Chief RB Mike Garrett (#21) who fumbled the ball against the Vikings (11:47) was beloved in the KC dressing room but had a very poor relationship with KC coach Hank Stram. Shortly after this, he was traded to San Diego. Many of the Chiefs were upset about the trade and said that morale on the team was hurt by it.
I remember when the Vikings lost to the Baltimore Colts in the playoffs in 1968. Vikings QB Joe Kapp was so bitter about the loss he vowed he would beat the Colts when they played each other in the Vikings home opener in 1969. As it turned out Kapp threw for 7 TDs against the Colts in a 52-21 blowout. If Kapp had been able to resign with the Vikings after the loss in SB4 to the Chiefs I'm sure a similar fate would have awaited Kansas City in the Vikings home opener (although they did win 27-10 I'm sure it would have gone far worse for the Chiefs if Kapp had been the Vikings QB)
To the right of the screen. Notice a key block on Doug Buffone. Delivered by non other than Vikings punter Tom McNeil # 12. Why is he even in there ?? Freeze it @ 19:32
Pat Summerall provided the narration of this highlight film.
Ya gotta love that music
Vikings had great teams for allmost 10 years . Just couldn't come home with the gold
Mary and Rhoda's Vikings..
Although they rooted for the team from Southern California

Kapp plays on this team and vikes probably win SB V! Just my opinion
Dunno he was kinda old
@@danholm4952 he was definitely better than the two QBs who piloted the Vikings offense that season. Plus the loss of his leadership was felt dearly
Old ?? He was 32 in 1970. @@danholm4952
yet another disappointment, I accepted it long ago, its never, ever going to happen ! Oh PLAY OUTDOORS!
