Another fine job.. Who would of thought turn it upside down and it would work. I know Jerry Rosa that's who.. God bless❤️🙏🌹 Sue is keeping you one busy man .
? ? ? Hi Jerry : would it work for you to screw the swinging hasp part to the door casing somewhere and let the hoop eye part ride on the door , since the door opens inward ? Preventing risk of false lock-in .
Is that a real question? Assuming it is, yes, wood will, generally, swell (across the grain) in the summer months, due to excess humidity, carried by the warm air. Air conditioning in the home can control humidity, to some extent. In winter months, if you have no humidifier, wood will shrink (across the grain). A home, without humidification, can get as low as 5%. Not healthy for wood or humans.

Nice job Jerry. If Sue's happy, we are all happy!
WV HILLBILLY I AM VOTING ON YOU JERRY TO GET THE LOCK FIXED
You could be a dentist with those filing skills 🤣
Guess who'll get locked in - and you'll have to take the clasp off again!

Stay alert and you will learn plenty from Missouri Jewel !!!
the pad lock latch should be reversed... put the loop part on the door so it cant lock a person inside but will still lock from the outside.
