I'm not correcting you, but I do want to point out that this riff is FAAAAR from simple. There is a lot of pitch bending, but listen for the trem flutters he throws in there. Every time he does that, he has to spin the trem arm backward and smack it just right to make the bridge flutter up and down rapidly. This man is legendary.
It’s because he’s in Limp Bizkit. They’re perceived as very simplistic cheesy party rock rap. It’s like if Albert Einstein taught 3rd grade science and math class- he’s still that insane genius but never gets the credit cuz “hey he just teaches 3rd grade”
@@nicbtw6062 it was in Ontario California last year. The final show of the “Limp Bizkit Still Sucks” tour. What was so cool was that less than 24 hour before this video, I had no idea about this concert. My daughter said that she thought maybe they were in town. We bought the last 3 floor tickets and got there early to grab the rail never letting go…. It was awesome
No. Not in this video absolutely not. This is a Wes Borland showcase, and not just because he’s in frame. The guitar work is the only instrument doing anything jaw-dropping.
Favorite guitarist of all time, the sounds he makes with a guitar are fucking amazing, bands with their sound usually have 2 guitarist but he does it all him self
Let me set the Tone, its an Alternative Universe.. You come across some Metal Band in your Teens.. Song starts with Ryan Martinies groovy flow on Bass slowly speeding up, Wes Borland starts softer tones before he Switches it over to a Flithy Riff, Joey Joridson Starts Smashing out Doubles.. 😍😍😍
Such a creative guitarist, so glad I saw LB live a couple months ago. Anyone know what effect(s) he uses to get the 'glitchy' sound on the trail-off during the distorted riff? It sounds like some digital degradation or something, but super cool.
I think I know what you're talking about. That's very likely the ibanez Chorus/flanger CF7 he uses... you have to turn first 3 buttons to max and last one to minimum and the bottom two options have to be switched to the right side. This is how you get that "glitchy" sound
Random. But been of bunch of set's that you attended caught my self inn mosh pit just curious what do you for work/$ I've beena 100 plus concerts ihave the$ but not the time. Health wealth prosperity for you and all loved one's take care of eachother I love you all💜
Takes a hell of a guitar to stay in tune after 20 seconds of that kinda whammy abuse.. ya gotta give this man credit it is pretty creative and he is consistent
Dude is a master at crafting simple yet effective riffs

@@KG-sx2ou interesting. As a guitar player myself, I did not know about the last method you pointed out. I thought I heard it all lol

Yes. He is the most underrated guitarist to ever live. Wes Borland is the people's goat
Totally agreed, one of the best guitar groovers... ❤
He is good but not underrated.

Wes is like the EVH of Nü Metal, he makes a very creative use of the Floyd Rose bridge and also, his stage presence is unmatched
His riffs are so fucking good

that purr sound is a trademark of wes ❤
this psychodelic intro is something incredible
I like that Fred always hypes up his band mates
Me and my daughter was at the rail just left of the speaker 🤘🏻she caught Wes’ guitar pick after the last song 😬
Cool

One of the baddest mfkg guitar players of all time. And the nicest guy ever in person.
The king of metal riffs
This is not metal. And he's below average when compared to actual metal guitarists.

I really like watching someone do something they clearly enjoy 😊 when that whammy section kicked in he was really enjoying himself

I've always thought Wes Borland and Les Claypool would have created some ridiculous masterpiece album, had they been bandmates. The LES WES Connection
Wes is gold
Wes SHREDS the guitar

Этот звук прекрасен!❤❤
Even now that I've grown up from the lyrics of Limp Bizkit, I still love the guitar riffs.
Wes is S Tier, I don't care what no one says.
I can just tell by looking at him that he’s a trader; the type that burns bridges and ruins good things
The fact that one of the best numeral riffs is in a track so late into their career is increidble
Absolutely slaying it... 🎉🎉🎉
