Another darker blue to consider - since you love the idea of the "something blue" and the fact that your bridesmaids will be in blue (not sure what shade) - would be the OPI Less is Norse! You said you were obsessed with the color AND you got engaged while wearing it! I think that could be a cute tie in to the two important dates. Unless you're wanting two separate colors to remember the dates by, of course. Just a thought! 💙
I feel like if you love dark nail polish than you should go with a dark nail polish. That being said, I would consider picking a different dark nail polish than the two you mentioned. It sounds like you have used that black before for other special occasions and the purple I assume you have also worn for special occasions since it is your favorite. I would recommend choosing a dark polish that you can just associate with your wedding day, rather than wearing it again and thinking of many different things. Similar to picking a special perfume just for your wedding day. Hope this helps!

i think it's cool you're choosing a darker color, if it's more representative of you, and like you said, i think they're classic and you won't regret it. it's not like a bright lime green lol. i like the black onyx and hello kitty pink colors the best :)

I wore funny bunny on my wedding day. I loved it. It was the perfect mix of classic and modern color. 3 coats because I wanted it opaque and I did gel nail polish to make sure I had no chips. My recommendation for you is your all time favorite. It’s so different yet it’s you and your personality. Can’t wait to see more wedding videos!

I wore Essie "Aruba Blue" on my wedding day. I love the way the blue looked against my white dress and how it looked on my bouquet and now it's my special anniversary color!
IMO as someone who loves polish you should go with what you love! I find that when brides do a french or the pale pink, it looks beautiful but it makes it seamless and almost non-existent (in a good way though). But if you love polish then why not make your nails stand out! I had mine picked out for a while before my wedding day, and I wore Essie's Ballet Slippers (like 5 coats haha) on my fingers, and Revlon's Cherries in the Snow (been a fave since I was in high school!) on my toes. I had navy peep-toe pumps so I wanted a fun pedicure of one of my all-time fave colors. So that's something to consider too - you have fingers and toes to play with! :D My bridesmaids wore navy too, and as a gift I got them cute clutches off Etsy - I got theirs in an ivory color but then one for myself in navy to match their dresses (and my shoes) so otherwise I would have considered dark blue nails but didn't want too matchy matchy with my clutch. I loooove dark nails too. I also wanted something complimentary to my dress (which had blush tones in it) and my bouquet (which was ivory, blush, and burgundy) so I liked how delicate and soft ballet slippers was. Think about what pictures are going to be taken of your hands - with your rings, against your dress maybe, with your bouquet, that might help you think what would look good and what you'd be happiest with. I also happened to fill my clutches with little gifts for my bridesmaids, and one of the things I got them was OPI - I Eat Mainely Lobster (since we got married in Maine) and I know a lot of them ended up using that color on fingers or toes for the wedding - so that could be another fun way to incorporate a color you love but might not wear, gifts are always good! Now my girls have that polish to remember my wedding by :P But I think 100% just be true to you and you won't look back on your pics and wish you had done it any differently. You mentioned your perfume in another video too, I ended up wearing one of my favorite perfumes on my wedding day just to add to how much I love it, rather than going with a brand new one (I had the same idea though of having that one special one). Since it's one I already love and still continue to wear, it just makes me even happier that I can remember my wedding day all the time with it. Honestly for me, the day goes by in such a blur that I know I wouldn't have any of those "memories of my wedding day" just from the smell of the perfume that I wore haha
Girl - you wear exactly what you want to wear, not what other brides do. You won't ever regret that decision. Your taste may change over the years but you will always look back at pictures and be happy with your choice! I am a long time follower and am very happy for you! I think the Black Onyx is really awesome! I'm getting married in Las Vegas in June and I am thinking of doing black nails also, and you're right it's classy. It does make the fingers look very slim. What could be fun is on your ring finger if you did the Sapphire in the Snow it would be a combo of both and you may have thought of that.

Hey Amy! I've been following you for years now. Congrats!! I love that you are taking an un-traditional approach to your nails on your wedding day. I did a similar thing when I got married 5 years ago and wore a solid color rather than the ever-so-popular french manicure. The color I wore was My Vampire Is Buff. I totally recognize that isn't too crazy but it felt like it at the time. I loved everything about my wedding day, it was a beautiful vineyard Oregon wedding, but the only thing I regret is that I didn't do gel/shellac nails. People laugh at me when I tell them that today but I did have a couple chips on my actual wedding day, even though I got my nails done the morning before too. I know you always do regular manicures so I actually think it might be okay for you but that would be my only recommendation. I love the black & navy! I think for a fall wedding it is going to be stunning. As another idea you could have your bridesmaids do the color you don't pick.

I did OPI Bubble Bath on my wedding day! Loved that it’s so sheer and didn’t take away from the dress or bouquet or anything, but my colors were ivory, gold, and soft blush pink shades so it kind of made sense for me lol. I think you should go dark. Fits your personality!!

I wore OPI's Vant to Bite My Neck? It was a super dark purple that was part of the Euro Centrale Spring/Summer Collection from 2013. I definitely don't regret wearing such a dark color! It looked great! :D
I think you should go with either the black or sapphires in the snow, depending on what your theme is. No sense trying to be classic if it’s not you! Years from now you would regret doing a French manicure or baby pink. Btw, zoya Pinta is a nearly identical dupe for your beloved sapphires in the snow!
Got married this last December. I wore a sheer pink with a sparkly coat on top hat was very dense at the top of my nail bed.. like a sparkle waterfall.
I got married in September, and I wore a pale pink gel color. I’m pretty sure it was gelish brand, not sure of the color name, but I loved it. I have a white gold solitaire round diamond and it looked beautiful with my nails.
Also speaking of blue.. there’s a really cute pair of hanky panky thong panties that are baby blue and have Swarovski crystals spelling out “I do” on the waistband!

My dress is a very pale blush with light silver beading all over so I had a cool toned, holographic pale pink/silvery color made. It hasn't come in the mail yet but I'm so excited. :)

Might want to consider what looks good with the flower color scheme and with your rings, those were two pics that I can remember that are usually close-ups with your hands. I wore a dark black navy on my wedding. Its from Sally Hansen called Dark Hue-mor, you can still find it in stores today if you want a newer not ten year old polish that you have, you could try this one.
I wore Essie Go Ginza on my wedding day. I always knew I’d wear purple and it matched my girls dresses. My wedding was in July, but if I got married in the fall I probably would have considered a darker color.
I wore Bubble Bath but seriously debated a dark wine. Even if you pick something more you, you’ll look back and remember how you loved that color st that time in your life.
I think you should go for whatever color makes you happiest on your special day. I would go for a pink shade or French tips, but I am more of a traditionalist. I wore no nail polish on my wedding day, but I simply wasn't into wearing nail polish back then.
Whatever color makes you happy is always the right shade. That being said, have you considered wearing OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark? I know you do like it, it's dark & you might like having that on the border color look. Remember you can always have runnerup color on your toes. You might be cutting a rug, without shoes, at the reception 😁

I did OPI Bubble Bath on my wedding day! Loved that it’s so sheer and didn’t take away from the dress or bouquet or anything, but my colors were ivory, gold, and soft blush pink shades so it kind of made sense for me lol. I think you should go dark. Fits your personality!!
You should do a faded french! With maybe some subtle jewels :)
I wore a gel (no name at the salon) turquoise very similar to My Dogsled Is A Hybrid. Loved it. We went to WDW for our honeymoon and it glowed in the dark rides :)
I wore Essie ballet slippers as the base color for a french manicure on my wedding day. This was many years ago, when people still got french manicures lol.
I did traditional french and I regret that because I wear black polish for like 75% of my life. I should have just stayed true to who I am. I am so glad that you plan to do just that :)

My wedding day nails were buffed and shined with a clear polish, but if I were to have a vow renewal, I think I'd consider red or nude polish to coordinate with my bouquet of red roses. :) Whatever you choose - I'd make sure it looks nice next to your bouquet. :D I love that your plan is to be true to yourself. I have emerald green nails in my high school yearbook photo and my mom was sure I'd regret it. Decades later, I still think its great. HAHA

I wore ILNP’s Juliette - it’s a gorgeous rose gold flaky metallic/holo. I got some flack for it being such a statement but who cares, it was beautiful and I don’t regret it!

I wore OPI's Vant to Bite My Neck? It was a super dark purple that was part of the Euro Centrale Spring/Summer Collection from 2013. I definitely don't regret wearing such a dark color! It looked great! :D
I think you should go with either the black or sapphires in the snow, depending on what your theme is. No sense trying to be classic if it’s not you! Years from now you would regret doing a French manicure or baby pink. Btw, zoya Pinta is a nearly identical dupe for your beloved sapphires in the snow!
Got married this last December. I wore a sheer pink with a sparkly coat on top hat was very dense at the top of my nail bed.. like a sparkle waterfall.

I got married in September, and I wore a pale pink gel color. I’m pretty sure it was gelish brand, not sure of the color name, but I loved it. I have a white gold solitaire round diamond and it looked beautiful with my nails.
Also speaking of blue.. there’s a really cute pair of hanky panky thong panties that are baby blue and have Swarovski crystals spelling out “I do” on the waistband!

This has always been a dilemma for me too! I'm getting married in June and I am more into indie polish (although I do have an OPI collection also) so I'm getting a custom made color for my wedding. My dress is a very pale blush with light silver beading all over so I had a cool toned, holographic pale pink/silvery color made. It hasn't come in the mail yet but I'm so excited. :)
I wore French tip short acrylics on my wedding day. I also didn’t do my toes cuz I wore cream vans as my shoes cuz I wanted to be comfortable. 😜
I did a French manicure for my wedding. 😊 I'm sure you'll look great in whatever you choose. Might want to consider what looks good with the flower color scheme and with your rings, those were two pics that I can remember that are usually close-ups with your hands.

I am single and a wedding is nowhere in the near future, but I want my future wedding to be in the fall with a wine/burgundy color scheme. I want my nails to be that color as well. I don't have one specific one picked out, but Zoya Liz would be a very strong contender.
I wore a dark black navy on my wedding. Its from Sally Hansen called Dark Hue-mor, you can still find it in stores today if you want a newer not ten year old polish that you have, you could try this one.

I like Sapphire in The Snow. You mentioned glitter, maybe you could go with a glitter accent nail? Would look great with the dark blue!

I think you should go for whatever color makes you happiest on your special day. I would go for a pink shade or French tips, but I am more of a traditionalist. I wore no nail polish on my wedding day, but I simply wasn't into wearing nail polish back then.

Whatever color makes you happy is always the right shade. That being said, have you considered wearing OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark? I know you do like it, it's dark & you might like having that on the border color look.
Remember you can always have runnerup color on your toes. You might be cutting a rug, without shoes, at the reception 😁

I got married in the fall as well and my mother made me feel guilty for wanting to wear dark polish and I ended up doing a lighter color, and even though it looked good I look back and cringe because it wasn’t ME. I ended up wearing OPI Care to Danse? With Pirouette My Whistle on top. 🤷🏽♀️
