    Thank you for this video! I have been feeling so guilty for not being able to focus during corporate worship and prayer time. This is helpful.

    There is a lot here that you say that I agree with obviously. One thing that we as Christians with ADHD have to be a bit careful with on either side of the scale is not accusing ourselves of being lazy if we're truly burnt out and suffering from ADHD paralysis or brain paralysis but on the other hand if we can do something, even one thing on our task list then that is better than doing nothing. God knows what we can do and what we can't do. It's just as bad to condemn ourselves for being lazy when we're actually struggling to get it together as it is to genuinely be lazy when we could have actually had a productive day. Today I am honestly struggling. Yesterday was such a full-on day and I am exhausted. I have even had an accident today when trying to climb the stairs because I misjudged my footing. We do need to give ourselves a little more grace some days than others. Onwards and upwards though. Looking to Christ for strength. 🙂
    I've heard it said before that we should talk to ourselves, rather than allowing ourselves to talk to us. I believe this is what David did when He said things like "why are you downcast oh my soul? Hope though in God for I shall yet praise Him."

      @@angeladyson7367 of course, we are not lazy, in Christ we are diligent. The realities discussed are not to shame but to encourage to look into our true identities and God’s original design whenever we face the realities of our bodies. Whenever you do something and think to yourself “I’m so clumsy!” (which may still be true in the physical realm) we can change that to “I’m strong and patient, I have a sound mind and self control” which is our true identity in Christ. Hope that makes sense 🫶

    I thank God for He led me on this video of yours, Vivi. I have observed in myself as I grow up that I manifest most of the symptomps of ADHD. On the other hand, I am a follower of Christ, and I also want to hear the experience of other Christians who have ADHD and how they live in accordance to the Holy Spirit despite having this mental condition. This video has brought me closer to Christ and truly helped me a lot with my journey in faith. Glory to God! God bless you, sister in Christ. 🤍

    Thank you for this!
    I have been doing some research and I believe i have ADHD. I've been experiencing many of the symptoms of ADHD really my whole life and I am just now realizing that these are not recent, but have been here the entire time.
    If you don't mind me asking, how did you get diagnosed?

    I wouldn't say sinful body because it ain't innately sinful but rather fallen body the body is not in its glorified state due to original sin

    Hey do u take adhd medication ?

      Hello, not at the time. I’ve been able to cope and do life without it, with lots of tools like planners, reminders and such though ☺️

      @@ViviSchenk ah thank u for your answer:) what do u think about adhd medication?

    • @ViviSchenk
      @ViviSchenk  8 месяцев назад +4

      I believe God has put tools in this world that we can have access to. Say someone with cancer is praying and believing for healing but they should also take the recommended treatment of chemo. If ADHD is truly getting in the way of someone’s executive functioning causing job loss, broken relationships, etc, it is wise to seek for medical help and follow a professional’s recommendation. This shouldn’t replace the spiritual side though, spiritual mentorship, declaring truth, healing and overcoming over our situation should be the foundation of any action we take, whether the action involves medication or not ☺️ That’s my take on it.
