other sister (RIP) she’s getting to where she pants the whole ride too. We had her first out of the three frenchies so she would go everywhere with us or with daddy. Lucy was a mini dachshund and much older so we could leave her home if we had to scoot but after we got Frankie then a couple years later, Archie, they wanted nothing to do with the car!! We got Bella locally but she does not have true frenchie features. But the boys cane from the same breeder in Iowa (we are in NY) and so they flew here. Archie came with a nanny tho so he didn’t have too much of a fearful time but poor Frankie had to take that ride in a carrier and God only knows where they put it. My poor baby. I always wondered if it scarred him for life!! ✈️🛫🛬🛩
I love their backseat tantrums. I watch the rainy day at the park one over and over. It's just so cute - a good way to forget about the real life drama going on. 😀

I'm glad his cornea has healed! I've scratched my cornea quite a few times and even had an ulcer in my left eye and it's not fun. I can't imagine being an animal that can't tell you exactly what's wrong 😕 Also, you should do a pupcake recipe video 😊

That's so true I just wished Grif could of spoken but I did my best to monitor him and keep his pain levels down and make sure his eye didn't get infected. Haru's birthday is coming up, so I definitely will! This is a new recipe I made today 😊💗💗💗
My ophthalmologist told me I had scrapes and pits on my corneas and that they look like the moon. Said the worst case of dry eye he’d ever seen. And that’s not why I went to see one!! My rheumatologist had put me on Hydroxychloroquine five years ago and you have to have a medical eye doctor check your eyes and do a scan/pic of your retinas then they do that once a year to make sure nothing changes. My eyes were always hurting and sometimes like a knife or ice-pic was going thru them but I just dealt with it. Now I have ointment and gel drops and a pill to help produce fluid and they put tear duct plugs in but they tend to fall out. It has made them feel better. Get so used to dealing with pain I forget it’s not normal. But you are so right. The poor pups can’t tell us what is wrong. She’s such a good momma though, so they are blessed pups! They are the cutest!! 😊
@@FreeMare1042 you’re supposed to have a checkup at least every 6 months, and visual field testing once a year, if you’re on plaquenil/HCQ. Be very careful, your retina can detach if they’re not monitoring you very, very closely on plaquenil. Just one of the many things we have to endure.😡 I use steroidal eyedrops for my eyes (I have a similar dry eye thing going on). Beaming you good thoughts, from a fellow rheumatology patient.😊I have both lupus and RA-i was diagnosed with juvenile RA at 11.
