Sailors should remember this fact. If you want the wind to blow, just try to tarp something really important. it never fails.

I always like to post positive comments, I wish you luck with this one, bigger project than Wildlings and I can't help but think you should have got this for $1 but a boat is only worth what someone will pay so keep going. Andy UK

Oh the places you will go when you fix up those holes. Forward.

Good solution. On the job learning.
For what it’s worth, when I have a tarp up I like to use heavy elastic cord - it’s more forgiving than rope and lets it flex somewhat..

Everything can be saved…but is it worth it?
Make a thorough inspection of every part before you start. Open up any sealed compartments. Make sure each compartment has two vent holes so it can dry out.
Big question is whether it was properly sealed with epoxy to all surfaces and edges before being put together.
If not you might be throwing good money and effort away.
That said, even if less than perfect, it might still make a good costal cruiser…just don’t expect to cross oceans.
    Best of luck.
ps, I bought a home built ply cat recently…finding a few problems, not insurmountable, but a learning experience. Sometimes it is worth a gable.

Looking forward to the build..there is always utube to get instructional videos from..learn first then attempt. I'm surprised the crane man didn't say let's pull the mast. Don't quite think it's a 100.000 dollar boat. 15 to 20 when fixed up..but not a bad price to pay for boat. Just remember. A boat is just a hole in the water to throw money into..and a boats destiny is to go the the bottom.. hopefully without you on it.

Not negative. I wish you the best of luck..it's a good life on the water.. study for your captains licence. Then you can take people out..paying people..good luck. You have a roof over your head.
