That bread looks sooooo fluffy!!!!! "I don't want to hear about how bad it is for me, I already know!" BAHAHHA, same. I'm about to pour sugar all over this, I don't care about the bread. K. Thx. Bye
I just tried this recipe it was incredible! I have been wanting a French toast recipe since being vegan & this blew me away! If you are a French toast enthusiast this recipe is a must try! You may even fool some nonvegans!
Hi Candice, great the way you make your recipes vegan. Which I would like to see is: gypsy snitzel. I used to always eat these when I came to Germany, I loved the Ziegeunersauce and the sntizel. Nowhere else could you eat such a good snitzel as in Germany so it would be great if you could make this vegan for me.
Candace, did you color your hair, or did you go to a salon? If you did it, what is the brand and color? I’ve been craving French toast, so this may have hit the spot. Do you have any recipes in mind to make that use pumpkin? While I think pumpkin is a year round thing, others think it’s just for fall season. I drink pumpkin coffee, chai tea, which tastes like pumpkin. Maybe pumpkin cookies, with a pumpkin spice cream cheese frosting, or spice cookies, maybe using spice cake box mix, and a pumpkin frosting?
I LOOOVED french toast as a kid so I am pretty much sure I will love this recipe :D However, I feel so weird about adding the nooch and black salt into such a sweet recipe XD Especially considering my mum used to make these with leftover hallah which is definitely sweet and decadent :D . Anyways, sending you lots of love! Hope you're staying safe and having a great week!
Candace I don’t know if you remember, but I made a comment about zucchini fritters. I wasn’t trying to take away from what you were offering. I respect you as a vegan inspiration, I just have a quirky sense of humor. I meant no offense. You’re awesome and I love you ❤️.
French toast with ketchup and syrup is the way to go 😛 Don’t even tell me that it’s wrong because my British Nana taught all the family to eat it like that 🤣
Do you think these could be meal prepped in advance? If so, how would you? I like meal prepping waffles (Tho french toast is my fave) and then popping them in the air fryer.
Just read the ingredients, some margarines have whey, or milk byproducts. Some don’t. If you see an ingredient you don’t know what it is, google it. It’s kind of a pain. When a product says Vegan, you already know. But a few margarines are vegan, must have whey.
Yup....just went to Whole Foods in Denver, Colorado. Kind of buzzed....they were actually grouchy about your ingredients. Found a "kind" girl so got most! French Toast party tonight. Btw...my 14yr old wants to move to Canada. Besides stress, and high crime rates, can you advise? We love you!!
I do not like oatmeal. I like taking a cholesterol pill even less. I need a way to eat oats that goes beyond just boiling it until it's sludge then drowned it in butter and brown sugar. It doesn't matter how you flavor it, I just can't swallow oat sludge. Please help. ❤
what about making black bean burgers with oats to help them stick together? or i’ve made a “meatloaf” the same way. you can also make cheese sauces using oats instead of like cashews or whatever was supposed to make it creamy. OR blending bananas with oats and a little plant milk, you can make a nice “pancake” batter. i use oats a lot and don’t care for oatmeal either. wishing you health and happiness!
Great presentation, but I am intolerant of all soy except maybe tamari, keeps me from being 100% vegan unfortunately. And it`s not just soy....being vegan with IBS is almost mission impossible because you`re always hunting for that scrap of protein your gut can handle.
Now the real question is, are you a french toast or waffles kind of person?! Recipe is linked in the description as always!
Can I be both?? 🤔
french toast all day
Nah i prefer finnish thing called lettu/lätty :p
I love french toast. I haven't had since I became a vegan. I'm going to have to try this recipe out.
Waffles normally. Nice to switch it up once in a while.
After being late to all my zoom classes, this is what I am early to...
Does anything else matter? LOL
Same...

You literally saved my vegan, French toastless ass! I just tried this and it came out great! Thank you!
unpopular opinion but here is my ranking of breakfast foods: French toast > waffles > pancakes!!!
French toast is definitely number 1 but I would have to go with pancakes next. Normally people put french toast last!
@@davidsaenz2449 YEAA!!! But clearly french toast is SUPERIOR

I’ve looked at several channels and this recipe seems best.
Thanks!!
I'd love to see you remake your jamaican patties!!! Or more Caribbean style recipes or even a recipe just using whole food ingredients 🥰❤
Best French Toast Recipe I had so Far! Superior!!!!
Croissants and pain au chocolate! Thanks Candice! We live in a crazy world where Jamie Oliver is a household name and you aren’t 🤯
I can’t wait to make this recipe!!! Blend it, dip it and fry it😍
Literally this looks soooo amazing (I may or may not be drooling).
I'm having this for my birthday

I can't wait to try this. I'm not sure if you have already done this but have you thought about doing a stuffed French toast recipe?

alright wow this looks good!!! wondering if I could try it with date syrup? 😍

For regular non-sweet dipped in ketchup french toast would you just omit the vanilla and sugar?
French toast with ketchup and syrup is the way to go 😛
Don’t even tell me that it’s wrong because my British Nana taught all the family to eat it like that 🤣
Thank you so much! I really needed something new for my mornings. 💚
I wanna see your adult grilled cheese re-made hahaha with the carrots!
can’t wait to try this tomorrow 😁, ty🙏🏼
Good luck!
I think water challah is also a good bread to use.
I’m in love with your channel

Am I the only person who eats savoury French toast ? With salt , pepper , cheese and brown sauce
Ok... I’m trying that, because that sounds unreal!
peanut butter and blueberry with it🫠🤤
Interesting.
Hi! Where I’m from I can’t find vegan butter we only have margarin. So I was wondering what is the difference?
Just read the ingredients, some margarines have whey, or milk byproducts. Some don’t. If you see an ingredient you don’t know what it is, google it. It’s kind of a pain. When a product says Vegan, you already know. But a few margarines are vegan, must have whey.
This is genius
Anyone else in the soggy French toast gang?? I love when it’s a bit soggy 😍
What is a good brand of black salt?
In France it’s called just 'toast'
It's rather called "pain perdu" (lost bread) 😀
@@MahoghanyXO look it up if you don't believe me 😘
In France: Toast is with butter - not margarine. And Pain perdu is the one whos fried with egg batter. Get your facts straight- a french persone!
Looks delicious 😋
what can you use in replace of tofu?
Love it , please keep it up❤🔥💯
Thank you
Love it!
It's not the size of the pan but how you use it
What’s vegan whip cream?
The only time I tried making vegan French toast it came out a soggy mess so I'm a bit hesitant to try tbh
Any subs for the vegan butter?
Love the hair
The Sixpack though 😲

Orrrr you can use just egg lol that’s how I make my French toast & it’s perfect every time!
Aren't heavily processed foods unhealthy?
in your head they are
Did you hear what she said??
@@sharongreely Are you living in an alternate universe? The danger of heavily processed foods is one of the few areas of consensus in food science.

A lot of store breads contain eggs or egg white…
it's good to get in the habit of reading ingredients but there are tons of options out there that are vegan

Toast it in a pan or an oven and then add it to a smoothie base
