  • There are two types of people in the church today who desperately need the revitalizing truth of the gospel. Both have been affected by legalism and/or pietism and need a breath of fresh gospel air to remind them of their Savior, reorienting their assurance away from themselves, their performance, and their abilities, and back toward the true object of their faith: the Lord Jesus.

Been living in anxiety and depression from years of trying to overcome the misdeeds of the Body in my own strength until I recently came across ( Grace evangelical society) and realised I had it backwards and simply needed to repent and put my belief in Jesus Christ alone. Thanks be to God after so much struggling im getting the victory through Christ in different areas of my life. Thank you Jesus.

When I listened to guys like John MacArthur, Paul Washer, John Piper, and Tim Conway, I would be confused about grace and works. I was always looking at myself and my works for salvation living in fear and despair. The real fruit of Lordship Salvation is trust in one's works. It is a literal works salvation, just subtly back loaded unlike other works salvationists. "We are saved by grace alone, but you must look at your works and desires to determine your salvation." Which does one focus on? Christ or one's works, desires, feelings, etc.??? Lol

It is the Gospel it self that makes the claim of the Lordship of Christ. Truly man and truly God the mysterious truth that is our very great salvation. How can man be reconciled to God? It’s right that we are confused, it’s not right that if it’s hard to believe you reduce Christ to fit into something other than Lord. If Christ is not God how can He save? Who could accomplish salvation if He was not Lord? “Who do you say I am “

@davidelgeti517 By what you just stated, I'm not sure you understand what lordship salvation is.
Of course Jesus christ is lord But the focus of the lordship salvation camp is to look to one's actions to determine.
One's salvation instead of believing Jesus alone for salvation

@@savedwretch8711 I am sure there is a spectrum of people in that camp, some I would align with and others I wouldn’t. I am not familiar with all those in the Lord ship camp other than RC Sproul. I understood the fight against essay believitism, that people wanted a Saviour but not a Lord. They wanted to live as they pleased and look not to Christ as Lord and Saviour but to their work of their profession but not to the work and authority of Christ. The point RC Sproul made if Christ is not Lord How can anyone be saved ? The good news is Christ is Lord and able to save, if not truly God and truly man, how can man be saved. It wasn’t adding anything to the Gospel, it is the Gospel! When the good news comes to man what in that news has the power to save? It is the person of Jesus Christ that alone has the power to save. Lord and Saviour!

For me it's more of the opposite. I know I'm sanctified by grace alone, but the majority of my friends and people I meet are Lordship guys so they outcast me...

@@kirkdennis830 Grace alone through Faith alone. What do we understand by faith? Your faith is a believing in something or someone, if your faith is on a firm foundation, it is in Christ alone, who does Jesus say He is ? Who do you say I am? Is the question we are all asked, Never mind what the Lordship guys say.
The answer is found in the Word or words of God, scripture alone for the glory of God alone. How we define alone today is maybe not the way it was meant to be understood. We also think of Jesus as our personal saviour but is that all Jesus Christ is? Jesus is only able to save you because of who He is, what if you were able to see all that is Christ, would your testimony look beyond yourself and your salvation to Christ and all His Glory? Maybe this is what the Lordship guys are attempting, even as they may have errors trying to explain, explaining what God means by His name. “I am”.

@davidelgeti517 I understand by faith, intellectual Assent.
That is understanding the gospel and assenting to that message. Demons can't so this because Christ didn't die for them. They may assent to lots of things surrounding this fact but they can't assent to gospel alone.

So you mean you are justified by faith alone. Sanctification is a process by which we become more like Christ.
And as for your friends, if the disassociated with you because you only want to eat veggies or whatever that’s one thing. If, however, they disassociated from you because you continued to live in sin then yeah they don’t want to be in fellowship with you.

@reedlizard912 to live in sin is a covenant thing. So those friends of mine never believed the gospel. They thought they did but didn't. We all sin, some sins we commit are habits of the flesh. But none of them did the Matthew 18 model. Further, apparently I have autism. What's sin and what's autism? Was it a sin to say I was lonely and wanted to hang out with folks? I'm don't think so. I often don't ever get a text from anyone. I usually hang by myself.

When you say a believer has been "declared righteous", that is only a clean slate for past sins, Romans 5-8 is baptism not salvation, only doers of the law are justified.

@@RickZolaBuckeyeBeliever no I'm not. God said he would make a new covenant and remember your sins no more, remember is about the past. Peter says the believers sins had been purged. And of course Romans 3:25 is for the remission of sins that are past.
There was no atonement directly at the Cross, I have a video in the series 'Myths in so-called Christianity' saying just that, there are many theories as Christianity dies not have the answer, but I do.
Romans 5-8 is baptism not salvation, atoned into the church with a promise for those who are in Christ. It a covenant or contract as Romans 7:1-4.
Anyway it's all in my Ytube videos.

@@RickZolaBuckeyeBeliever The Cross was not an altar to forgive sins, atonement comes at baptism purging old sins, no direct atonement but indirect in the new covenant. Yes I am heretic to Christianity, but Christianity is false teaching of the NT.
Jesus regained access to eternal life lost by Adam at the Cross, but if he were not raised our faith would be in vain, because he is head of the church.
