- A brief look around my VFR1200X Crosstourer pointing out some of the aftermarket parts I have fitted .It also includes a sound test on the Leo Vince Evo One Carbon exhaust. Shot using a DJI Osmo Action Cam and Rode mic.
I loved the review.....it was comprehensive on the topics and it did not have any annoying music in the background. Cheers mate👍
Cheers Ian for the kind words. It was my first real look at components added to the bike. Let’s hope I continue to keep things simple. Stay safe.
Mitch , thanks. Very helpful. Would it be easy to list in the description links for all your accessories? If not, I'll seek them out.
Hi Joe, thanks for watching. Which bits in particular are you looking for.
Great review mate, where did you get the pannier stickers
Hi Paul, thanks for watching T&S custom vinyl on facebook(UK)
@@VFRMitch Thanks mate cheers
Great video, some nice accessories there. I'm picking up a 2015 vfr1200x dct on Wednesday and I will be looking to mount my tom tom sat nav. What mounting system did you use to mount your Garmin ?
Hi Freddie, thanks is for taking the time to watch. I was lucky enough to find mine on eBay. Simply searched sat nav mount crosstourer or VFR1200X . Is yours the fixed screen?
GPS/ Smartphone navigation bracket VFR1200X seems to fetch a few up. Very similar to mine. Mine was one of the original ones made in Poland . Most of the ones now seem to come from China ( there’s a suprise!) . Are you in the UK? Also I think you can only use these if you have the older bike with the ‘fixed’ screen. If it’s a newer model with a lever to adjust the screen you might have to look elsewhere.
I'm not sure if mine has the fixed screen or not iv only seen pictures of the bike online. I'm in Northern Ireland. Thanks for the reply I will do a search on e.bay.
Really useful vid.....I shall be adding some of those to my CT that I've just bought. The only thing that's missing is a hugger! I have to fit one to all my bikes to stop all that crud ending up in and all around the shock.
Thank you for taking the time to watch my video. Enjoy your VFR1200X. I’ve still a few bits to do on mine. Vids will follow .
I meant to ask.....where did you get the pannier decals from please?
@@davidallen1213 T&S Custom Vinyl on Facebook. Tell him I sent you. I must have made him a few quid as I’ve sent at leat 10 customers his way. They are excellent quality.
Many thanks!
Can I trouble you with another question please....where did you get your resin / gel boot/frame protectors from? I know that R&G sell some but theirs are just plain matt black. Thanks in anticipation.
I happen to really like the look of the standard exhaust so will leave it but that Leovince does have a nice shape to it. Sound is difficult to judge TBH, As long as you like it though.
Hi. I dropped mine onto its side and it dented the exhaust. at £870 another Honda one was not going on.
@@VFRMitch Hi Mitch, bummer. I know it's off topic but I was out on my DCT yesterday and it's a great bike isn't it! I like a manual box but this DCT really is terrific.
Informative video.
Does the DCT change gears when you are negotiating a curve or making a turn?
yes . sometimes. depending on the type of curve and your riding style, i would strongly recommend switching to MAN momentarily
Hi do you have the order details for the power bronze hand guards, the gel side protectors and the gel seat by any chance. Cheers
Hi Garry, are you in the UK?
@VFRMitch hi mate yeah I am in Northumberland.
@@garryburns2061 Hi Garry, PM me please on Facebook I’ll send you all the info.
@@VFRMitch pm sent m8
Brilliant bike, the best seat you can buy for this is the Russell day long, or for less money the Top Sellerie.
Thanks for the info. I might treat myself one day 👍
Nice machine, nice accessories and really nice review. I had to spead up the play back to 1.5x and the audio was a bit poor in places. I would have loved to hear the exhaust when she's opened up under a load. The short revs didn't sound too good to me but I'm sure its much better in person. I love those cases too bad they are so expensive but not having the ugly brackets as some others do is a real plus. Looks like they stopped selling this model in the states but I have my eye on a lightly used one.
Thanks for the comment Robert. My production skills are improving and this was the first vid with a shotgun mic so plenty learned on that day. She sounds great opened up and a video will be available in the not too distant future with her singing with the taps fully opened. I’ve recently found a nice bit of road which I think I can stretch her legs a bit under load. Sadly we are in lockdown in the UK and making content of the bike being ridden has been a bit thin on the ground. I have a new helmet and microphone setup which seems to capture the audio very well from the riders perspective. Please be sure to subscribe and I’ll have something for you soon. They are great bikes. They stopped making them a couple of years ago so finding a new one is becoming more and more difficult. They will be a legend as they are the last production Honda V4 powered bikes. There are rumours of maybe a new V4 powered sports bike in the pipeline but personally I think future emissions regulations and investment into electric power trains will prevent it from happening. I do hope I’m wrong. Stay safe 👍
Hello from Spain. Where did you get the stickers for the side cases? Thank you
Hi Jesus. Look for T&S custom Vinyl on Facebook. Thanks for watching 👍
Great sound👍👍👍🍻🍻🍻
Hi Mitch. What brand / model is your GPS holder? Are you happy with it? Any vibrations? Where I can find it?
I got it off eBay a few years ago. No vibrations in mine. If you paste the following into eBay this product looks very similar but I can’t guarantee it’s exactly the same.
GPS Mobile Navigation Bracket For VFR1200X Crosstourer 2012-2015. Thanks for watching
@@VFRMitch Do you have to drill the screen. ??
@@denhill56 Hi Barry. The screen is not modified at all . It’s a standard Givi Airflow.
@@VFRMitch Struggling to see where it fits, mine is a 2018 model.
@@denhill56 that particular bracket I have only suits upto 2015/2016 models. If you have an oem adjustable windshield the bracket I have won’t fit I don’t think.
What difference does the leovince make as I’m interested. Also have you needed to repack it .
Hi Paul. It sounds better than the stock exhaust. Other than swapping the end can and link pipe no other modifications were made. The original fibre gasket cannot be reused and has to be taken off. I used some hi temp. exhaust paste to fill any gaps.
@@VFRMitch hi mate thanks for your reply
Can you please advise me where I can purchase the Pannier sticker set /decals - Thanks
Hi Phil, A bit of a sore point this one. The company who makes them used images of my bike without my permission to promote his business. He was reaping the rewards and I got a big fat zero in return. I’m still pointing people in his direction but not charmed about it. He’s had a good number of people put his way by me.If you search for T&S Custom Vinyl on Facebook ( He’s UK based) you will find him. The products are excellent and the prices reasonable. They do help to complete the look of the bike. Thanks for watching the vid 👍
Good job we know that exhaust sound doesn’t translate well to video as TBH, that sounded pretty crap!!
I believe you when you say it sounds good but it just doesn’t come across as such in the video.
My VFR CT came with a Delkavic exhaust (and the OEM one) which sounds okay. I definitely need to see/hear a few others to decide if I’ll ‘stick or twist’! 🤔😎
Will the PowerBronze bobbins fit over other crash-bars or just their own?
The ones I bought are designed to fit in addition to the OEM crash bars. I think they do a different option if you don’t have the Honda bars.
Hi mate how did you mount the sat nav to screen as I don’t see any bar mount or could you fit to handle bar .
Nice bike :)Is there a part number for the power bronze hand guards please ?
Hi there, The ones on my bike have a part number of :- SKU 380-H106-070. Please check your year and model for compatibility. Thanks for watching. Plenty more videos to come.
@@VFRMitch Thank :) It's a new one, ( 18) model. Ill check them out thanks. The stock ones look way too small to me
@@RichardsModellingAdventures the OEM ones are a little small. The Powerbronze ones offer more wind protection certainly.

Hi, great video. Really nice looking bike, do you have info were to get those pannier sticker sets? Thanks.
Hi Mattias , Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. If you search for T&S Custom Vinyl on Facebook and let Mihai know you saw the stickers on my video. I have purchased many products from him. They are all first class !
Where you from buddy??
West Yorkshire . UK
Why did you pick a very muddy lane to show us your gorgeous bike , it’s too nice to get muddy
Hi Donna, Thanks for the comment. The bike was spotless. I only travelled 100yards along a track, had rained recently. I nearly dropped it in a ditch🤣🤣. The spot is away from road noise making it ideal for videos. Next time I’ll only use it when it’s dry.
