    Great video! I have bought thousands of dollars of items on TEMU with very few bad products. Of the thousands of dollars that I have spent fewer than fifty dollars has been returned. Even the return process is easy! TEMU is burying Amazon, ebay and the likes. I love the fact that these money gouging companies have some real competition! If I had bought the same items that I purchased on TEMU at Amazon or ebay it would have easily cost me over ten thousand dollars! Temu to me is a fresh breath of air, products as good if not better than anything made here! Sad to say but true! I will continue to buy on TEMU! And for you people who say "Traitor, buying from China, I challenge you to pick up any item on any wal-mart shelf and see where it was manufactured".

    can this be used below the water line?

    • @adrianwoodworm
      @adrianwoodworm 13 дней назад

      Good question! Yes, you could, but I wouldn't. It is completely waterproof, without a doubt. This method has been used in the past, only with different, oilbased paints. The problem is, in comparison to something like epoxy and fiberglass, it has very little wear and puncture resistance. A hull that makes contact with the ground on the shore would be compromised much faster than other more common materials. That being said, I think it could be a good, low-cost solution for a foam core kajak for example, as long as you are aware of the weakness and act accordingly.

    Some people say their first coat on the canvas is a 50/50 mix of glue and paint. Have you tried that? I also heard that Titebond 3 will not stick to it's self when it is dry. Thoughts?

    • @adrianwoodworm
      @adrianwoodworm 14 дней назад

      @jdedmnds1 I never tried to make titebond stick to itself. In my opinion, there is no advantage in mixing glue into the paint in the first coat. If anything, I would argue it is counterproductive. The glue would make the paint and canvas harder and, therefore, more brittle. The elasticity of acrylic latex paint is what helps to prevent cracks and leaks. Also, titebond 3 is more expensive than paint.

  • @user-dv7hb2sc9m
    @user-dv7hb2sc9m 14 дней назад

    Yes, dremels & other rotary tools are game changers on many jobs & I used them extensively doing antique repair/carving for those antiques. At one time I looked up dental rotary tools b/c I knew they hung up using just a shaft & I wanted a variable speed motor w/ a 4-5 foot shaft on it. This was in the early 80's when my family had a Shop where we stripped/refinished old furniture. Cool that they sent you one, I've been needing one again so I'm watching. Thanks for the review, peace.

      How long have you had the dremel & how many times have you charged/depleted her - over time they get weaker or that's my experience w/ some lithium batteries. peace

    • @adrianwoodworm
      @adrianwoodworm 14 дней назад

      @user-dv7hb2sc9m I only worked with it for a couple of weeks. I do expect the battery to lose some of its capacity, for sure. Draining them completely like I did in this video is not the best thing to do. To stay in the range of 10-90% battery life would be the best to preserve its full capacity. Thanks for commenting and sharing your experience! Cheers!

    • @user-dv7hb2sc9m
      @user-dv7hb2sc9m 14 дней назад

      But you did do a great review, I was only thinking an extremely used dremel couldn't beat a new battery but I've not seen any better review of any rotary tool like this. Heck, most wouldn't compare batteries or temperatures w/ measurements either so you were very thorough in this & fair. It's why I watch you... peace

    • @adrianwoodworm
      @adrianwoodworm 14 дней назад

      @user-dv7hb2sc9m yeah, I know what you mean. That's why I mentioned that a person has to consider that the battery in the dremel probably lost 10-25% of its capacity after years of work. But even after adding that percentage back to its runtime, it was still well below the runtime of the DEPSTECH. Anyways, thank you for sharing your thoughts and commenting, I really appreciate it🙏

    I think a lot of this stuff is stolen tech, R+D cost money, and if the Chinese factory can just steal the design from their customer, the factory can save money allowing them to sell for less. If you are into stolen products I understand there are a lot of name brand tools that have been stolen from the big box stores available for a discount from side walk “stores” in the LA and SF area.

    It's been worth it to me. I got a 1980's Rockwell table saw and a 14" Delta band saw from marketplace over the last few months and the only thing I had to do was to polish the tabletop of the table saw as it was coated in surface rust. The band saw was made right around the year 2000 but looked like it just came off the showroom floor. The thing still had the manual and a spare set of cool blocks in its original bag. In the future I will tear down the table saw to give it a good cleaning and possibly replace its bearings as, while everything works on it, it's a little stiff turning the control knobs and while the belt works fine for now, it is showing signs of beginning to crack from age. And since I'm going to be inside it anyway, why not change out the bearings. I gave $200 for the table saw and $430 for the band saw. The guy was asking $450 but gave me $20 back because he said I seemed like a nice guy and wasn't trying to haggle with him. I said, "Well, when I see a price, I figure that's what they want so that's what I pay if I want it. If they're asking more than what I want to spend, I just look elsewhere."

    I work on the False Creek Ferries at Grandville Island. Our boats use a roll up canvas that have a transparent panel at the viewing level. The whole "door" rolls up and is secured by a snap buckle, or on the smaller ferries, a twist fastener is used and the canvas is removed in good weather. Just Google: False Creek Ferries and click on Images. You will see lots of pictures of the arrangements. Have fun deciding on a method for your mini boat!
