    Good video. Enjoyable narration, informative, voiced well, and just enough of it. Love that sharp-looking MP-15.

    I remember when both those engines pulled passenger duty on the OB,and mainline! Mineola was a vastly different place back then! MP15 sandwiches,FA's,and other odd combinations!! And all the paint schemes,hard to keep track of then add the occasional C420,got real interesting! Thanks for the memories!! Oh,and then the RS-40/41,sported an occasional RS-1,2 or 3,plus assorted S switchers! The old Long Island keep you on your toes,as you never knew what to expect! From another old head,who spent many an hour at Mineola,Princeton Junction,and sundry other points on the Corridor,North and South!! At least I got published for my efforts,as you did,thanks my fellow compatriot! Thank you 😇!

    I am glad to see NYA stuck with paint scheme that is on the 156. Sometimes when units get sent off for rebuild, they figure it's a good time to change the paint scheme.

    Oh the days of Railfaning the Holmesburg Junction Bustleton Branch are long gone for me. I use to site inside the interlocking tower and watch the action from a dispatcher's control console .

    Another enjoyable video. Your videos inspired me to take a railfan trip to NY/NJ this past week. I hit Princeton Junction, Poughkeepsie, Woodside for an evening peak, Woodlawn for a morning peak and Secaucus for a morning peak. Secaucus was definitely the highlight, I caught both heritage GPs and the Erie Lackawanna DP, I also saw the Pennsylvania railroad heritage unit but it was on the high level when I was down low. Can’t wait to take another trip up that way, but until then I’ll be keeping an eye out for more of your videos.

    That peculiar rattling sound coming from the lead loco reminds me of my dad's 1962 Studebaker. A couple quarts low on oil.

    For some reason, as the train was pulling out of One World for that last time, I could hear Oscar The Grouch singing his "I love trash" song. B-)

      One World will still be served but it will be a different symbol, different weekly repertoire.

    What is that new housing in front of the engineer’s side cab window? Assuming it’s an air conditioner.

      Might very well be. Part of the rebuild.

    Don't people have anything better to do with themselves than deface rail cars with ugly graffiti? Wow, that's a disgrace. I remember the days back in the 1980's when the transit vehicles and stations in Philly were loaded with it. Every square inch was covered with it. SEPTA combated it by using special polyurethane paint where the graffiti could be washed off. Then they washed it off daily, as soon as it was put on. So no longer could the spray paint vandals see their handy work. After a while, the vandals got tired of it and it ended. Now there is "zero" graffiti on SEPTA. They don't do much right on SEPTA, but they got that right. I have to hand it to them.
    At one time, the New York City subway system was loaded with graffiti. Now it's rare to see any of it. They obviously have a policy like SEPTA. If the freight railroads cared anything at all, they'd do something similar. Arresting the vandals would be a good start.

    I think in a previous video you mentioned that the pl42ac had alot of problems I'm just wondering what they are??

    • @3985uprr
      @3985uprr  Год назад +2

      Lots of breakdowns. Oil leaks. Road failures.

      I was hoping the pl42ac would be somewhat reliable with it's 710 prime mover.
      Oh well great video as always 👍
