Congratulation on the collaboration with Banggood. Banggood have a high quality tools, but they often miss out on little things and it will benefit us all to catch it pre-production. Perhaps you can use your influence to encourage Banggod to offer some items that are oddly missing now: T track that can accept the Enjoywood clamps, lockable benchdogs in different heights, track saw rail guid hinge system, fence system for MFT table, flip stops that fits 2040 aluminum extrusion, large triangle square for MFT rail/fence calibration.
I'm not a BangGood fan, but I've been subscribed to your channel and your level of integrity has outweighed my level of skepticism - just ordered mine. Thanks
A week after ordering it, the sled has arrived all the way from China to Scotland. Real quality piece of equipment which obviously will give many years of service. Highly recommended.
Very good bit of kit except for one thing. Included is a a thin pies of ply to support the work piece, obviously this will need replacing and they have very helpfully etched the hole spacing on the base plate. they are 37.5mm from the edge and 108mm apart. Now you might have the vision of a hawk and a rule calibrated in 0.5mm, but I and probably most people don't. How hard would it have been to place the holes 30mm or 35mm from the edge and 110mm or 105mm apart? That's probably the only thing that lets it down.
Dennis, I just recently found your channel. I really appreciate your honest approach in reviewing these tools. I ordered this coping sled based on this video and it was exactly as you described. It's a beautiful well-made tool on par with some of the very expensive tools that I have in my shop. This was also my first experience with Banggood. Shipping was as to be expected to the US, about 10 days, not bad. Transaction was smooth. Thanks again for the good content you're producing.
I saw this on Bangood 2 days ago, was anxiously awaiting the video. I just saw it and already ordered, thank you very much, my first Hooked on Wood product
I’m in the process of setting up a minimalist wood shop. It will be mostly for cabinets using sheet goods, so will be using a track saw for all my cuts, no table saw. But there will be times I’ll want to make face frames, this will take care of that nicely.
Great product Dennis - nice to see you working with Banggood to produce top class products - hope this continues! Ordered my coping sled today, thank you!
Looks great. Ordered one. The T ruler was really useful for drilling shelf pegs. If this is half as good (and it will be), it will be a brilliant purchase.
I've been looking for a decent coping sled for some months. I don't like the "bridge" clamping system most use. This looks so much better and so much ,more versatile I purchased one immediately! Thanks. I'm looking forward to working with it,
Another great product and video! I was watching another woodworking video today and I saw he was using your T square! I got more excited than I probably should have but I'm happy to see woodworkers supporting each other and your great ideas being put to use. Congratulations!
Hi Dennis, great video! I ordered the template today. Thank you for the useful information you give us in your videos. You are the number one! Greetings from Italy
Mine arrived yesterday, great piece of kit and well done Dennis for collaborating to make it so versatile. Your workshop videos are an inspiration and I am enjoying being in the workshop today on a very wet New Zealand day.👍👍👍👍👍
Hi. Just received the jig. Very impressed. No manual, probably not needed but it would be nice. Just a suggestion, it would be helpful if you would have a manual and tips section on your website for your recommended 5 star tools.
It's nice to see you working with a good company that actually wants to make better tools. I'm definitely going to purchase this sled!! Thanks for sharing!! Much ❤ Denis!!
Just today I finished the review in Italian of this product and I attributed to you the improvements even if in my version there is not your logo eh eh
Congrats Dennis on another great looking and looks like an amazing project I hope that some day I can afford to buy these tools for my new work shop. Keep up the great work and videos.
Wow awesome work Denis it’s been a joy to follow your channel and see your growth and the works of art you produce, these banggood partnerships are just taking that to the next level. Congrats mate
I've been using the router sled for a few weeks now. I really like it, but I wish the handles were made of thicker plastic. I dropped the sled from waist height and one of the handles broke into multiple pieces. I'll be trying to make a wooden replacement.
Hi Dennis, I enjoy your videos and do watch them from time to time. I wanted to give you a helpful note as I speak English as my first language. At 0:50 you have the message on screen: DON,t FORGET TO The correct spelling would be: DON'T FORGET TO I hope this helps, thank you for sharing your videos with us.
For those of you that may have a Sawstop 27x16 inch router extension wing, this sled will not work correctly. When the sled runner is adjusted to have the two UHMW strips of the sled on the table surface to keep the sled level, the aluminum lip in the front of the sled will be in the path of the router bit. If you adjust the runner to get the sled out of the path of the router bit, the UHMW strip closest to you will be off the table - resulting in the sled’s aluminum bottom sliding on top of the cast iron table. I’ll try to add another UHMW strip (0.88mm thick) to “fix” this.
Hi Denis, have bought a number of tools recommeded by you including the wonderful mitre fence combination. I made the huge mistake of assuming that all table saw slots are the same (19mm wide) I have a Kity table saw that I knew was narrower but had decided to upgrade to a secondhand Startrite which I knew had a 19mm slot. It does... but it's too shallow for the fence!!! I can't see an easy way to modify it. I don't suppose Hondui make such items with different slot fittings? What are the dimensions of a Bosch table saw slot? Frustrating that I presently have £250 invested in very beautiful, but useless, hardware! Regards, Will Caro
Nice sled. Next tool you need to do is a fritz and franz jig and miter sled for the slider with manhood. The dog system plate from the coping sled with the miter gauge fence for a stop would be pretty cool as the felder miter system is around 1K.
I enjoy these videos. Keep them coming along with your new designs. I received my coping sled today and have it put together and ready to use. Excellent quality. Question: I have 2 15mm black nylon washers with a split. Where do they go / used for?

Dennis, an answer would be nice. Holding my purchase because Banggood says the height limit is 110mm or 4.33 inches, which should be the height under the clamp head. But it doesn't look that way, it looks like that dimension is the height of the clamp post without the clamp heads. Meanwhile, the post height for the 'window' or plexiglass that rides on the router fence looks way less than that, which limits the thickness of the wood that will fit under it to process. Are there extensions or higher posts? Seems if we add on to existing posts, those post assemblies won't be as rigid.
Hi Dennis, this looks like a well thought through product! Are there any recommendations / information about the maximum size of wood that can be worked with on this product? in terms of width and maybe also length? I make frames and the wood is sometimes 1m long and I also work with boards sometimes. Thanks!

As you show, the typical use of a coping sled is for routing the ends of workpieces. The issue often encountered is tear-out at the exit side. To prevent this, one uses a sacrificial piece of wood. But, I'm struggling to see how the combination of the reference pins and hold-down clamps accommodates this sacrificial tear-out prevention piece. Can you show us some examples in a follow-up video?

You don’t need to install the bar for the miter track. That is an optional feature but is not necessary at all. What the track and miter slot do is to help hold the jig for repeatability. If you are careful like on most router table applications the miter slot never gets used. You would be safe to buy this jig with confidence.
@@HookedonWood I would 100% second this. I've looked for ages to find a Bosch sized guide rail that wasnt made of plastic. I noticed other people asking on the Banggood Q&A section about the exact same thing.
Hello Dennis, that coping sled look awesome, considering ordering one, but one question in reference to the placement of the miter bar and distance to the bit. I have a Harvey table saw and a Harvey Router table with its two miter slots, a standard and a narrow one. The standard miter slot is approximately 43mm from the center of the router bit. What is the adjustability of the miter bar on the coping sled? Thank you for you assistance and always enjoy your content and fabulous work.

First of all, I want to thank you for the time and effort you put into making your videos; I know it's no small task. However, I am disappointed that you are now charging nearly €50 for access to the plans on your website, especially since they used to be free. Many viewers like me support your videos and you already generate revenue through advertisements on RUclips. I've noticed that your channel is becoming increasingly commercial, with income from both affiliate links and the sale of your plans. I understand that quality content has value and that creators deserve fair compensation, but I hope you can find ways to keep your content accessible to everyone, perhaps by offering a differentiated pricing model or special deals for loyal followers. Thank you for your understanding, and I hope you take this feedback to heart.
I am a huge belever in all of your work - design and execution. However I cannot agree that this sled covers all the bases. My biggest need in using a coping sled is the sacrificial wood for preventing chip out at the end of the cuts. Every piece has to have a sacrificial piece of wood backing up the exit of the bit or blade from the wood I am creating. This sled makes NO mention of it nor does it appear to make accommodation for affixing one.🤥☹
Good that you mention that. Offourse is that possible and even better as with the other sleds available. It is just a piece of wood and with the clamps you have more possibilities to clamp both the sacrificial fence and your workpiece.
You were a long time defining the function of a coping sled. Why? It was in the title. Why waste our time getting to the point? You are not alone in doing this, unfortunately.

me..."ooh ive got a few extra quid in my account" , dennis .." not for long!"...

"What template are you using at 9 minutes and 27 seconds?"
It is part of the INCRA router Fence.
@@HookedonWood Thanks ! What device would you recommend for making tenons while holding the piece of wood vertically other than this incra device?
All that foam is not environmentally friendly.
You were a long time defining the function of a coping sled. Why? It was in the title. Why waste our time getting to the point? You are not alone in doing this, unfortunately.
The level of entitlement in this post is truly mindblowing.
Not to mention the epic level of snark. Sheesh!
Maybe RUclips just isn't for you! And I think entitlement just about sums it up
