- A hazmat specialist boards one of the so called "death trains" to find and secure an alleged dirty bomb.
This cinematic was supposed to release back in December of 2021, but as we know, things tend to change and so did my schedule. I initially wanted to make a bigger movie or even start an original series, however, back then I didn't have an established Source 2 Filmmaker workflow and was just getting started with the new pipeline. So I decided to scale it down to an action short.

I love how the terrorists don't even...seem like "normal" terrorists. They look like well-trained operatives to me. They look so cool and yet mysterious.

I disagree. Well-trained operatives don't push like that recklessly. It's a single tunnel space and the moment they decided to traverse, almost guarantee to get shot out in the open.
It's a stupid tactics. Not to mention the terrorists have a visual confirmation that he's a lone wolf. The primary objective of the terrorists would be to delay so the bomb will be secured.
They didn't even have to push.

@@vipahxxx7640 In order to push, the attackers must have 3:1 numerical advantage over the defenders, in the last clip the terrorists clearly do not enjoy this advantage but they still push nevertheless.
That's why they were all taken out by a lone wolf.

Выглядит как трейлер трипл-А блокбастера, с многомиллионными бюджетами. Не могу представить сколько времени ушло на создание всего этого в одиночку (за исключением голосов естественно)
Работу над этим роликом я начал ещё в октябре прошлого года и планировал выпуститься в декабре. Но в связи со всякими непредвиденными штуками релиз всё время сдвигался. В итоге полтора-два месяца работы растянулись на необоснованные полгода. Хотя тут ещё сыграл факт того, что я только знакомился со вторым сурсом. И дофига прокрастинировал!

This is fricking amazing. I don’t know how to animate, BUT GOD THIS MUST HAVE TAKEN SO MUCH DANG TIME! I’m proud of you! This is amazing.
Thank you! This short relies on lots of animation sequences from various Call of Duty games, carefully extracted, directed and stitched together. Sounds easy, but not quite. Took me actually about 5-6 months of on and off production. Under other circumstances, I could have done it in a month or two.

Yes! There was basically Deep Lore™ planned, as I initially wanted to make a series. But I had to scale it down to just a short, so DEM is just one of those things that remained.

The camera angles on this were fantastic. The moment the "termination protocol" was carried out and it cut to a camera point back at him from the side of his barrel was wonderful as were the shots showing him moving up the train. What a great short!
Based off this animation alone, the ceiling for quality Source 2 seems dramatically higher.

You know, I'd like to make a little breakdown, but it would take some time because this project was made through a very messy unprepared workflow and I'm not sure it would be too informative.

I love the lack of plot armor within this, it shows that our protagonist here can take damage, and isnt impervious to rounds like the mando, while mando has an excuse, he should still feel some form of kinetic energy from the blaster bolts, and its the opposite here when the protagonists visor gets broken

this short is realistic, everyone is taking cover, push very carefully, but the group of three should have throwables too, and they should hide behind solid cover, that will make more sense
