This is so awesome, it sums up my red dwarf memories perfectly. And that part when you learn about Ace's fate, when he joins the rest of the Aces (7:13-8:00), is simply worthy of at least one tear. Love Dimension Jump as well, and everything Ace for that matter. Too bad he has not made a reappearance so far, but I heard a new season is on the way :D
They're from the DVD releases where Goodall's music is available. Most of the music cues on the DVDs are short, but there are some real gems among them. Indeed, the third cue in this suite is very sad. I also find the theme playing during Ace's funeral to be very emotional (7:13-8:00).
Indeed, such a sad and beautiful theme. I also find the cue that plays at Ace Rimmer's funeral, starting 7:13, to be very affecting. The music is from the official DVDs, where there's a section called "isolated music cues". Not all of the cues are good listening, but others are very enjoyable.
With 25 likes and no dislikes before you arrived the verdict was already in. Whether people like suites like this essentially depends on how they use youtube. If people are curious about a certain score and wants a little taste, or if they stumble upon the video by accident, a suite with highlights is the ultimate way to be introduced to it. For people who look for a specific track or use youtube as a filesharing program, a suite will be of little use. No way is better, they're just different.
On youtube I prefer short suites that present the most important highlights. If people want the full tracks, I recommend buying the DVDs. For people who don't want to spend money, there are countless proper filesharing programs out there. Anyway, most of the tracks in this suite are actually complete, they are just rather short.
I can't seem to find the episode where they I'm sure it was the song she's not there by the zombies, they were standing in the corridor with guns I think it might have been the alien on board don't know why it doesn't show up anywhere anybody know which episode it is and is that the correct song?
where did you get this music from? The third song is so emotion filled. I can just imagine Rimmer depressed sitting on the observation deck looking across into the blackness of deep space
It's a taste thing whether people prefer suites with highlights or full tracks. That you have a certain preference doesn't make it the proper way to do it. I have a different preference on how I'd like to present and hear music than you, and since it's my video my preference gets to decide. Dictating that others should post videos according to your preferences will accomplish nothing. So click dislike, shrug your shoulders, find somethng else that you might like. That's the reasonable reaction.
You don't seem bothered either apparently. You say that you have the DVDs, but you don't bother uploading the tracks. If you want the full tracks uploaded to youtube, do it. Like everyone else on youtube I upload what I want. I don't upload what you want. I'm not your slave after all. Why you seem to think that I should work for free to service you and everyone else, I find rather puzzling. If you want something, do it yourself. Don't expect strangers on the internet to take orders from you.

"I knew he was dead....I mean they're all dead, aren't they?"
Everybody's dead, Dave.
Shh! Rimmer's Dad's died!
@@WardyLion I'd prefer chicken
@@johnshoepack are you trying to tell me everybody's dead?
one does not simply recover from "better than life" quick enough to dance to "tongue tied" haha
the same can be said about going between the 2nd "smoke me a kipper" and "the Rimmer experiance"
Howard Goodall is such an underrated composer. The second "Stoke me a clipper" track on this is absolutely perfect.
This makes me smile but also cry

1:32 - 1:56 My Funeral Song
+Mr CreepyBoss My favorite song in the whole of red dwarf, i love it so much. Is there a full version?
Animate Chap Try typing in the red dwarf soundtrack
yeah
Mines 8:02 - 9:23
Creeps 2:11-3:19 my funeral song
4:50 - 6:14 It can't a coincidence that it almost sounds like Take My Breath Away by Berlin. 😂
Definitely not 😅
I have ALWAYS thought this since I heard it years ago, used to get them mixed up!
it's space age topgun
that was the whole point lol
The more Sentimental pieces really do bring out that loneliness of the show.
It's playing in the series VII episode "Stoke me a clipper" at Ace Rimmer's funeral. The music can be found on the series VII DVD release.
Howards game was strong for series 1 and 2. 'the end' is so good!
Electric guitar, Epic trumpet and do I hear a harp?
Dimension Jump has a 'Take my breath away' feel to it.
Ace Rimmer! What a guy!
Smoke me a Kipper I'll be back for breakfast!
7:13 beautiful trumpet
some of the best music!
Our Rob or Ros

Dimension Jump reminds me of old amiga games. The rest of these remind me that Red Dwarf is a high point in science fiction.
7:12 to 7:59 ninjas cutting onions
smoke me a kipper
"All those Rimmers"
"They all did it, they all became Ace, are you really going to be the one to break the chain?"
For me this tune is perfect for one of the few moments the series as a whole conveys they gigantism of space as a whole.
Stoke me a Kipper is heart rending.. 😭😭😭

same. I cried when I heard it
