I did collision repair/Refinishing for 40 years and taught it at a public technical school for 6. Do yourself a favor and invest in a portable fresh air system. I can almost guarantee that you'll suffer from COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) later in life. I used one, but it was too late for me. I stated out with a standard respirator in the beginning of eurethane paints. I can feel my ability to breath slipping away, not fun being out of breath all the time. And no, I'm not smoker. I hounded my students about it, and recommended the only stay in the trade a maximum of 15 years. Those isocyanates are killers, along with all the other toxic chemicals related to that industry.

No offense but sealer coat was still wet before base coat and they didn't tack cloth or clean it so they just painted into any possible bits of dirt in the air into the paint
And thers supposed to be a flash time between coats wet base on wet sealer doesn't give hardener time to do what it's supposed to do
I haven’t watched this in a long time. Why do you think the sealer is wet? It’s usually given 20 mins flash.
How much paint to i need to paint a 1985 regal 2 door with 1/4 vinyl top im just painting the out side no door jams or inside trunk or hood just outside. How many quarts do i need or gallons im going with house of kolor candy apple red

HI Guys, I would have put the first coat of colour on before removing the temporary masking to reduce the film build on the door and fender, i asume he painted the back edge of the hood off camera, good job guys
i agree or blend the sealer into the door to help with the color match, blue is so transparent.

With that transparent blue, if sealer was blended into the door major can worms. With blended panels masked off, apply two coats of color. Then start blend. This will allow less color at edge of blended panels and with solvent base they're still room for tinting color if need be. Even though this is water
If i tryed to spray clear like that I'd have runs everywhere.

The grey color is the sealer primer. It is to give a uniform surface to spray over.
Also for adhesion purposes

I wouldve used either blue or a dark colored sealer, not as many coats trying to cover it and not as much see through out in the sun
And one more question do you polish after a painting like this? I don't know how it works there in America, I'm Brazilian and I live in the interior of São Paulo

Covering blend panels to spray sealer 👍leave paper on and put 2 coats of color then start your blend especially on transparent colors 👌

Almost wish the car was primer grey. Would look fantastic. Nice job. I've noticed a lot of guys don't have air spraying even without paint flowing. That was the first tip I learned years ago. Blows away debris before you get to that spot

Damn. I can’t get my blue metallic anywhere near that thick on the first coat or it will wrinkle. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?
Could be a lot of things. Wrinkling or lifting is usually caused by inproper prep or if you are doing a spot repair, it could be the fresh solvents essentially getting under the old layers and they wrinkle. Sometimes you have to do a tack coat and dust it on or just go easy on it. Also, some paints are more susceptible to lifting. I personally like ppg for price to quality ratio.
