Krause was a cutthroat business man... You can't be that cutthroat and expect everyone to love you when you're dead... death doesn't erase the things you done that hurt other people 🤷🏾♂️
But lets be honest , ny and philly have classless fans . They booed Jeter and Mo. They treated Chad Pennington like crap. Classless and ungrateful are understatements . Im from ny and a huge Jets and Yankees fan.
He works for the team who wanted to contrive him a place he did not deserve in a ring of honor. So that is why fans are booing, but Fuck Jerry Krause and his look alike widow!
Been a Bulls fan all my life, but I'm not from Chicago. This was very classless and completely disrespectful. She didn't even want to get out of her chair. They made a mans widow cry when she was there to receive his honor. As a Bulls fan I had my issues towards Jerry but this was horrible and I feel ashamed to be a Bulls fan because they did that. Shame on you Chicago.💯
This is absolutely disgraceful!!! I feel sorry for his wife on what happened. I’m not a Bulls fan but for those who booed Jerry Krause especially his beloved widow, shame on you!!!!
BS, did you watch the same video. They set this up for failure by not introducing the woman first saying she was the wife of the former bulls gm responsible for the Jordan Dinastity who is no longer with us and showing her on the cam before so the crowd was aware it wasn't him who deserves boos, and those folks would have responded totally differently.

Can’t believe my Chicago did this. Applause his widow not him. Really disappointed in us for doing that. He wasent a great person but brought us 6 rings. His wife has nothing to do with it.
He probably suffered from childhood insecurities and was picked on which led him to be the way he was on the Bulls. He made scottie feel like his friend being the only one who believed in him only to lowball him later. But he did try to do one right thing and change his mind to bring MJ and Phil back but Reinsdorf wouldn't let him. Reinsdorf is the real villain. Had the power to keep krause in check and as a boss should do mediate conflicts between employees and help them understand each other but let him power trip too much and alienate the players

Everything comes to an end and it's his job to find a way to keep the team competitive as it transitions out of its older stars.
Wow. That was as low and classless as there is. Dude put these guys together and gave this city memories that will last generations. And you did it to his widow who looked absolutely destroyed. To make this woman feel that way after staying by her man all those years when he probably spent more time away from her than he wanted to is disgusting. Terrible, absolutely terrible.
Chicago bulls would not be anything without Jerry, you have rings because of what he built, Jordan’s documentary painted this guy as a villain but he was a architect who built them into a dynasty by drafting and signing the right talent.
Love love love the Bulls watched every game in that era. Thank you Mr Krause for building this legendary team and bringing me and my family so many years of entertainment. As a Chicagoan I’m ashamed how these so called Bulls fans conducted themselves on this special day. RIP Mr Krause # hall of fame
Let's get one fact posted for the world to see: Krause DID NOT DRAFT JORDAN!!!! And Krause did not draft Paxson! They were selected by Rod Thorn! Krause was a good GM of the Bulls. BUT, he did a lot of BS to many people: Doug Collins, Phil Jackson, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Charles Oakley, etc... He did good building a team around Mike. BUT, could not do it again after Mike and company left! Why? Because Krause was not great! Krause was good! Now, let's get another fact posted for the world to see: booing during the ceremony was fouled up, wrong, immature, and stupid! That should have not taken place! Them people in attendance should have been ashamed of themselves! Messed up! They should have applauded Mrs. Krause and honor Jerry's memory for doing a GOOD job! I hope this comment makes sense for everybody. Thank you.

That was disappointing. It’s ok to be upset if you feel the team was broken up prematurely, but be sure to appreciate what people have done for you.. especially when they are deceased. Teams have to be put together…. The front office picks the players, they don’t pick themselves. He made some good moves, especially with Phil Jackson. The announcer is right, several NBA teams don’t even have one championship.

Very classy to boo a dead man who played a big part in delivering six titles to the Windy City in an eight-year span. That is unheard of in any sport. Not even the Patriots accomplished that in eight seasons. Go ahead and boo him Chicago fans, because you will never see that kind of productivity from the Bulls again. You may not have liked his personality or his ego (ironic since Michael Jordan is far worse in both) but the man did what he was hired to do and was one hell of a good GM.
At some point, we're going to have to have the conversation of the last dance doing more harm than good. The only purpose it served was to glorify MJ Lol. Everybody was in the wrong except Mike was the message that "documentary" pushed the most
It exposes the top management to control the players too much. Last dance exposes Krause he is the man and not giving the credit to MJ. Look what's happening now especially with the case of LeBron. He is flexing the power of superstar players. MJ didn't do that. MJ just want Krause to stay in his lane and he delivered 5 chips to a garbage franchise before the last dance. Imagine an internal conflict telling the whole team it won't be the same even if it goes 82-0. That will take a lot mentally on players not to give a damn yet MJ took that burden personally. He just took it a challenge to himself. Last dance also when Pippen didn't played like half the season. MJ loyalty is to his fanbase and not with the Bulls management. The people who booed shared the same sentiments.
@@ronf.2029Exactly! Even my Dad brought up the conversation again when my Mom expressed her disappointment that MJ, Pippen were no shows tonight (Rodman I understand, they canceled lots of flights at ohare and midway)! Whether the players and fans liked him or not, Krause was the architect of the dynasty. He was right in that organizations win championships, and didnt allow anyone (including Jordan) to dictate which players to acquire. -Krause traded Oak for Cartwright, and Jordan was pissed. They ended up winning 3 with Bill. -Krause was gonna trade Scottie for a 24/25 year old Kemp after the 93-94 season when Scottie led the team in basically all statistics. Sonics owner (not Jordan) nixed the deal. -Krause traded Perdue for Rodman. 3 seasons later, 3 more championships. His post-dynasty tenure was forgettable, though. Couldn't lure Tmac, KG, Grant Hill, or any superstar free agents to Chicago. Trading Elton Brand for the 2nd pick in '01 was great on paper. Unfortunately, Chandler and Curry didn't fit long term. As a Bulls fan, I didn't like how smug he was. But couldn't argue with the results.
"Chicago doesn't have a reputation of being that way..." You do now.... great job. Everyone who booed deserves to be absolutely ashamed. You booed a widow who did nothing against any of you.

I wish all respect towards Jerry Krause and his widow; what happened tonight was very heartbreaking. With that being said, everyone knows how Bulls fans feel about Jerry Krause and how they'd react when his name gets brought up in a ceremony like this; booing is unfortunately a gut reaction for them with that name. While the fans that booed should've known better, the organizers definitely deserve a bit of the blame for thinking this would've gone any other way. Were they really that unaware of Chicago's perception of Krause?
Ok but I'm having a hard time understanding what Krouse did that warranted the boos. 6 titles is pretty damn good. And how much as Chicago won since his departure?
And with Krause there’s no bulls dynasty. The only good thing he ever did was acquire Rodman. He fucked upt he dynasty and everything post-dynasty was forgettable

What if the Bulls don't swing that trade and the Supersonics keep Scottie as a solid consolation prize for just missing out on the player that was high on their draft, Reggie Williams? What happens if the Bulls don't scout Scottie like they do and he winds up in Sacramento or Cleveland, because they also were heavily interested in him? How much changes without Scottie? My favorite alternate scenario is Scottie going to Cleveland, does that help them become "the team of the 90s" like Magic Johnson thought they would be?

Can confirm as a Heat fan living in the NY area. It never goes beyond razzing (even though I don't go to MSG when the Heat are in town, but that's because of James Dolan- a HUGE reason why I'm NOT a Knicks fan),seeing as I wear Heat stuff out and about. I'll hear stuff about the Finals, but that's about it. If anything, the worst attribute I find in Knicks fans is how delusional they've been about their team these past few years, but they know the game of basketball, and they're just faithful to their team. Can't fault them for that. Chicago, however, I have no sympathy for
Y’all can’t let a bunch of petty nonsense go. You wanted more titles? How about like a real historic franchise, you keep building and winning instead, of living off the past and making an old lady cry because you’re bitter.

A lot of the blame of this falls on MJ's hands. He waited for Krause to die before working on and releasing The Last Dance because he knew that if Krause was interviewed it would change the perception that everyone had on not just him, but Krause as well. This is beyond shameful.

Whether the players and fans liked him or not, Krause was the architect of the dynasty. He was right in that organizations win championships, and didnt allow anyone (including Jordan) to dictate which players to acquire.

Like I was expecting the booes to be louder or clearer..
@@xxtopgunxx8764 And yet KEPT booing.
Everybody is dodging the fact that this is 100% on MJ. He made Krause out to be the villain so he could shoot his documentary and create a story. Everybody is mad and disgusted and nobody will acknowledge this fact. I bet most of the fans boo'ing didn't even know who Krause was until the Last Dance came out.
I mean this is on the organization you have one of the biggest sports docs portraying him as a villain and you bring his wife to the arena you must know that there's a chance that the fans will boo. But explains why this organization hasnt competed for rings in over a decade
Not just the Last Dance but even when they gave him the ceremony 20 something years ago for that banner in the rafters everyone still booed him and louder
They brought his widow out so ppl wouldn't boo. Whoever made that call is a POS, they knew exactly what would happen
It's those guys in 20s and 30s and probably even 10s that watched "Last Dance" and judge Krause like that.
If you judge people that easily, you need serious help.
Or they are bulls fans their whole. It's no secret how Chicago felt about krause in the 90s when he was being booed.
Ouch man. I’m a nuggets fan and that look on her face was devastating. Fans should be ashamed.
I was in the Krause hatter camp in the 90's. But as I grew up, I understood Mr. Krause's role and he was legendary at what he did. He built the Bulls! The ONLY piece he didn't do is draft Jordan. Everything else he did. It's been almost 30 years. Let's let go of the hate and appreciate the man already. I know us Bulls fans fans have more class and tact than that.
Apparently not. I’ve seen some horrible fan bases, but this takes the cake.
@JackFlowers-wc4ee it's crazy you say that but probably will give mj a pass for not being able to get his team out the 2nd round without scotty and yet he deserves all this praise smdh the nerve of people if it wasn't for Jerry it probably wouldn't be a mj and yet bulls fans boo Jerry
F Krause, but you don’t boo a dead man’s wife
Who the heck are you, people are free people. Just because the lady cried you can't think logically, all bulls fans know what an ass Krause was and deserves every bit of vitriol coming his way.
the only thing he didnt do is the getting most important piece of the puzzle that made everything else work.....
A disgrace to boo that woman, it is one of the saddest things i witnessed, im embaressed by those fans
As a Chicago native a Bulls fan. I dislike what Jerry Krause did breaking up the dynasty. But I appreciate him building it up in the first place. If he was alive an and present a the ceremony, let him have it. His widow was there to honor his memory, don’t boo. My city showed how classless we really are. Everyone there should be ashamed.
You do realize that eventually they would have gotten old. No disrespect to the warriors but look at them now there time is over .
No matter how you feel about Jerry Krause…there’s zero reason to boo his widow. That just shows the lack of respect a person has for humanity in general. Watching her reaction totally breaks my heart.
Did the fans even know his wife was there before they pasted her mug on the screen? Born in 1980 & and have lived in Chicago my whole life. Witnessing the best basketball player & team to ever grace the court represent my home town was truly something special. Love him or hate him, you can't deny Jerry Krause was a key figure in building that magic. As fans we should represent Chicago in appreciation for that surreal era.
Why did the announcer have to put down New York and Philly?
they caught strays...love it
didn’t the eagles boo dak prescott when he got man of the year award?
Because they’re trash
I mean, he wasn't wrong.
Those fanbases boast about being rough and mean but now it's a problem when somebody out of town calls them rough and mean lol?
Typical MIDwest BS,that's why
I wish all respect towards Jerry Krause and his widow; what happened tonight was very heartbreaking. With that being said, everyone knows how Bulls fans feel about Jerry Krause and how they'd react when his name gets brought up in a ceremony like this; booing is unfortunately a gut reaction for them with that name. While the fans that booed should've known better, the organizers definitely deserve a bit of the blame for thinking this would've gone any other way. Were they really that unaware of Chicago's perception of Krause?
Exactly! The only intelligent/realistic comment I've read.
Exactly…. To bring his wife into it was distasteful they set her up. 😢
Ok but I'm having a hard time understanding what Krouse did that warranted the boos. 6 titles is pretty damn good. And how much as Chicago won since his departure?
Imagine Thelma getting ready earlier this day thinking that the night was going to be beautiful. 😂
😂😂😂😂
ay that's wild. how yall going to boo ol' girl like that.
without Krause, there is no bulls dynasty. he put the team together
And with Krause there’s no bulls dynasty. The only good thing he ever did was acquire Rodman. He fucked upt he dynasty and everything post-dynasty was forgettable
Replace Krause with any other gm who has ever been a gm, they would’ve also won having Michael Jordan on their team. Don’t act like Krause won them anything when MJ did all the real work
Without Jordan there is no Bulls dynasty. Anyone can put a team together.
he broke up the team because he jealous of Phil
@@evanmurpheyYou're assuming that everything plays out exactly the same way with another man in the exec seat. All you have to do is change 1 thing and that changes everything, that being the 1987 draft.
“As a bulls fan” “as a bulls fan” “as a bulls fan” like dang we get it 😂😂
It’s important to make the distinction or you guys troll even further
@@matthewharris9580 that literally makes no sense but Ight lol
People are waaaay too invested in sports to be booing an 80 year old widow
They were booing the dead man jerry Krause cuz he was the inductee and the unliked one (and the booing fans perhaps unknowingly hadnt realized the wife was in attendance since they started booing before the mention on the board that shes here on behalf), but yea ur right in ur way with ur overall message that ppl be way too invested with their feelings on sports teams (and especially major market fanbases especially it seem like, e.g. lakers, bulls, celtics, sixers, raptors, etc.) It was totally out of line to even boo someone not here anymore, and they should be ashamed cuz what type of relation did they really have to u that makes u want to boo them even after death? Classless by fans in that arena that booed. Ngl I did not expect chicago, a relative calm cool-collected fanbase for the most part, to act this way. This was surprising in a way to me.
Her husband was a loser.
"Thats not Chicago, thats New York, Philly"
Well, here we are, it looks like it is a Chicago thing. Also, pretty rich bringing New York and their fans into it! Knicks fans are a lot of things, but there sure as heck arent disloyal to their own!
They aren’t? So Charles Oakley didn’t get kicked out of the garden?
@@CHI-JORDAN-CHIHe said Knicks fans not Knicks' owner haha. And no I'm not a Knicks fan. I'm just a fan of reading comprehension.
@@CHI-JORDAN-CHI Totally different, Knicks fans absolutely revere Oakley, that was the dickhead owner who did that.
That's right, it's not like it was Knick fans who kicked him out of the Garden, they love Oakley.
Chicago, however, I have no sympathy for
Boston fans are watching this confused that it’s not a Black person being booed.
"Why haven't the Bulls won anything since Michael Jordan retired?"
To anyone who asks that question, just show them this video. It'll explain a lot.
The bulls have been one of the worst teams of the past 20 years. Their only good window was 1990-1998
D. Rose's injuries, here's your answer.
*Chicago sports fans NEVER forget…*
Are you svpid? You must be a teenager
We also don't have any business making an 80 something year old woman cry
Never forget what ? That without Jerry Krause there is no Bulls dynasty ? Seems like they did.
@@jigglynorris2559no one made her cry
Y’all can’t let a bunch of petty nonsense go. You wanted more titles? How about like a real historic franchise, you keep building and winning instead, of living off the past and making an old lady cry because you’re bitter.
As a Life long bulls fan who watched a game at the international amphantheatre late 60s, we are fans first. There was never any love for that man. blame? You blame the management for showing the widows face. What do you expect showing his mug on the big screen a big kiss and hugs haray hell no , boos. They should have announced the widow first, stop the life feed, then show his face. We are fans first. We have every right to boo him. Management knew every time you even mentioned his name let alone his mug the response.
A lot of the blame of this falls on MJ's hands. He waited for Krause to die before working on and releasing The Last Dance because he knew that if Krause was interviewed it would change the perception that everyone had on not just him, but Krause as well.
This is beyond shameful.
bro krause literally said he don’t care if the bulls go 82-0 phil is getting fired in the midst of them playing for titles he would say it in the middle of the season like he wanted to hurt they chances of winning he was salty cause he want the game glory n be loved by the players and fans but it went to phil and he ended up getting jealous and his ego blinded him thts the narrative he wanted to prove organizations win championships not the players
Yall stay yapping on the internet. Production of the last dance started before Krause died. But nah lets have a hate boner for MJ.
Lets be real, MJ's pettiness is the reason why they booed. Great B-ball player but he was a bully, tyrant, and egoistical.
He has the worst personality in sports history. He is worse than John Rocker, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Ty Cobb
I’m from Chicago and that’s actually sad and classless u don’t have to like the man show a little respect he was the best GM the bulls ever had
Did they lower the boos? I couldn’t really hear.
