Hey bro - I have 300k with coil overs and I have absolutely no issues with sounds - creeks - squeak at all - totally smooth as butter- have your suspension checked, maybe some you missed something - we have had 3 LS’s and never had suspension sounds or rattling at all- good luck Brotha- thank u for sharing
Ok. Came to the comments and glad someone else said it. I've been in LS430s and never heard any rattles and the ride was not harsh in ANY of them. I think taking out the air suspension and installing a lower quality coilover kit disqualifies him from giving a fair rating on the ride quality.

That Lexus's rattle and creak? That is absolutely foolish. I had a 96 ES 300 that I just got rid of 3 years ago that was absolutely quiet and smooth always. I have an 2006 LS 430 that you could record an album inside it while driving on the freeway. I also sold used cars of all types, and sold many Lexuses, which were almost always in immaculate condition.
Yea. YOUR car rattles and rides like💩. You got a jacked up interior hack. The suspension has been replaced with some Frankenstein eBay crap None of this is Lexus’s fault. Ls430’s are the smoothest and quietest cars around. And the great headliner looks great with the black interior. Don’t know what you’re smoking.
Hey mate. I agree on the interior creaking / rattling. I am positive that it never came like that from the factory, however over time/more mileage, sun exposure and what not, that the components would ultimately wear and start making noises. I have fixed most creaks in my LS, by using foam tape and some felt on problematic areas, really have to shove it in there with a plastic pry tool or something with a flat end. I even shoved it in the NAV unit bezel, which was making a "clicking/popping" sound over bumps. The most noticeable one that I have now is from the sunroof, I think the sliding cover lining material sort of sticks to the roof and will make a "popping" or "clicking" sort of sound. Haven't been able to figure that one out. I also have a rattling sub-tray on bass heavy music, probably need to take the seats out and get under the rear deck and add isolation material.
Also I just seen the trunk part, yeah that sounds a bit odd? Sounds like a damned Honda or something being slammed. My 04 sounds like a metal door being slammed shut haha. Possibly the sound deadening as you have mentioned has been removed?
the 51k miles sounds nice but its also an older car, gotta ask why it's that low? how was it stored over the years? 117k on a 05 seems like it was a regularly driven car. if youre still in the market, id say test drive both and get the background on them. then go from there. both cars will last you many years
