I can totally relate to this. I just recently had to leave my job for 9 years to be with my husband. I know it's only the 3rd month but it's so hard to be unemployed. I've been applying to so many jobs but I'm always receiving no for an answer. I honestly feel like I'm so useless right now and it's causing me to cry every night. But as my husband (and also you) said, this is the time for me to learn new skills while I'm waiting for the right job. So thank you!
Yes, your video did bring me a lot of comfort. Thanks for taking the time to share your own personal experience and really put yourself out there. Wishing and hoping you have a lot of success with your youtube channel and with your employment situation. You deserve it!
I have been unemployed for almost 2 years after having worked in toxic nonprofits. I am confident, but I have never gotten past the first interview in for-profits and I rarely get interviews for them. I often get past the first interview for nonprofits and my interview rate is very high, but I don't want to work for a nonprofit and I lie about my interest during the interview. I'm not sure why I'm not able to work at a for-profit. I just applied for another nonprofit as a test and the hiring manager viewed my LinkedIn within the same day. I often get fast responses from nonprofits, but the pay and benefits compared to the high work amount expectations are disappointing. I don't want to overwork myself.
I hope things get better for you! That means you are doing very good at interviews! I am sure you will be able to work for a company that you like soon
