The Whitbread Bedford Chinese 6 brings back memories.
Thanks for the memories,Thank you.
How those fellas went up and the country in those tiny little cabs amazes me! They all deserve medals. Another brilliant video x
hi Caroline, To be honest, I think it was more fun back then, I did nearly 50 years on the road, and my early days were spent tramping around the country for BRS Gloucester, we stayed in transport digs back then, and we always met up with other drivers who would go to the pub, or to the pictures, and most of the digs did great meals too. I wouldn't want to do it now, sleeping in the cab in a lay-by.
@@krakatoa1200 I was a driver all my days, now retired but as you say, staying in digs, great meals, great laughs, wouldn’t want to park in a layby either, yes we had the good days.
Kind regards.
Johnny
@@Swimmingforlife. Hi Johnny, They were good days, hard going at times, roping and sheeting in a snow storm with frozen ropes and sheets, but if we had a load shift, or a blow out a couple of drivers would always stop and give a hand, and then all go to the nearest cafe for tea. I ended my days at B&Q Chepstow doing night trunk for them. Happy hard times, cheers drive. Terry.
Nice to see an E.F.Phillips lorry there, another firm that were local to me, they did plant hire too.
Anothe great vid, don't know how you do it.
awesome
We passed a couple of trombone trailers on our way to Abergavenny last week.
That's a late registered GUY , 'B ' reg ( 1984 ? ) ..I didn't know they made them up to then .....or am I missing something.
Registered 1985( probably a import) with an unusual plated weight of 31290kgs.
Interesting that the Atkinson eight wheeler and drag 3*37 had a second man which I think was compulsory
What a shame that Bedford truck site is now a supamarket
talking about Dunstable ???
👌👍🇮🇪
