Thank you for the review! I build for part of my job and for a hobby and I have always been Leary on internet overseas purchases and it is nice to have a second opinion. Also, thank you your comment at the end. It gets tiring listening to people who are offended that you don't have the same believes as they do. Love your channel!

Banggood is similar to Amazon, a big mail order conglomerate that's, "HiT -n- Miss" on the quality side but prices are generally
decent. I've bought a Watch Tool for taking backs off to change batteries & a Jewelry tester to detect fake diamonds/stones
plus a digital jeweler's scale that adds up what you have from 6kt - 24kt gold. The scale was very nice but the Watch Tool was
kinda flimsy & felt cheap. The stone tester works so I guess it good. All of these were inexpensive so I can't complain. Also
I bought some fishing items ; hooks, swivels, ect.... the hooks were not very sharp but everything was cheap, money wise and
the quality but they're are like Amazon so you can get some good quality things but sending stuff back to China might be more
of a hassle than it's worth? Overall they were middle of the road but all was in one place. Thanks for your review. I had forgot
about these guys but now I'm gonna LQQK again. peace

Thanks for sharing your experience! You have a good point when it comes to returns. I am not sure how it works with Banggood. It sounds like a lot of hassle for a low-cost product. I do have experience with temu, and so far, they have been excellent. They just sent me my money back instead of requesting a return. They let me keep the products that I wasn't happy with without even asking what the issue was. Maybe Banggood deals the same way with returns/refunds?
      Cheers!

I used to use several saws like the one they sent you, based on your review I'd pick up that saw b/c the price of a good
one is going to be higher. There are a bunch of these conglomerate sales outlets around the globe which fits into their
One World Ideology(1 Gov/Religion/Bank/ect) but I digress. When Walmart his N. America it caused millions of those
small Mom -n- Pop businesses to close down. Anyhoo, it's nice to get a heads up on a product. Chat soon, I trust.

Ordered some good stuff from banggood, among others a fantastic soldering iron, but it is pretty hit or miss sometimes so it's good to research before

I agree that those online stores from overseas have a lot of crap on their page as well. It sure helps to do a little bit of research to filter out the bad apples.
      Cheers!

I order from Banggood since 2020 . 4 out of 5 times I am very satisfied. Only two times purchases really disappointed me because of poor quality. First time, Banggood refused any settlement as the product was as described - and description did not say anything about quality. Second time, Banggood refunded me.
Descriptions for my purchases were always accurate yet eventually not always complete :) .
One thing to consider, especially when you purchase products with "consumables" as saw blades: it may be hard to get spare parts. So, if you hope to get spare parts, maybe focus on some "local" brand. But things like rulers, clamps, fences, miters, etc. all have been bought from Banggood and are of very good quality.
Also, maybe not buy the cheapest version at Banggood, since also they have differences in quality reflecting in the price.

Great review. Sorry you have to put up with the RUclips crap. I have been looking for a set of dowel pins but didn't know what they were called.

Thank you! Yeah, it really is too bad that some people feel like the only way to make a point is by being a total jerk. Honestly, I didn't know the name of them either, I just found them by chance when I was looking for potential items for the review😄

Good comparison video and excellent commentary at the end. I have no issue buying Chinese-made products. Most Western brands are made in China, so why not buy Chinese brands? If the price and quality are right, it makes sense.
The hand planes I buy (here in Australia) are from an Australian brand but are made in China. I buy them instead of going to the source manufacturer because of warranty support. If it has a problem I can just go back to the shop I bought it at instead of having to ship it back to China.
Just watch the Chinese car manufacturers over the next 5-10 years. They will end up just as good quality as anything made in the US, Japan or Korea, but at a better price point. They're not there yet, but they will be.
The main concern I have about the likes of Temu, Banggood and AliExpress is where a product is clearly an identical copy of a different brand, effectively theft of the IP. That's not OK.

    • @adrianwoodworm
      @adrianwoodworm  24 дня назад +2

I agree with everything you said. We live in a world where we don't really have a choice anymore. We are so dependent on Chinese products that it would be nearly impossible to avoid them if you would try.
I just read an article about Chinese car manufacturers ramping up the production and quality. I think your comment was spot on. Just give them another 5-10 years, and we will have another big player on the field.
Also, I totally agree that the theft of patents and designs is not acceptable on any level. It goes way beyond being competitive in a global market. It simply crosses a line. Unfortunately, it is very hard to identify as a consumer. I couldn't tell you if the design of any of the reviewed tools was stolen or not, for example.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
      Cheers!

@@adrianwoodwormThe pull saw looks like a copy of a Vaughan "Bear Saw".
Counterfeit guitar strings, as in indistinguishable from the genuine item, are sold on eBay. They look genuine except for the price. The average guitar player assumes that he has gotten a great deal.
