@@joevictor53 Well it’s a video about LEGO/LEGO bootlegs.. So I don’t see how you could take it any other way than him meaning there has now been any Marvel/Minecrafy crossover in LEGO form.

I have a funny story about bootlegs actually. A few weeks ago I bought what I thought was a bootleg iron man Minifigure for the hell of it, but when I opened it, the thing was 5 times the size of a normal Minifigure. Nothing on the box said it was over sized, and it was the same size as the normal bootleg boxes you find. Funnily enough, it's compatible with duplo of all things.
Had a similar one except it was Raphael from TMNT,it lacked accesories, and both shell and head were a pain in the ass to fit,but i still exploited all the fun i could get with it
I will give the bootleg Moana set some credit for giving Moana two hairpieces, the standard long hair and the tied up bun she wears during the start of act 2.
There was a fan competition in Germany 1 or 2 years back to make a crazy themed death star. This thing might be a copy of one of those. There was definitely at least one Disney Princess one created for that.
The Stars Collection is a clear example of what happens when you rip off famous movie characters but you’ve clearly never seen the movie or have only a vague idea of who they are.
The C3PO ccbs figure is "inspired" by an old Ideas (then Cuusoo) project, which was created way before official Lego Star Wars buildable figures came out, around the time when the Marvel/DC ultrabuilds were still fairly new. The creator of the project would later show his dissapointment towards Lego, as he felt that his idea was stolen by them.
Actually, in the Star Wars Legends lore, Jacen (pronounced JASON) Solo was the son of Han and Leia who fell to the dark side and became Darth Caedus. I mean, a minifigure of him and his siblings would be nice.
To be honest though, as a person who rarely get access to genuine LEGO because of its price range from my country, I usually only buy the Ninjago knockoff ones (Unless the quality of the minifigs, matched from the official ones), for a variety of purposes, including: Army building, customs, etc. Gotta say, they're kinda hilarious and it makes me want to see a part 2 soon...
I have never touched a real official LEGO so I only have bootlegs so by experience I can say that there are some very good and other are terrible so you just have yo try get quality
Same here from the Vietnamese, but actually it's because my mother can't find the difference between bootleg and real, although the LEGO shop is like 50 METERS AWAY FROM MY HOME.
1:11 ...well there was a skin pack for Avengers, Spider-Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy released for the legacy console editions, but those have since then been delisted and permanently lost due to those versions discontinuing.
There are some knockoffs that are good to get since they make minifigures that Lego has never made and the quality is not bad. I have a bunch from the Arrowverse and evil Batmen.
there has been a official marvel and Minecraft skinpack! it was so unknown being as early on the xbox 360 edition as the simpsons skin pack. there was 2 skin packs a spiderman one and a marvel themed one
Not gonna lie, the Disney Death Star is actually a pretty cool idea. LEGO should take a page out of the Chinese book and copy it ahahahah But yeah, I also lost it with the figure of President Trump. Specially as the last thing I was expecting was then actually sound business advice in the description 🤣🤣
Also Jedi Ackbar sounds like something the official star wars movies should do. Well not Ackbar himself, that would be stupid; but someone of his species as a jedi. It would be a nice nod, while giving us an interesting character.
6:15 I’ve seen this bootleg ten years ago when I went to Hawaii! I thought it was something else for a while but now that you’ve shown me that image it was the exact one. I was goin crazy a bit over that lol
The most interesting part of the bootleg Sonic figures is the metal Sonic. It’s actually a fan-made character called cyber Nazo, who was based on an old unused hyper Sonic design.
It's kinda sad because parents and kids don't realize it's fake, they just think it's Legos. Parents will buy these bootlegs and knockoffs for there kids and they won't realize that it's not real.
I’ve just ordered unofficial Spider-Man figures from Etsy. They seem good quality and I’ve only bought them because I’m not paying 100s for the official raimi figures 😭
i think the Jason figure is some kind of deformed version of Jacen solo from star wars legends. i can't stop chuckling at the fact that he has the most concerned expression i've ever seen in a buildable figure, hell on any figure in general.
to be fair, some bootleg designers are more creative than lego’s. bootlegs actually did the articulated short legs first, which lego later copied. bootleg also did plastic cape when lego was still on cloth cape. bootlegs actually contribute in pushing lego to think outside the box from time to time.
@Trash Animations that's a huge factor, sure, because what cost $20 for a set in usa can cost $40 here in asia. and while $40 can buy u a week's worth of grocery over there, $40 can be one month's rent here. anyone can buy lego over there while here only rich parents can buy their kids real lego. so u see how bootlegs is an irresistable alternative here. and then some bootleg brands started making better designs than lego, so collectors are beginning to give it a chance also. just google the latest doc ock & green goblin bootleg, they are far beyond what lego ever did.
12:19 Dude i remember these! i got them in a blind bag around 2013-2014. It just had stolen artwork and i got bowser and i remember it being really creepy since it was just a peach head with simple black eyes. Didn't know that they were so rare.
