Hi Kay, I purchased the ballet alphabet as I thought it was similar to the ITH holly bunting. I am very new to all this, but can I replace the the Holly and letter with a letter from the ballet alphabet. I want to make a girl’s name banner that can be used all year round x
Hi Jennifer, I don't see why not but you would have to check the size and alignment due to the shape of the bunting pennant when you put the Ballet letter on. I would do a test stitch if I were you, I would hoop 2 layers of wash away stabilizer and without using any fabric stitch colour 13 of the bunting to give yourself the outline with the eyelets, as you will need to take them into account for the positioning of the ballet letter, then load the ballet letter and stitch out the outline for it on your tear away in the position where it will fit (use the buttons on your machine to check the stitch path before you stitch it out. This is a very inexpensive method to see if they will both work together. If all is good you can simply stitch it all out properly over the top of your test stitch, nothing wasted then. If it doesnt fit all you have lost is a bit of stabilizer. If it works then use the following colours: Load a bunting file it doesnt matter which. Stitch Colour 1- Batting and front fabric outline. Place your batting down over the outline and stitch colour 3 (not 2 as you don't want the holly outline showing through) Then trim excess batting. Place your front fabric down and stitch colour 3 again to attach it. Load your ballet letter into your machine and align it to the bunting. Follow the instructions to stitch it out. Once stitched load bunting file again. Place you backing fabric on back of the hoop then pick up at step 13. Let me know how it goes. Happy stitching
I have tried using my 5 x 7 hoop for the 5 x 7 size but my embroidery machine has told me to use a bigger hoop which is really annoying, why does yours fit in a 5 x 7 hoop ?
Hi Alison you might want to run through this checks Have you recently downloaded the files from your KK account? This makes sure that you have the most recent revision of the files Are you sure that you picked the right size file? Have you tried rotating the file 90 degrees in your machines settings? What is the stitch field of your hoop in millimetres? Check this by measuring the length and width of the printed grid on the flat plastic piece that came with your hoop. This is the mazimum are that your machine can stitch? Oval hoops sometimes have a reduced stitch field and you may need to use the next size hoop up because of this. If you are a member of Kreative Kiwi's Facebook group there in the files there is a download called A GUIDE TO UNDERSTANDING EMBROIDERY MACHINE HOOP SIZES that you can download as it explains the rather complicated world of embroidery hoop sizes and it shows how to measure your hoop's stitch field. What brand and model of embroidery machine do you have? Is there a code written on the hoop? If so what is it? Which letter are you stitching and what is the file name?
This may sound like a stupid question but what is the bunting used for I always thought a bunting was Something you wrapped the baby in im from the states so that might be the confusion
Hi Linda it is used to make messages to hang up on walls for example congratulations to the bride and groom, Happy anniversary, happy birthday, its a boy/girl, anything for any occasion or decorating a room with them add a name or saying to hang in a bedroom. If you google bunting images you will see lots of examples.
Hi Patricia, it is a complete set with the whole alphabet, a blank and numbers 0-9. If you click on this link you will see what is included. Happy stitching. www.kreativekiwiembroidery.co.nz/product/In-the-hoop-Bunting.html
@@KaysCutzHow can you download the alphabets as a whole rather than individually adding each one separately to USB. I am talking about all designs that are on Kreative Kiwi I have ordered. Also why are thread colours listed separately to the instructions. Is there a better way I can do it. Thank you for your great videos.
@ the letters are part of the bunting they are not available separately. I don’t know what you mean by colours listed separately. You purchase a design and you download the zip file and when you unzip it all the parts that are in the set will be in there.
@ you would have to ask Kreative Kiwi that, but all the bunting set is in one download file, so you download and unzip the file and the whole set is there and you select the parts you want to stitch and drag them on a usb key. Not sure what else I can say really. To select everything in the file, you press Ctrl and A, then right click to select copy and then go in to where you want to put them and press Ctrl V to paste onto your USB key 🤔
Hi M W yes depending where you are from masking tape or painters tape but not the low tack stuff as it doesnt hold. I like the cheapest as it has good strong sticking power. Happy stitching.
This is beautiful for a baby shower

I bought this design but need a & so that it can be used as wedding bunting
There is an update coming very shortly to add an ampersand to the set June.
June I have sent you a private message on Facebook.
When is the update coming out I purchased the bunting set and how do we get it
Do you have to use WS stabilizer or can you use a tearaway?
Hi terf. You do have to use wash away because of the satin stitching. Tear away isnt strong enough to hold up. Stay safe and happy stitching

Kays Cutz okay thanks for clearing that up!
Does the whole alphabet came with the bunting or is each lettered bunting purchased separately

Here is a newbie question. What type of tape do you recommend. Is it called masking tape
Hi M W yes depending where you are from masking tape or painters tape but not the low tack stuff as it doesnt hold. I like the cheapest as it has good strong sticking power. Happy stitching.
I would recommend white paper tape (medical tape). Masking tape is too sticky and difficult to remove.
