- Judith & her husband Ron performing with Turk Murphy's band at Earthquake McGoon's (San Francisco) in 1976. Judith met Molly performing with her Dad's jazz band and offered advice and encouragement to the youngster, who went on to record a jazz album at the age of 6.
Judith's show was recorded onto tape at the time and was recently rediscovered. My friend MixerRog has breathed new life into the mono recording by upmixing it to stereo, my thanks to him. / @mixerrog

When the name Judith crosses our ears, our hearts well up with a mix of sorrow for her departure and the beauty of melodies and songs that help us release our tears. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Rich for providing us with this comforting music.
Keepem coming rich.
Will do!
Can’t believe it’s a year already 😔
I don't think I've ever heard quite that arrangement of that old standard. And the audio of Judith's wonderful voice. Thank you for continuing to find these rare gems.
As always thank you for better Saturday Rich! Hope you have a great day.
Greetings from CALIFORNIA. THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO.🇺🇸❤️
Nice to hear Judith singing a song I've never heard her sing before. Molly is a bonus!
Nice! I’m glad you’ve opened up new avenues of enjoying Judith and her past,
.
Whoa, Richard, another incredible find! There must be a HUGE collection yet to be discovered and released, but it's still a great surprise when things like this appear. Thanks to MixerRog and you for upgrading and posting this. Also I had no idea about Molly's early jazz career. So fun!!!
thanks for this Rich 😀
What a great post! Thank you so much. Both performances are fun and make me want to get up and do the Charleston.
Thank you for this post Rich
I have read about molly ringwald in Wikipedia. She was born in 1968 in California and has had a quite interesting career as a tv series actress and as a writer as well. She is not mentioned at all in Judith's biography and it is interesting that her relation to Judith has been mentioned at last now.
@@osvaldoschilling9129 it was Judith's biographer, Graham Simpson, who told us in the chatgroup about Judith meeting Molly. Apparently the photo @2.50 was taken by Judith. (That's Molly's dad Bob on the piano behind her).
Just got my Judith Durham and The Hottest Band In Town LP, already worn out the turntable! You can tell jazz is her first love, she just soars! Just plain bloody grouse!
