That sucks! My collar bone is almost 100% now from breaking it last November! Wasn't on my bike though. I was going 40 down the street on an electric skate board and hit a crack in the road just right and went down like a ton of bricks (stupid, no gear)... You need to start weight training! (so do I). Put some meat around those bones bro!
Damn bro. I’m glad that it’s just a collar bone and nothing else. I know it hurts man but rest up, pimpin. I think I can speak for all of us who follow you in saying that wish you a speedy recovery so we can see you back out there doing you thing👊🏾💪🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
The collar bone is the most common broken bone in motocross riders. Every time ive crashed my dirt bike its always the head and shoulders that hit first when you fly off.
Yo sorry this happen man. I pray you have a speedy recovery sir. You've helped me so much with setting up my gear and motovlog set up. You're truly a inspiration man. Best wishes
The irony is that it was less of a crash and more just falling off the bike. I never got to see Yammie Noob's first two crashes as they were successfully scrubbed from the Internet but that was the type of crash I was expecting, a combination of high speed and reckless behaviour. Cyclecruza hope you have a swift recovery.
October 2nd 2019 to october 5 2019 i was in the hospital with a collapsed lung 3 broke ribs road rash in multiple spots and multiple broken bones in right hand. Had gloves and a helmet on. Gloves saved my fingers and helmet saved my life. Shoei RF SR. Dead without it. Still cant go to the bathroom by myself, shower, or lay on a bed. Continuous pain all day and night. Hole in my cheat from tube to inflate lung is still leaking. Still gonna ride tho because i love it that much. My accident was completely my fault.
If you look at 1:14 you can see that the rear tire just spun when you gave it gas. So the front wheel didn't lift, at all. It just plowed straight into the log. You get some knobbier tires and you'll be fine in situations like this. Sorry to hear about your collar bone :/ That really sucks.
Dang my dude. We all learn from our falls. 1)Better off-road tires 2) Hitting the gym as u get old kepts bones thick & strong 3)wear air bag over off-road armor I Kno its all to easy to get lazy and half ass wearing our gear. Im guilty of it myself. Maybe this video saved a few Ryders in the future
Hey brother I pray for you to have a speedy recovery. Like a true trooper you picked yourself up by your bootstraps got yourself home and to the hospital safely (Outstanding). Again my prayer are with you.
I've seen people break things on foot just tripping over uneven ground or their own feet. Just makes it even more important to wear the best gear you can afford.
@@sed8181 or learn how to fall without hurting yourself... any off-road riders should should have been able to take that fall no problem ...no gear will save you from a broken collar bone it's all about how he landed and braced himself
Dude I've fucking fallen of of horses bulls trampoline gone of ramps on my dirt bikes . Biggest injuries I've had is scuffs and ripped clothes. This dude is made out of glass
A few years back i also said "Never broke a bone in my life" 3 months later got hit by a drunk driver head on. He decided to pull out on a two way traffic road to overtake the person in front of him, left no space for me and my s1000rr, hit me directly. Wrecked the motorcycle, fractured my spine/tibia/fibula/femur. Hope you recover fast homie.Stick to your physio, that will help you the most.
I hope you are well. Are you still riding? I too have never broken a bone in my life. Over the past 40 years of riding, I've had just a few minor crashes and minor injuries and they were all my fault. Presently, every week I put 560 miles on my bike commuting between home and my job. In the back of my mind, I have this feeling that the laws of probability say that I'm due for a big, bad incident like you had.
@@antalgyori6744 Hi i'm doing much better thank you! I hope you never have this kind of accident. I'm very lucky to still have my leg as the fractured part of the femur missed the femoral artery nearly. As long as you ride safe (Being that you ride for 40 years) i would say this is the case i don't think anything bad like this would happen as long as you're geared up and always alert especially intersections where most accidents happen. I'm from South Africa and more than 6 million people ride with licenses they bought, the other are either high on drugs or drunk. Only few people abide the law on the road. Ride safe out there!
This same situation happened to me a month ago. Guy came into my Lane trying to overtake the car in front of him without checking for anyone next to him and ending up smashing into the side of me knocking me clean off my zx6r. Hope you are well now, I still have wounds that are healing and scars that will last.
@@malmurchison3458 That sounds like a nasty impact mate, i hope you heal up quick! Stick to your physio that will help you out the most and a good ass diet. The nastiest scar they gave me was a 15+ inch on my thigh where they opened it up to remove dead tissue and blood around the fracture of the femur then again a 12+ inch scar on my shin where they had to remove the other hematoma and dead blood/fractured shards of bone. They ended up pulling out 1.5kg mass out of my thigh which was destroyed since the femur almost went through the skin but luckily it did not!Overall they gave me 2 rods (one through the hip into the femur and one through the knee into the tibia) and a few screws. Ride safe out there if you decide to ride again mate. I am riding again but i take things more seriously when it comes to defensive riding. Besides this channel check out "DanDantheFireman" he reviews accident (he is also a fireman as his username and a EMT) so he deals with many motorcycle accidents and teaches how you can maneuver better. But in a case like ours we could not avoid it.
I feel for ya Cruza, I'm just getting over having my foot crushed in a really stupid, easily avoidable crash. I wouldn't have gotten hurt at all if I'd been wearing all of my gear. ATGATT; All The Gear All The Time
Thomas Burnaman friend of mine crushed his foot two weeks at Bikes Blues And BBQ because I forgot to put his kick stand up and tried to get it up while moving
No gear will stop a broken collar bone you have to learn to fall / brace yourself for a fall without hurting yourself SMH that was a really weak crash to break a collar bone
@@Johnny-tq9no ^^^ ding ding ding.... I learned to roll when falling off my skateboard when I hit pebbles on the sidewalk as a kid. That has helped through every facet of my life. This is why they make jackets with armor. Duck & Roll baby!!!!
CC, sorry to hear about your crash. I'm glad it wasn't something more serious. I figured something was wrong since you hadn't posted anything all week. Take your time and recover completely. Don't rush the healing process. You'll be back on the road soon enough.
Glad you're okay. Definitely sketchy going off road with those tires. I've had them before in my dual sport. Great on the road but scary riding off road.
Yeah exactly what I'm saying. I had some street-oriented tires on my dualsport when I first got it.. I rode with them on pavement for a week. First time riding off road, I went to hit the front brake on the grass, and the bike didn't even slow down at all. It just went straight forward and the front tire slid. It was sketchy as fuck!! Totally ruins the point of a dualsport/supermoto if you can't even ride on grass safely.
I'd be real pissed off if I bought that $30k H2 just to look at it in my garage. I'm so glad I canceled that wire transfer at the last minute. Also, that's not a bike I would want to ride after rehab. lol
YOUR A TROOPER CYCLE CRUZA!! thanks for posting this, its real out there on the bike. shit happens but you handled it well. I will pray for a quick healing, get better my dude. keep on doing your thing. we love you and your videos.
sorry cycle cruza sometimes shyt just happens when you offroad. my friend broke his collar bone in over growth area as well and landed the same way as you. We do serious offroading though and it is all we mostly do.... and that was the first time he broke something.. my left wrist is also fractured and right knee got pretty f'd up. part of offroading. BUT AS I SAY, rather crash on the dirt vs the street. dont give up offroading as it makes you a much better on road rider and MUCH less likely to wreck on road. I wish you a speedy recovery.
Yeah better than getting nailed by a car. I'm wearing my airbag vest every time from here on out. I don't care if it deploys a few times, much cheaper to replace a cartridge than pay for a broken bone.
CycleCruza sounds wise. From that image it may not have deployed since it was a slow fall, but it might have. On two in the dirt, sooner or later we go down. Paved roads is our major fear of death. If you need content to continue for revenue, sponsors and business needs...consider taking out a young rider in your bug out van. Conversations with them. Their learning experience. Maybe some nice scenery on the lakes or countryside within a couple hours of home. Snows are probably a few weeks off and light snow makes a pretty country picture. If you don't need to keep the vid revenue coming or satisfy sponsors, then just rest till spring.
thats b.s. riding off rd is nothing like riding on rd. for one thing..falling isnt even an option. off roaders take waaaaay more risk. risky riding isnt an option on the street. off rd & st riding are 2 different mind sets...in my humble opinon.
@@foolishcoyote. umm yeah that is what I am saying lol..riding offroad makes you a way better on road rider. riding on road is 40x easier than offroad. so not sure what you mean by saying that is BS?
foolish coyote. Cars don't factor in for most offroad incidents. As you see most riders focus on street safety. They fear accidents as the speeds are typically higher, the surfaces often harder and a plethora of other vehicles...., vs casual lone dirt yard riding. The excessive worst case scenario thinking of 60+ mph wipeouts or crowded street riding can cause the caution to relax when removed to a natural setting. A lot of paved road accidents/injuries are also one operator accidents (might be over half as most of those aren't reported and counted)...however most focus on that damned car and cellphoner that didn't see me flying at 80 in a 40 zone. This was just an unkempt ROW service path of 50 yards or so. Not quite a full offroad experience, and I doubt his mind really clicked into motocross or TAT trekking mode. Ride safe man. None of us get out of this life alive, but here's to trying.
Glad your ok dude. I had my wreck about two months ago and I am just now getting fully recovered. "Gotta stay safe out here on these streets." CycleCruza.)
Get well soon Cyclecruza! I did not know you could break a bone falling like that, but now I know and will be even more careful if I can help it, so this video is very valuable as well! Thanks for sharing and heal up, we already miss you!
Good to hear you are “ok” CC! Started to wonder what was wrong. Also reminder to take it easy offroad when you are alone out. Been thinking about it, really wet leaves etc here in Sweden in the trails, easy that something goes wrong. Get well soon so you can ride again!
Collar bone tsk, i overshot my s1000r headfirst 3mos ago on a 12ft cliff and end up shattering my right collar bone, dr. had to install stainless/titanium plate to fix it, wrecked bike rebuild now... nice to see you recovering man, get well soon and ride safe always
Sorry about the injury cycle cruza I feel for you bro bro literally. I broke the exact same bone yesterday but on a mountain bike jump it hurt like hell, kinda nice to know I’m not the only one tho. Hope you recover quick and you’re right I got to get me an airbag vest!
Best wishes to you Cruza. You will heal. In a very real way, this is an opportunity. You've built a body of work that includes some of the most, if not the most, entertaining and inspiring videos about motorcycling. You've often discussed accidents, and staying motivated. But now, you can walk the talk in a way that is as hard as it it is authentic. Heal, man, heal. You're the best.
As someone who has broken his collar bone, I can tell you the airbag vest most likely will not stop you from breaking your collarbone. Collar bones snap when they're compressed in most cases, meaning you land on your shoulder and it jams inwards, or it pulls outward and is lever against your ribs, so the vest wouldn't have helped with much, other than putting pressure on the break. When I broke mine, half was jammed into my rib cage, half jammed up into my neck, and my fall looked pretty similar to yours so I assume you landed shoulder first and levered the collarbone downward. Either way, have fun. Took me 8 months to recover from the realignment surgery, so I wouldn't anticipate doing much of anything. Find some good games to play or books to read my dude

Feeling your pain CC, it happens to the best riders, just not your day. But not your last day. You'll heal up and be back on the bike soon enough. Just rest and relax, heal, and keep us posted.
Man fuuk that I’m getting airbags for my foot my hands my back and my belly and wrap on around my head. It’s easy to a fuuked up day out here . Prayers coming at you CC heal up quick
When I was a little kid me and my sister would laugh about that "I've fallen and I can't get up" tv commercial You don't have to be old , and it doesn't take much to put you in a wheel chair. He won't be swinging that arm for a year , thats what makes it real when you think about the implications. Not being able to defend yourself from an attacker cause you can't swing on them leaves you feeling helpless. Not to mention hauling $600 worth of groceries home just got a whole lot harder

Prayers for a speedy, straight recovery Cruza! I took a fall in August, broke ribs and slept in a recliner for 5 weeks. You'll be back in the saddle by the time the snow melts any way! 😉
Glad it’s nothing super major. ☝🏻Man it don’t look like it was that bad from the camera angle. Isn’t it weird how the little accidents is the ones that mess you up? I’ve have 4 wrecks in the past year and managed to escape with just a bit of road rash. I have my last 2 crashes on my RUclips channel! 1- Honda grom wheelie goes bad 2- wrecking my fz07 on the dragon
CycleCruza It sucks though. How long they tell you your down time would be?? How would the airbag vest helped on this situation. If you still hit shoulder first would it not have done the same thing? I’ve never seen a airbag vest in person so I’m not sure how it is they work. But hopefully you be back at riding soon. I’m assuming they put a plate in your collarbone?
I'm sorry man. Know if u walked away it could've been worse. My one and only broken bone came from a motorcycle crash. I hope u have a great speedy recovery. Can't wait to see u back out.
I feel bad for you man. Hope you heal quick and strong. I'm 68 and the only thing I ever broke was the little toe on my right foot (hit it on the bottom of a door at home) when I was 43. It hurt like hell and the doc said there was nothing he could do. He told me to just stay off it. Well I taped it to the other toes and just gritted my teeth and went about my business. I'll keep you in my prayers. Look forward to seeing your new vids.
As someone who's broken both their collarbone and scapula I can sympathize with you. Just don't rush into getting back on the bike. If you do, any small bump could break it again as it did not fully heal. Then you'll be out even longer. But in the end, at least you're still here with us to make these videos. Like I said CC, take your time.
Almost identical to my incident almost 4 years ago, except I went over the bars on my KLR650; low speed, but hit a deep rut hidden by vegetation overgrowth, which stopped me dead in my path from about 25 mph, and I went over the bars, landing on my right shoulder, shattering my scapula and tearing my #1 and #3 rotator cuff tendons (as well as other stuff like bumbing up my leg and such)... I just barely escaped without surgery. My stepson is a physical therapist so I followed his directions on therapy along with intense study about it, and had myself back to 99% in 6 months time (riding again in 3 months; I couldn’t even raise my right arm to reach the throttle until about 2 months); very similar healing and therapy procedures to a broken collar bone, and I was told that it was odd that my collar bone didn’t break. In short though, I can relate to a nearly identical recovery style and methodology to what yours will be. I’m at 99.9% now (where I will be for the rest of my life). There is an audible and feel-able “clunk” in my right shoulder when I do things like overhead presses, but it’s not enough to stop any normal activity. I know it ABSOLUTELY WILL come back to haunt me though in my older years. That’s a normal part of life. Yours will too, guaranteed, so do the best you can with your healing and therapy. I actually OVER DID my therapy exercises and hit a wall at about 80% at about 3 months in (about the time I started riding again), and I didn’t finish the rest of my recovery from about 80% to 99% (range of motion, flexibility, and strength) until I backed way off and cut my exercises down to about half. I was overdoing it. In short, when the doctor clears you, HIT IT HARD (and the exercises will HURT LIKE A MFer), BUT, give yourself TONS of rest and recovery time in between therapy/training days as well...
Take care Cycle cruiza! I will sent you my prayers here from the Netherlands. I had a similar crash 3 weeks ago with my 690 enduro and broke my wrist.. I know how amazingly sad you feel because this crash just simply shouldn’t have happened. I hope you will recover soon and will not have a lot of pain. Because I cannot drive at the moment I kind of miss your videos so I hope you will continue to post some amazing cool happy videos like you have been doing in the past. Don’t give up, and take care man! Best wishes from Amsterdam. Mick
wow! such a major injury at such a slow speed. im glad you shared this. shows everyone just how easy it is to get injured. i can imagine how deflated you must feel realizing you arent as indestructible as you thought you were but it didnt kill you so now you have the opportunity to get stronger.
So sorry to hear that you hurt yourself Cruza. Hope you heal up soon. Now it's time for you do some easy work on that herd of bikes you keep in the stable. I'm sure you will come up with some good ideas for videos. Heal up quickly and I will be watching. God bless ya!
Cruza, hang in there bro, you’ll heal up! As a hardcore mountain biker & motorcyclist I’ve had this injury & you have to be patient & just let it heal. Best of luck, hope you feel better soon!
Get well soon. Off road anything can happen very fast, especially on tall bike. Thank you to share the video and all good things you do for the motorcycle community.
The collar bone part of feeling the good side and then the broken side. Haha funny shit bro. I remember doing the exact same thing when i broke my collar bone when i crashed 5 years ago. You’ll be back💪 just rest bro

guess I'll start saving money for an airbag vest cause what happened to you doesn't look fun
You just didn’t drink enough milk as a kid
That sucks! My collar bone is almost 100% now from breaking it last November! Wasn't on my bike though. I was going 40 down the street on an electric skate board and hit a crack in the road just right and went down like a ton of bricks (stupid, no gear)...
You need to start weight training! (so do I). Put some meat around those bones bro!
get well soon cycle cruza hope to see you riding again soooooooon.
SERIOUSLY ! go see an orthopedics guy! Even if your break isn't as bad as mine was. You could get surgery and be back riding in a week or two.

The collar bone is the most common broken bone in motocross riders. Every time ive crashed my dirt bike its always the head and shoulders that hit first when you fly off.
Yeah Travis Pastrana said he broke his 4 times, the last time they put in a cadaver clavicle. lol
Yo sorry this happen man. I pray you have a speedy recovery sir. You've helped me so much with setting up my gear and motovlog set up. You're truly a inspiration man. Best wishes
godspeed the healing bro. your gonna be aight.

SDTat 2 Thank you. Im awake now because the broke rib in the back is gnawing at me.
1)Better off-road tires
2) Hitting the gym as u get old kepts bones thick & strong
3)wear air bag over off-road armor
I Kno its all to easy to get lazy and half ass wearing our gear. Im guilty of it myself. Maybe this video saved a few Ryders in the future

Hey brother I pray for you to have a speedy recovery. Like a true trooper you picked yourself up by your bootstraps got yourself home and to the hospital safely (Outstanding). Again my prayer are with you.
goes to show even a small spill can break your bones
I've seen people break things on foot just tripping over uneven ground or their own feet. Just makes it even more important to wear the best gear you can afford.
@@sed8181 or learn how to fall without hurting yourself... any off-road riders should should have been able to take that fall no problem ...no gear will save you from a broken collar bone it's all about how he landed and braced himself

I hope you recover soon. You've been an inspiration to ride motorcycles!

Totally ruins the point of a dualsport/supermoto if you can't even ride on grass safely.

sorry cycle cruza sometimes shyt just happens when you offroad. my friend broke his collar bone in over growth area as well and landed the same way as you.

Eternal Horizons is correct. You broke it do to compression, air bag vest would not help you on this one buddy. God speed your healing.

I feel bad for you man. Hope you heal quick and strong. I'm 68 and the only thing I ever broke was the little toe on my right foot (hit it on the bottom of a door at home) when I was 43. As someone who's broken both their collarbone and scapula I can sympathize with you. Just don't rush into getting back on the bike. If you do, any small bump could break it again as it did not fully heal. Then you'll be out even longer.

All the gear all the time
+airbag vest all the time every time!
Get well soon. At least you learned some valuable lessons and passed them down to us! Thanks CycleCruza!
